Your Mt Rainier journey begins with pickup at your hotel in the SeaTac or Seattle area by coach bus or sprinter van. Enjoy a scenic drive, with your expert driver and guide narrating the views outside your window along the way. Admire Alder Lake, the quaint old logging town of Eatonville and historic train boxcars that have been repurposed.
Take a brief break at Longmire’s visitor center to explore the museum and National Park Inn. If time permits, go on a quick hike on the Trail of Shadows. Then get your camera ready for a photo op at Christine Falls, before tracing the Nisqually River up to Narada Falls, a bridal veil waterfall that is taller than Niagara.
Then comes the best part: the views at Paradise, at 5,400 feet (1,646 m) above sea level. Grab lunch here (own expense) and take in the stunning views on the southern slope of Mt Rainier and the valley below. Watch for Roosevelt elk, deer, black bear, marmots and the elusive red fox lurking around the mountain. You’ll then have the option to go snowshoeing and sledding, if weather conditions permit. During the summer, take in flower meadow vistas and enjoy an extra stop at Reflection Lake. Cap off the day by learning a bit of history at the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center, where you can read informational displays and watch a short movie about Mt Rainier, before heading back down the mountain, concluding with drop-off at your hotel.

This was a highlight of our trip to Seattle
The driver was very knew his information and it was a great day
The driver even took us up the Mountain providing snow shoes!
The trip and guide were excellent. My caveat is; I had spring flowers on my mind, and when I called to make my reservation, the Customer Service Rep's first words were something like: Oh, you'll love the wildflowers. Not being from the area I didn't know it was much too early. I was looking for wildflowers, got snow shoeing and sledding. Suggest you ensure that guests know what to expect on their scheduled tour.
Great trip, pick up and drop off from hotel was on-time. Easy, we didn't have to drive or get a cab, they picked us up.
Joe, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful and scenic, unfortunately it snowed, so we could only get so far up. Really fun, even our teen enjoyed it. Time went by fast, thank you!
I have been on tours around the world and Joe was by far the most thoughtful guide I have used. Very knowledgeable!
Joe (expedition guide) was the best guide I have ever had. He kept all of us dry and even purchased a cake for newlyweds who attended our tour. I can't express how great this experience with Joe on the helm.
Our tour guide John was exceptional. A wealth of knowledge and information throughout the day trip. We had perfect weather, sunny and 70. Sunglasses, waterproof boots and sunscreen a must. Snowshoeing and sledding were a blast.
Joe is a great guide with funny sense of humour. With the tour, we discovered impressive winter trails, great scenery such as waterfalls, but also hiked in hidden spots. The bus is really well equipped, and we got provided with winter jackets, proper boots and gears that includes snowshoes
We had a great time on our day trip! We went in October and lucked out with a beautiful day! Our driver Joe was great very informative and knew all the spots to stop at. It was nice that they stopped on the way at a grocery store were we could pickup some food for the day. Bus was very comfortable and it was a nice ride. It is a LONG day tho so be prepared we were picked up at 7am and got dropped off around 730pm! If you have the time would highly recommend taking the time to go and see this beautiful mountain.
The Day Trip to Mt. Rainier was really great. The weather was pretty cloudy so we weren't able to see the mountain but our tour guide, Joe, definitely made it worth the trip. The waterfalls were awesome!!
This was an absolutely wonderful day. Mount Rainier park is beautiful, and there are so many amazing things to see, with outstanding photo opportunities. It is truly a stupendous place, so calm and relaxing from the big city. Hiking in the park is awesome! Our guide, Joe, was excellent. He clearly knew the park like the back of his hand, and was very attentive and humorous, keeping us laughing all day. The only suggestion I would have is for less time at the grocery store (25 minutes going up, another 25 going down) - i would much rather have had an extra 50 minutes to hike in the park!
Our trip to Mt. Rainier was perfect! The tour guide and views were amazing! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone that loves the outdoors!
Joe, our tour guide made this beautiful trip. Joe was funny, knowledgeable. He truly cares for the health and welfare of the park itself, park rangers, and visitors.
Great Trip. Great Day. Early October visit, but the facilities in the Park were already closed for the season.
Small group tour with knowledgeable tour guild. Nice stops along the way, with plenty of bathroom breaks. Frequent scenic overlooks with short hikes available.
We had a great time on this tour. Was very happy with all the different stops. We enjoyed getting out of the bus and walking on the trails and taking photos of the beautiful water falls and fall colors...and having some free time to enjoy our picnic lunch by ourselves. Lots of "extras" on this tour.... highly recommend it!
This excursion was a great. Our tour guide, Joe was the best .He gave a lot of commentary on each stop to ensure a memorable experience.
We had a really fun time and Joe was great. We enjoyed the sites, the ride, and the tour guide. Jo was very helpful and very entertaining. He made sure he dropped us off at a place along the way back where we could have restaurants and we would be safe.
Our tour guide Joe did a great job of giving us information about the area and the mountain. We were able to take a number of short hikes and see Pika and Marmot.
Amazing scenery. Fantastic driver/tour guide. Takes all day but worth it. There are plenty of rest-stops and photo opportunity stops. You have time to hike a bit and just relax and enjoy the views. Your lunch is your responsibility......you stop at a grocery store, so you can grab anything there.
Although the weather was not the best and prohibited many looks at the Mountain itself, the Guide, (Joe Pritchard) made the trip both informative and a pure joy. I can't say enough about how well he was prepared to entertain us for the duration of the tour. If and when we return, a must will be to request his services and this tour company. Again, a heartfelt thanks for creating a great memory from the state of Washington.
