Stop At: Oahu Nature Tours, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

Join us on this exciting journey of discovery that will satisfy your senses and provide exceptional photo opportunities. Our first stop is near the world-famous icon of Hawaii, Diamond Head Crater, where we stop at the Amelia Earheart monument which overlooks the Pacific Ocean as the 100.000 year old volcanic crater towers above you.
Our island discovery continues with the beautiful Hanauma Bay, a pristine marine eco-system with colorful living coral reefs and beaming fish and marine life.
Travelling along O’ahu’s spectacular southeast coastline we arrive at the famous Halona Blowhole and “From Here to Eternity” beach where Green Sea Turtles can often be spotted in the emerald green waters of the cove made famous by the only Oscar-winning movie made in Hawaii.
Our next stop is Makapu’u Lookout where you will see the island's most recent lava flows, and enjoy incredible panoramic views of offshore islands, turquoise and azure ocean water and breathtaking lava cliffs above.
Driving North we arrive at the Valley of the Temples and visit the colorful Byodo-in Temple, a photographer's dream.
Continuing on the relaxing windward coast we also visit scenic Chinaman’s Hat, a picturesque islet located in the warm, tropical waters of Kaneohe Bay.
Laie Point is our next stop. Here you can see native Hawaiian coastal plants and birds and Kukuihoolua, the famous puka island with a hole in its center.
We stop for lunch at Fumi’s Shrimp Stand on the North Shore where you will be served your choice of nine different sauteed shrimp plates with steaming rice and a delicious, shave-ice treat.
World famous Sunset Beach is next on your itinerary. This is the legendary big-wave surfing location where towering, giant waves arrive between November-April.
Next we visit Waimea Valley and Waterfall. This enchanting location showcases over 5,000 species of tropical flowering plants, ancient archaeological sites, and one of the most scenic waterfalls on the island.
Our last stop is the historic Dole Plantation where you will find many colorful varieties of pineapple species from all over the world.
Throughout your journey of discovery around the island of Oahu your nature guide will provide a fascinating narration about Hawaii's bird and plant species, geology, history and culture.

Duration: 11 hours

Stop At: Diamond Head State Monument, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

Our first stop is on the outside slopes of the world-famous icon of Hawaii, Diamond Head Crater, where we stop at the Amelia Earhart monument which overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Shangri-la as the 100,000-year-old volcanic crater towers above you.
*This tour does not include an entry inside the crater, but makes a photo-stop on the outer flanks of it. Hiking to the top of the crater from inside is included in our Diamond Head hiking tour.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

Our island discovery continues with the beautiful Hanauma Bay, a pristine marine eco-system with colorful living coral reefs and beaming fish and marine life.
(*Hanauma Bay is closed by the State on Tuesdays to give the bay recovery time from sunscreen pollution and protect the reef's species.)

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Halona Blowhole, Oahu, Hawaii

This is an intriguing geographical spot where the ocean has undercut the lava and drilled a hole through to the top.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Eternity Beach, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

Green Sea Turtles can often be spotted in the emerald green waters of the cove made famous by the only Oscar-winning movie made in Hawaii.

Duration: 15 minutes

Pass By: Makapu'u Point, Oahu, Hawaii

Driving along a beautiful, scenic coastline overlooking the Makapuu Peninsula.

Stop At: Sandy Beach Park, Oahu, Hawaii

We continue to visit Sandy Beach, a beautiful sandy-bottom beach that looks peaceful and serene but is known for its notoriously powerful shore-breaks, pounding waves and body-surfing opportunities.

Duration: 15 minutes

Pass By: Nu’uanu Pali, Oahu, Hawaii

The Nuuanu Pali State Wayside is a lookout above the Pali Highway tunnels where you’re treated to a panoramic view of Oahu's Windward side with sweeping views of Kaneohe, Kaneohe Bay and Kailua. It’s also well known for strong tradewinds, forming a natural wind tunnel of sorts. It was here in 1795 that Kamehameha The Great conquered the island of Oahu in one of the bloodiest battles in Hawaiian history. Led by Kalanikupule, the defenders of Oahu were driven back up into the valley where they were trapped above the cliff. More than 400 of Kalanikupule's soldiers were driven off the edge of the cliff to their deaths 1,000 feet below.
**Important Notification:
A recent landslide and the subsequent shutdown/ closures of nearby roads by the State of Hawaii is currently making it impossible for us to visit one of our stops on your Ultimate Circle Island Adventure.
The affected location is the Pali Lookout. We can still offer you eleven scheduled stops around the island though because we are adding a replacement location: Haleiwa Bay, where we will look for endangered Green Sea Turtles and see a Baywatch Hawaii filming location. The State is planning extensive repairs for the next two months until about August this year. This period of course can be shorter or it can be extended by the State but as soon as they open the roads again we are reverting to the original itinerary. The tour price remains unaffected by this itinerary change.

