Journey through the beautiful Arizona landscapes on this small-group trip from the Phoenix-Scottsdale area! Visit the Grand Canyon and explore Route 66 on an exciting full-day tour.
After departing the Phoenix metro area, your tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As you continue further into Northern Arizona, travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.
Williams will be your first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion. While you are enjoying Route 66, your guide will pick up your box lunch made fresh that morning. (Starting Jan. 1, 2019 box lunch will be offered as an option.)
You’ll experience about three hours within the National Park marveling at the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. Don’t forget to visit the historic El Tovar Lodge and Hopi House in Grand Canyon Village. While at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, you will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or enjoy your lunch and relax with the best seat in the house.
Then, enjoy a scenic ride back to the Phoenix-Scottsdale area.

The tour exceeded our expectations. Les our driver and guide was exceptional. He is so knowledgeable. We were entertained and educated. When we go again, we will request Les.
I was in Tempe for ASU graduation with family and friends. Really wanted to see the Grand Canyon and booked this tour and had no regrets. Steve our driver and guide was so knowledgeable and made the trip even better. Would do it again!!
Best trip ever! Justin, our tour guide, knew all of the best places to stop at the Grand Canyon for the best views! He also knew the best places place to stop for pie in Williams on Route 66, another place that we stopped along the way. It really is a great tour, we highly recommend it!
My sister and I planned a last minute trip to Phoenix. Fortunately, there was space available for us to go on this Grand Canyon tour. Grand is an understatement! The Grand Canyon is truly awe-inspiring. Justin was an incredible tour guide. He was entertaining, knowledgeable, and fun. We’re so glad we had this experience, especially since, coincidentally, it was Earth Day! When I called a day prior to the tour I was advised to wear closed-toe shoes and that there was a chance of rain. This let me know they really cared that we have a great experience.
Had a awesome time, our guide was packed with energy and was very knowledgeable. would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a hassle free day to see the grand canyon
The day trip was excellent all round, putting the feet up, letting someone else do the driving and listening to great narrative about the local area was a great plus. Thanks Bruce. Joining up with guides and rangers was excellent.
The trip was very enjoyable and our guide, Bruce, was very knowledgeable about the area; the animals, the climate and the landscape. He was very prompt and friendly, very enjoyable and accommodating. I would take this tour again, especially if we could get Bruce as our guide.
Andy was a really good drive/tour guide. He gave us a lot of info all the way up to Grand Canyon. Good courteous service.
Paul was an excellent tour guide. Our party of 4 were very impressed with his knowledge. The day was filled with great views and weather. Couldn't have asked for more.
This was a great tour and gave us a thorough overview of the Grand Canyon. Our guide, Jon, was very knowledgeable. On our trip to the Canyon, he provided a lot of interesting information about the Phoenix area and the Canyon. Once we arrived, Jon knew the best areas for views of the Canyon, gave great advice on what was most valuable to see and did a great job of balancing the time we spent at each stop. It was an excellent day and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Ruth and Bill Brown
Excellent way to see the Grand Canyon for the first time. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Made a stop in Williams, AZ, and tried the pie at Pine Country Restaurant which was an added bonus.
First time visiting the Grand Canon and it was awesome. Our guide, Jason was extremely knowledgeable and shared his love of Arizona during the trip. We were a group of 12, but it seemed we’ve known each other all along. The sights were breathtaking...I still think about the wonders of this trip. Jason should run for Governor of Arizona...he knows that state inside and out! He taught us so much. So happy we booked this trip,,
Really informative and hit all the great spots to view the canyon. Tour guide, Mark was very knowledgeable about Grand Canyon and Arizona in general. Don't think there is anything about Phoenix or Arizona that he doesn't know. Absolute best way to see canyon if you are staying in Phoenix area.
Steve is an excellent tour guide. He drove the participants safely to and from their hotels and the Grand Canon, and patiently waited for the participants when they ran late. You could tell Steve genuinely loves his job as he very enthusiastically shared his knowledge and experiences with us throughout the 1-day tour. A very enjoyable trip made even better by Steve's interesting insights on Phoenix and the Grand Canon.
Grand Canyon tour for the whole day was super.
The group of 13 people were awesome
Great tour. I highly recommend it. Our tour guide and driver, Brendan, was friendly and knowledgeable. He made the trip enjoyable. If you’re short on time, make this tour one of your choices to take. You won’t regret it!
Jon was a great guide very knowledgeable and was able to answer everyone’s questions. The trip was well organized and well run.
This was a great tour! You could be as active or less active as you wanted to be and still see the beautiful sweeping views of the Grand Canyon. The tour guide, Andy was VERY informative and made for a great day! Well worth the money!
I only had one day to visit the Grand Canyon, and am so glad I chose this tour! We had four hours at the Canyon, and Mark, our guide and driver, took us to several awesome viewpoints. At the first I was thrilled to have enough time to walk a short way down the Bright Angel Trail. The journey was long but Mark kept us entertained and informed with fascinating facts about the region, and a great playlist for the road trip home! The packed lunch was also very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this tour as an amazing experience of the Grand Canyon if you only have one day to spare.
