This was probably one of the best tours that I have ever been on. Our tour guide, Ansen, was so great. He knew so much about the bayou and Louisiana culture, you could tell how proud he was to be Cajun and have grown up on the bayou his whole life. He had the most utter respect for its wildlife and treated the alligators that we saw with such kindness and care. He was really animated and funny and all-around personable. One aspect of this tour that I thought was really great was that during the bus ride from the French Quarter to the bayou, the company has the bus driver play a CD for about 30 minutes that is narrated and gives historical background on Louisiana, so I felt like from the start of the trip to the end I was continuously learning and there was no wasted time. I HIGHLY recommend this company, it is well worth your time (and it definitely is true to the 3-4 hour time frame, I was happy that it didn't exceed the 4 hours so that my boyfriend and I could continue sightseeing in NOLA the rest of the day).
Informative with a great guide who not only provided detailed information on the bayou but an alligator!!
I booked this tour based on previous reviews and it did not disappoint. The tour guide provided basic as well as the kind of information that only someone who lives in the area or who did his research to e knowledgeable. The boat was spacious with adequate seating. The tour was just long enough to be enjoyable.
I questioned my wife about this tour when she booked it because we were traveling with our 9 and 16 year old grandsons. From start to finish it was excellent. The swamp tour was one of the best tours we ever been on.
This tour is great! It picks you up and drops you off at a central location in NOLA. The tour guide was friendly and personable. He made sure we saw many alligators. He even gave us the opportunity to hold a baby alligator! The boat was covered so the harsh sun did not overwhelm us and we felt safe the entire time. We had a great time. I definitely recommend this tour!
Everything was great! The only thing that seemed a bit weird was that they feed marshmallows to the alligators !?
Very nice tour. Nice guide. We were so close to alligators, big and small ones. It was great!. I took great pictures.
Great format, terrific coach driver and a Bayou guide Anson who was fun, informative, but safety conscious too. Just long enough to experience the flavor of the region and share the fun.
I wish I could say that we had a wonderful time, but my husband got very sick on the bus and we had to be let out. We felt very badly about missing the tour and worse if we delayed it for the other guests. Hope someday to come back and try again. :
This tour was especially fun as I love bayous and swamps. Viewed a lot of alligators, turtles and birds. The guide was very knowledgeable as well as personable. It was a fabulous day. Highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the bayous.
Thoroughly recommend this reminded me of the Missisippi burning film with the weeping willows and atmospheric swamps filled with Alligators, guide was entertaining and knowledgable.Dont leave New Orleans without experiencing it!
This is an excellent and very well put tour. The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. If you are visiting New Orleans for a few days this is definitely something worth the price of admission. Make sure to take your camera as you will be able to capture many great photos.
It was a beautiful day out on the water -we saw lots of birds, turtles and alligators! Our guide was very informative.
Anazing day out. The boat trip through the swamp was fabulous, the captain was very informative and his quick wit was very entertaining. We fed the aligators with marshmallows, took loads of photos and videos. If we had the time during our stay we would have taken this tour again. Absolutely brillia
This was my third visit to New Orleans but first time on this tour. Wonderful relaxing tour. Got some great shots of alligator and white egret.
I loved this tour! It's definitely worth it, and you even get to hold a baby alligator! So cool.
A totally fun tour of the swamps! The guide was a local Cajun man with fun stories and super knowledgeable of the region. He knows how to call the alligators over and make it fun for all ages. The boat is covered as it can rain, and relatively quiet.
Enjoyable experience out on the bayous literally feeding the alligators, lots of them. Vastly experienced and knowledgeable boat captain and tour guide explains everything. Funny guy. Nice day out.