Stop At: Byodo-In Temple, Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii

The Temple grounds are a lushly landscaped paradise nestled in a cleft of the pali and are home to wild peacocks and hundreds of Japanese koi carp. The beautiful grounds include a large reflecting pond, meditation niches, and small waterfalls. Visitors describe this destination as beautiful, peaceful, and restful.
The TV series Hawaii Five-O and Magnum, P.I. featured several episodes where the temple is incorporated into the plot. The temple and its gardens also appeared in an episode of the ABC series Lost, "House of the Rising Sun" in season one as the home of Sun's father.

Duration: 30 minutes

After lunch, you can observe endangered wetland birds, and learn about Hawaiian aquaculture from your tour guide.
*Lunch is included in the tour price!

I took this trip with my wife to take a closer look at the remote places in Oahu which are not very "touristy" and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. I will list down the pros and cons of this trip:Pros:1. This trip was very well organized, the tour started and ended exactly as mentioned so this allowed for better planning for the rest of the day.2. Monique (hope I spelled her name correctly!) our tour guide and driver, deserves a special mention! The best tour guide we had so far! She was very informative of the entire trip, right from the origin and cultural history of Oahu to all the different biological species we saw on our trip (she is a budding biologist!). This tour is operated by Oahu Nature Tours and they donate part of their income towards nature conservation, so a big thumbs up to them!3. This trip includes food, they take you to a local shack which serves garlic shrimp that is locally sourced (which is supposedly a big deal since they only have enough shrimp to cater to 1/3rd of the tourist population, the rest is imported).Cons:1. We booked this tour on Viator, but there was very little description included in terms of the list of places we will be visiting. Especially, Hanauma bay was listed as a major attraction, however this site is closed on Tuesday which is when we took our trip, and therefore we could not visit it. This info was not included in the tour description and was a little disappointed to not visit it.2. This tour includes multiple halts which lets us enjoy the different parts of the island. Although most places visited are awesome, there are some (Dole plantation- pretty average although personal preference) which could have been avoided and resulted in more time for others (Byodo-In temple deserves a lot longer of a time span than provided).

Levant, our guide, was fabulous! He was so well informed and interesting. We learned so much about the Hawaiian Islands! The geology, history, flora and fauna that is unique to the islands was explained with such expertise. We made many stops to view various beaches, parks, important sites and famous sites. The lunch at the shrimp shack was delicious! We highly recommend this tour. Ask for Levant for you guide.

Great tour of the Island of Oahu. Our tour guide, Levent, was excellent. Really provided lots of interesting facts and extremely knowledgeable, personable and professional. Lunch at Fumi’s Shrimp was outstanding. Well worth the time for trip and cost was very reasonable for approximately an 11 hour tour. Highly recommend

This was an excellent tour. The tour guide, Ken, was incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and passionate about his home. It made the tour really enjoyable. He also had a lot of good information about places to visit that weren't directly on the tour's path. All in all, an excellent tour and money well spent. 10/10

Our guide Michelle took us on an amazing sightseeing tour of Oahu on the Circle Island Adventure. We saw waterfalls, botanical gardens and learned a lot of local history and a lot about the natural areas of Hawaii. Michelle's background in biology/botony was amazing! She took us to a shrimp shack that made the most amazing fresh shrimp and corn grown right next to them. We say waterfalls, rock formations, lava beaches and more. If you visit Oahu, don't miss this trip!

I wrote one review right after our tour was completed, but I don't think it went through. Just to reiterate, it was a perfect way to get a good feel for the island and know what places we might want to revisit whilst here in Oahu. Our guide, Levent, was fantastic and so informative and interesting. The lunch stop at Fumi's Shrimp Farm was great....and was included in the price. You must try their garlic butter shrimp!! Totally yummy. (If you're not into shrimp, they had several other choices which our group made on the bus. Levent called it in so lunch was ready when we arrived there.) We saw so many sites and learned a lot about the history of Oahu, saw some homes of famous people, visited beautiful beaches, saw some historic sites, visited Waiamea Falls, and came away with a much better understanding of Oahu. I would take this tour again, even though we already did it this last time. The

Paul was the absolute best tour guide! He was humorous, easy going and knowledgeable about so many neat and exciting placing all over O'AHU. I would recommend discontinuing the Dole plantation visit (too touristy and it didn't really offer any educational awareness just purchasing possibilities). I would have liked the option to visit the macadamia nut farm more than Dole. Cut out some of the smaller beach stops. Tour bus was clean and I have memories embedded on my heart forever as a result of this tour. The Waimea Waterfall was killer awesome!

This whole tour was awesome from start to finish thanks to our tour bus tour guide Tori !!! Tori was awesome !!! Tori was very personable and knowledgeable about the whole island and all of the locations that we visited. Tori even went out of her way to take us to a beach to see Sea Turtles. I recommend that whoever takes this tour to request Tori !! This tour was a long full day and absolutely worth it. This tour is a must see if you are visiting the island and you won't be disappointed !! My whole family loved this entire tour. When we come back to this island we will definitely do this tour again !! This tour should have a rating above 5 stars !!
