Our guided tour of the Grand Teton and yellow stone was AMAZING! Our guide was super knowledgeable
And informative she spoke on geology, geography, history, animals and park policy.
My tour started at 610am and my cousin and I were wisked off in a luxury van with individual seating and there was only 5 people total on this tour. Within the 5 miles we stopped 2 times
1-) to see 2 coyotes hunting for breakfast -- the 2 tour directors were able to put up a view scope so we were able to see the coyote -- take his/her picture and keep on driving towards the Teton National Park
2-) we didn't get far down the road before we stopped again -- this time it was a Bald Eagle feasting on breakfast in a pasture -- looked like a dead animal of some type-- not sure what exactly but our guides
set up their view scope and i got some amazing pictures of that eagle having breakfast on the ground.
Not long after we were on our way to Teton National Park -- the guides filled us in on the geography
and history and what is going on with Teton National Park -- stopped to take pictures of the mountains.
As usual we stopped several times to get pictures of various types of wildlife
elk --elk -- bison -- more elk and even got pictures of baby Bison -- they are red.
Eventually we hit a traffic jam and well that turned out to be Grizzly Bears looking for food. The mother and 2 cubs. We had to walk 200 yards to get a good look at them from the roadside. The guides view scope made everything look close up. He was able to get a few pictures of the bears on my iphone.
Eventually after an houir or 2 we got to the Yellowstone National Park Entry location and had to wait about 20-25 minutes to gain entry. Just to advise --Every National Park has a Entry Fee but the tour company gets a discount rate for entry to Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park---advisory--if you are 62 years or older --I recommend that you purchase a lifetime pass --it is valid for 3 more people in your party. Eventually we made our way through out Yellowstone and saw most of it.
We did stop to see all the geo-thermic activity and eventually had lunch at the old faithful inn--had lunch-- then saw old faithful erupt and video taped it on my iphone. We saw all the wild life there is to see except for big horn sheep. ---suggestion-- do this tour on Monday thru Friday -- not a holiday or weekend. it does liast 12-14 hours depending on traffic and weather. The traffic is --bad-- only when humans see animals of great interest ---namely bears--bison--elk. The 2 tour directors we had were incredibly gifted individuals who are very passionate about what they do and love what they do.
The Guide (Blair) was new to the area but extremely knowledgeable, has the personality to make the trip the best she can, great at interacting with guests, considerate of guest needs(bathroom breaks), prepared with binoculars and spotting scope, great animal spotter. The Trip is All Day but very beautiful and relaxing. The local Company is Brushbuck and trains their employees extremely well.
Wonderful guide named Haeli, who was knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. We were fortunate to see lots of wildlife close up. Fun treat to picnic in a park. Would highly recommend
We scheduled this tour because we had always wanted to explore Yellowstone. Our tour guide was Neil. The experience was fantastic! Neil was so knowledgeable and passionate about the park. We were able to see everything that we were interested in. We saw every animal in the park except a bear. That was perfectly okay with me. It was an anniversary trip for us and it will be one we will not forget. Thanks Neil!!!
We had a great day in Yellowstone. We were lucky enough to see a Grizzly Bear, Several Bison, Several Elk, a few Mule deer, a coyote, Two sets of a mother Moose with their babies. Old Faithful impressed us a few minutes later than scheduled, but well worth the wait. In addition, we saw hot springs, Geysers, Paint pots and Mud pots. It is just an amazing place and our guide, Haley, was amazing. She is very nice and she is like a human encyclopedia focused on Yellowstone. I highly recommend this day trip to Yellowstone.
Our guide Steve was so knowledgeable and kept the whole trip enjoyable He went out of his way to make sure that we saw elk, moose, prong horned antelope, mule deer and even a black beer. This trip was well worth the price. I would highly recommend it. And ask for steve as a guide he is just wonderful
Wonderful day with an expert guide. Devon is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the park. Within an hour of hitting the road we saw a Bull moose, up close and personal. Then it was a Bison grazing near a lake. Beautiful easy hike through a maze of hot springs and thermal pools then a break for a great lunch. Onto a spectacular view of the falls and mountains. We happened upon a mud covered Elk who must have been "wallowing" and took some amazing pictures. We could not have had better company (sharing stories with 2 other couples on our tour) or a better guide (thank you Devon)! Old Faithful was amazing and timing was perfect. Ken and Mary
Great 12 hr adventure. We were fortunate enough to experience seeing up close large herd of Bison, elks. Also saw a moose, numerous area native birds, including a Bald Eagle. Had a gorgeous warm day, ate a wonderful lunch along a stream in Yellowstone. Our guide, McKeena, was terrific.
