It takes 2-3 hours but it was well worth it... a must see! You can download the app on your phone and listen to the audio as you go through the museum if you don't want to take the tour. Just remember to bring your headphones otherwise you will need to rent them there for a few bucks.
If you visit Manhattan, this is a must see. That said, dont expect to come out of the experience "feeling good" except for the fact that you took the time to pay honor and respect to the Americans (and others) who were murdered, to America, and to the heroes who responded. You may also come away with a new or renewed hatred of the despicable persons who carried out the attacks and murders. You may say to yourself, "never again." For part of the tour you will actually be in the below street level areas of the Tower where you will see foundation walls and steel support columns. Allow at least 2-3 hours to walk through, but its easy to spend more time than that.
Highly recommend visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum. One of the best things to do in NYC. It makes you appreciate life and the courage of first responders. The museum is well organized and you could spend hours looking at all the exhibits.
Buy tickets ahead of time -- it's worth it not to wait in long lines behind other purchasers! In addition, it's quick and easy and the ticket was downloaded to my phone.
Very good . Emotional to see all the photographs in the memorial room.
Atmospheric with all the projected films around the walls.
Well worth a visit the hardship and the loss of life the people of America had to put up with at these sad times and events.
My wife and I were touched by the moving tribute to the horrific events and aftermath of 9/11. The respectful monument to the human stories of tragedy was well presented and allowed a lot of time for contemplation.
Great Visit - A must for anyone visiting New York.
Everything that has been done at the memorial and museum is a stark reminder of whats happened but has been tastefully done.
Love using Viator! Always the easy way to get into an attractions, skip the lines and the tour guides are always great. The 9/11 museum was no different. I use them all over the world. Thank You Viator! Glyn from USA
Very easy to navigate great service a moving museum! We had a group of 10 so buying ahead of time made it much easier!
It was a bittersweet and awesome experience. The artifacts were amazing and yet reflected the horror and sadness of that time. Extraordinary experience!
A very moving and well done memorial. The sheer size of the museum and the thoughtfulness of the exhibits were overwhelming at times. A must see for everyone..
The memorial and museum are things that are a must during a NYC trip. So well done and a wonderful remembrance of those who perished that day.
Everyone who lives in the U.S.A. should visit this museum. Very moving. A tribute to all of the innocent people who lost their lives on 9-11. Never forget!
Very touching experience! A lot of information and detail! Great Memorial/Museum. I highly recommend going!
We loved this memorial. One trip isnt enough to truly see and explore everything they have. This is an awe inspiring site for so many reasons. They have done an outstanding job of showing and sharing all the stories, memories, and horrors of that day. Everyone should visit and have a deeper understanding of the magnitude of destruction, and loss for this great nation. Loved what that have done to memorialize for generations to come.
Sobering, profound, impactful. A must see if you are visiting NYC.
