Pass By: Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Oregon
The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area protects the spectacular canyon where the Columbia River cuts through the Cascade mountains - with cliffs and overlooks of Washington to the north and Oregon's mountains and waterfalls to the south. The Gorge is unique in its natural and cultural history, as well as its designation as a National Scenic Area. As we drive to Multnomah Falls and Hood River we will be driving through the Columbia River Gorge.
Stop At: Multnomah Falls, 53000 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Bridal Veil, OR 97010
A waterfall as magnificent and memorable as any in the country is located just a 30- minute drive outside of Portland. Visiting Multnomah Falls, a 611-foot-tall roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy water, lets you experience the power and beauty of nature up close and with ease. We will stop here and you will have time to walk to Benson Bridge and explore the historic Multnomah Falls Lodge.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Rowena Crest Viewpoint, Old Columbia River Scenic Highway Mayer State Park, Mosier, OR 97040
Overlooking a major chokepoint along the Ice Age Floods path, Rowena Crest lies at nearly 700 feet above the Columbia River at the upstream end of Rowena Plateau, a miles-long promontory that protrudes into the path of the river. This forces the river around the plateau through a relatively narrow section of the Gorge known as the Rowena Gap. We will stop here and enjoy the view while taking amazing photographs!
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Trillium Lake, National Forest Development Road 2612, Government Camp, OR 97028
Trillium Lake is a beautiful and popular spot not far from the quaint town of Government Camp. It provides spectacular views of majestic Mt. Hood, Oregon's highest point. This location is well-known for its scenery and abundant recreational opportunities. We will stop here in the summertime and you will have the opportunity to take photographs of Mt Hood reflected in the mirror-like lake.
Duration: 20 minutes
Pass By: Mount Hood area Highway 26 & Highway 35., Hood River, OR 97031
Mt. Hood’s perpetually snowy peak — crowned by eleven glaciers, one for every thousand feet it rises above sea level — can be seen from miles and miles away. It’s home to a total of six ski areas, making it a great base camp for skiers. Beautiful alpine lakes with names like Lost, Trillium and Mirror dot Mt. Hood’s flanks, each offering its own unique view of the mountain.
Stop At: Timberline Road, Timberline Lodge, OR 97028
Constructed in 1937, Timberline Lodge stands on the south slope of Mt. Hood at an elevation of 6,000 feet. This beautiful 55,000 square foot structure rises out of a pristine alpine landscape and is still being used for its original intent – a magnificent ski lodge and mountain retreat for everyone to enjoy. Legendary and awe-inspiring, it's a tribute to the rugged spirit of the Pacific Northwest and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977.

Carrie was a wonderful guide, she provided great information and history at each stop and regarding Oregon in general. The trip had beautiful views and all of the stops were great.
Great trip and guide was very good. Just need to remember to bring a jacket as cold on top of mountain.
This was a very comfortable and informative tour. Reasonably priced with flexibility to stay a little longer at some spots. I highly recommend this excursion for a full day of seeing some of the essential sights. Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and obviously enjoyed his work.
Evan was a fantastic guide filled with knowledge and passion for the Portland area. Our little group was fortunate enough to have great weather the day we travelled and were able to see fairly clearly five mountains through the day. The journey to Mt Hood was gorgeous and the opportunity to see so many waterfalls at once, truly fantastic.
Thanks for an unforgettable day Evan!
Our guide was so friendly and clearly enjoys what he is doing for a living. He went above and beyond and we saw some amazing sights. Thank you!
Guide was very personable. Fun. Informative, an encyclopedia of knowledge. Learned lots. You can to he really likes his job, and showing the area to you. Highly recommend
John was a GREAT guide! The stops he made were all very worthwhile. Amazing, awesome scenery! Time at the stops was limited, but allowed us to see more.
I was slightly worried that I was going to be participating on my own but Evan made it so east and comfortable. I had such an amazing day and the group we nice and personal. Well worth the money!
We would highly recommend the Mt. Hood/Multnomah Falls tour! Our tour guide (Eddie) was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, funny, knowledgable and very flexible. He crafted our tour to the interests of the folks in the van and made it a great day for everyone. The attractions were all spectacular and made even better by the extra color and stories Eddie provided. We actually had an engine issue (totally random event) with the van at the end of the tour and even that couldn't spoil the day. Both Eddie and the company handled the challenging situation with grace and care for our needs. Highly recommended trip for anyone who wants to spend a fantastic day exploring the Columbia River Gorge area!!! A+++
The Hood Mount is awesome beautiful. Very relax trip but saw a lot of great scene. The guide Scot is very friendly and knowledge. Enjoy a lot~
Dillon was awesome - knowledgeable and funny. It was great having him as a guide and giving us a true experience of everything we could see.
This tour was worth the money. My wife and I had a great time and our tour guide Tom was very knowledgeable. We loved the scenic tour and getting to see the Waterfalls. Many places to eat during the lunch break in Hood River. When you got to the Timberline lodge, make sure to ask the front desk to hold the Here's Johnny Ax. This was a great way to see how Beautiful Oregon is. Plus where else can you see Snow, Sun, and Waterfalls all in one day? Enjoy
We enjoyed our day trip to the falls and Mt. Hood. Eddie is so knowledgeable, personable and fun!!!!
Our tour and guide was a wonderful experience. Weather didn't cooperate but our guide was able to make this a very meaningful day. Highly recommended
Eddie was very personable and informative, and he tailored the tour to the group. We had so many stops that broke up the drive while offering the opportunity to experience many sites of Oregon along the way. I could have easily spent more time in the town of Hood River too!
Very scenic and picturesque tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and knew the best places to eat Joes donuts and picture stops. There was only 7 people on the tour so it felt more personal.
Jeri was a wonderful guide! She was very knowledgeable and presented the history in a fun way. We got to see so many beautiful places! I highly recommend this tour!
