Journey through the beautiful Arizona landscapes on this small-group trip from the Phoenix-Scottsdale area! Visit the Grand Canyon and explore Route 66 on an exciting full-day tour.
After departing the Phoenix metro area, your tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As you continue further into Northern Arizona, travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.
Williams will be your first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion. While you are enjoying Route 66, your guide will pick up your box lunch made fresh that morning. (Jan. 1, 2019 lunch is not included. Box Lunch will be an option.)
Once at the Grand Canyon South Rim, board a state-of-the-art helicopter for a 45-minute flight over the Grand Canyon. You’ll fly towards the eastern end of the canyon, following the Colorado River, over the picturesque Kaibab National Forest and through the Dragon Corridor, the widest and deepest part of the Grand Canyon.
You will be picked back up by your guide and continue on to explore the Grand Canyon National Park. You can take in the natural beauty of the site by walking along the rim trail at one of the lookout points. Also, at the canyon you'll have time to shop and capture incredible pictures of the canyon.

Tour was great, but the helicopter ride was out of this world. Our tour guide, Les, was the best there is.
The BEST way to see the beautiful Grand Canyon! Fred was a great pilot and was perfect how he advised us to look right and then turn our heads as we entered into the Canyon!
Montana was a fantastic ground tour guide with lots of knowledge and insight to share. Unfortunately we were unable to do the helicopter portion due to poor visibility and weather conditions. Highly recommended tour!!
This was breathtaking and was worth every penny! Highly recommend this tour!
The guide was very friendly and informative, the Helicopter tour was brilliant, and it was awesome to see the Grand Canyon from above in it's varsity. We did only get a very limited time in the park it's self.
If you are in the PHX area, this is the trip to do. They pick you up at your hotel, drive you up whilst stopping for some photo ops and lunch. The driver (I think it was Mike or Mitch sorry =( he was very knowledgeable and fun. Then they drop you off at airport for your AMAZING flight, they are waiting for you when your return to take you to a few more scenic spots before escorting you back to your abode on a very comfortable tour bus! I took my father on this trip and he loved it, it was a once and a life time event!
Loved this trip! I was scared of the helicopter but once I was in and flying I was fine. The pilot was so calming and showed us the Grand Canyon in perfect style. Our van driver Jason did a good job making sure we were comfortable and seeing what we wanted to see. It was a great day!
Well worth the money amazing experience very smooth ride felt absolutely safe with lovely music playing in background
The view from above is breathtaking no better way to see this amazing wonder of our world. Highly recommend it!,
Kenny and Alison
This tour was great. Picked our family up north of Phoenix so I didn’t have to drive. Robert our bus driver friendly and knowledgeable. BJ our pilot was very skilled at flying and has a good sense of humor. He made us all feel comfortable and we saw the Grand Canyon Like I never dreamed of! Thanks
Ronnie Lee was a terrific guide and a safe driver during the over 400 mile extravaganza. Wonderful day and special with the snow at the rim of the Grand Canyon. I wish we had packed warmer clothes!
A long day but well worth it, taking in Sedona en route. The helicopter ride over the canyon was worth every penny. Dan Blake our guide was very good with his knowledge of geology helping to make it an informative and enjoyable trip
Great trip our driver was very knowledgeable about the sights and surroundings. Highlight was the helicopter ride over the canyon which is a must. Would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see the sights and leave the driving to someone else.
My husband and I were in the area for a weekend only and decided to celebrate our upcoming 25th anniversary with this trip. I'm so glad we did! The trip exceeded all expectations. It was a long day, but no dull moments and our tour guide Chantelle was top notch!!
It was the best way to experience the Grand Canyon. A very informative tour guide, on time movement to and from Phoenix. Saw some of the best views including the Colorado River both aerially and on site.
I start with that Cam was the best tour guide I could ask for. He was so knowledgable about every aspect of our trip. I expected a slow, boring drive up from Phoenix but I learned so much on the way up and back well, it remains to be seen how much of that info I've retained. There were 40 seconds of the trip that made the price worth it: spoiler alert for the helicopter trip . After that, the stops with views of the canyon were incredible, including where the Griswalds visited on their Vacation Great, let's go. Cam stopped at the best spots, not necessarily the most popular, and he was right.
Great experience. Worth every penny.
Great driver in van. Kept us informed as to where we were and history of
Arizona, Phoenix and the Grand Canyon.
A have to do on your list.
What an amazing day we had on this tour! Brendon was our pleasant, awesome, helpful, and accommodating guide for the day. He took care of everyone and made sure we had a great time. We took the helicopter tour and it was worth every penny! It was absolutely one of the coolest experiences I've ever had and I'm 63 years old. I am SO glad we did this and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Spectacular, surreal, and fabulous. That is how I would describe our day. Seeing the Grand Canyon by helicopter was absolutely breathtaking and amazing. Our pilot was excellent and informative. Our guide Cam was superb. He's the perfect blend of positivity and incredible knowledge. He's awesome!