This was an amazing experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable, patient, and flexible. We covered so much in the day - we could never have seen this much on our own. Having a small group and comfortable van was great!
Had a great time touring Yellowstone. Daniel was our guide, and was very knowledgeable about the area.
My wife and I had an excellent day with our guide Haeli. Would highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to see the amasing sites of Yellowstone
This was a fantastic tour and I very highly recommend this tour! Daniel was our guide he's an amazing guide with his wealth of knowledge of animals, geology, geography and history of the two parks. From our pick- up at our Inn at 6:15 to the drop off 13 hours later, we were experiencing incredible sights, sounds and memories. We joked that Daniel had super vision as he was able to spot birds and animals from afar - he didn't miss anything. We saw Eagles, osprey, bison, moose, a bear, elk and pronghorn deer. Can't recommend this enough and I hope Daniel is your guide!
Fantastic tour ! Scenery is awesome and and so was Clint, our guide. His expertise as a guide and knowledge of the Park is outstanding. He answered all our questions and you could tell he loves his job! We had 2 traffic jams caused by bison walking down the road, so we got terrific pictures. Highly recommend this tour and Clint as a guide!
Scott was a great tour guide and our fellow travelers were friendly making this tour a wonderful experience.
We saw elk, buffalo, mountain views, water falls, hydrothermal activity hot springs, geysers, mud pots, and fumaroles,Scott was a good historian and had many stories of interest. He had excellent timing for us seeing Old Faithful erupt and found the best vantage points for seeing all the Parks have to offer. September is a great time to do this tour with less tourists and cooler temperatures.scott said it was his best tour day since he started in May..
Knowledgeable driver and comfortable bus. Plenty of time to walk around. Good value for a 12 hour tour.
Our tour guide Megan was great. We were pretty lucky on animal sightings. We saw two grizzlies, elk, bison and swans. We also saw waterfalls and geothermal fields as well as Old Faithful. Yellowstone is huge and we were able to see the main sites with plenty of opportunity for additional exploration on our own. A very good guided tour overall.
Our guide Clint led us on an incredible journey through Yellowstone. Our first stop was in the Grand Tetons to watch the sunrise and we saw some wildlife on the way. We were each provided binoculars to better see our surroundings and they really enhanced the experience. We were treated to yummy muffins in the morning and there was plenty of water and other beverages available throughout the day. Along the way Clint provided a lot of facts and tidbits about the park and its history which helped bring context to the tour.
It wasn't a problem if you hadn't purchased a park pass, and easy for those that had to use them. We lucked out and barely waited at the park entrance. Since the tour was small, just 9 of us, we were able to change plans on the fly - when our group wanted to see something we stopped and could linger or when we weren't interested, we moved along. There were plenty of bathroom breaks. Clint timed our tour to hit Old Faithful when it was estimated to erupt and advised us to get a seat early. I'm glad he did, Old Faithful erupted earlier than the estimate, and by heeding Clint's advice, we were able to watch it. We had a nice picnic lunch along one of the many rivers that included drinks, sandwiches, chips and fruit. There was lots to see in the park and Clint did a great job packing in as many sights as he could. A
Chelsea was an exceptional tour guide. From meeting her at 6:00 a.m. to the close of the tour day, we were extremely impressed with her for every minute of our unforgettable experience. Firstly, Chelsea is an inspiration to be around, and shes someone you would choose to hang out with for 12 hours. Shes highly knowledgable and had such tremendous insight into all the wildlife and physical features we saw. Her background education, I dont remember her specific degree course, carved the framework for Chelsea being a fountain of the coolest information. Shes so passionate to share what she knows, and when any of our group had a question or needed clarification, not only did she respectfully answer, her responses had us hanging on the edge of our seats. From finding us a bald eagle a few minutes after the last people joined the tour, to the final stretch of our journey back to our homes, Chelsea had us each captivated. The tour progressed at a good pace, and we appreciated that Chelsea did not try and stay to a strict schedule if there was an intriguing animal to observe or another thermal feature to gawk at. My husband and I will not forget our 12-hour Yellowstone National Park and Wildlife Tour, and the fact that all ten of us on the bus, three groupings plus Chelsea absolutely loved each others company, made the day even more fantastic.
