You'll feel like you’re flying through the grass on this small group airboat ride of the Everglades. If you're on a budget and looking for something "not so touristy" to do, then this is the best way to explore the "River of Grass" without causing severe damage to the eco-system. The Florida Everglades is undisturbed nature that dates back 15,000+ years. The Everglades vastly preserved eco-systemis over a million acres that is made up of grasslands and hardwood hammocks.
This smooth sliding ride will be the highlight of your trip as your guide points out all the highlights of the sawgrass prairies. You will see beautiful flowers, trees and animal life found no where else in the world. Just outside of Miami lies an uncultivated home of the cold sharp toothed Florida Alligator, which welcomes everyone to their home. We may even run into an invasive specie like the Ball Python that is polluting our environment. So step out of the sand and concrete of Miami and let’s ride and slide in the River of Grass together.

Our guide was knowledgeable,. He knew where the alligators were. Two birds Mary and Jack came and flew onto boat as they do everyday and we were able to hand feed them. It was just the 2 of us, so it was private....highlight of my 11 day trip.
Exciting experience, knowledgeable guide, my wife and I had a wonderful morning in this tour. Thanks to Steve.
The tour was great, really fun and informative. We saw 4 gators and 2 baby gators. Have transportation scheduled to pick you up due to signal being very bad in that area, I got there in an Uber but it was difficult getting one out. There is nothing around it so take beverages and food if you need any, also sunblock and hats.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Everyone involved with Everglade Nature Tours was so helpful - including helping us to pre-arrange transport back into Miami in advance and looking after us before and after the tour. On the tour itself Captain Albert was so enthusiastic about the wildlife and ensured we saw plenty of alligators! We wanted to experience the Everglades without any animal shows, it isn't our thing. This tour was just what we wanted, but surpassed our expectations. I would thoroughly recommend it.
captain Bob was amazing knew everything about the Everglades and showed us an amazing time.
Had a great time on this Everglades adventure! My wife and I were the on,y 2 on the boat, so it was like a private tour! Our tour guide Albert, was very knowledgeable and made it a very enjoyable trip. I would highly recommend doing this airboat tour!
eine super Tour, fernab vom Massentourismus. Auch wenn wir keinen Aligator sahen, war die Tour ihr Geld wert.
Didn't know what to expect but everything went well. We had a change of venue and received very clear instructions. Greeted by a friendly host and met our captain. He was informative and friendly. Overall, had a really fun time. Would highly recommend.
I booked the 1 1/2 hour tour. I ended up the only person for my scheduled trip. Instead of canceling due to small numbers, ESE provided me with the promised tour. I really appreciated this. I have been knocked out of tours in the past due to not enough people signed up. This is very frustrating. So, my appreciation for ESE is very high. My captain was Albert who was knowledgeable and accommodating to my desire of specific knowledge. I am a teacher of Science and Albert was able to give me the knowledge needed to take back to my science classes. I feel I come away with a fuller understanding of the issues facing the everglades, as well as a personal connection to preserve this rich ecosystem. Well worth the investment, and I highly recommend this trip to any and all.
Fantastic experience to ride an airboat. Beautiful surroundings and our guide and captain told us much interesting information about the Everglades and her inhabitants. Highly recommended!
Florida weather really spoilt this outing. Being in a metal frame boat in a lightening storm is not a great idea, so we returned to base at speed for safety when it started, best plan in the circumstances.
As for the whole experience, first, in the instructions it says meet at mile post 30. Having driven past many huge signs with small cafes, toilet facilities, 30 seat boats and real Florida Everglade 'bushes in the swamp' locations, we arrived at a dusty pull off with no facilities, mainly at that time, no toilet. This could have been made clear!!!!!! As were were about to drive off again, a car pulled up and we were greeted by a lovely lady who said she was the tour and ticked us off on her sheet and advised us we were waiting for one other couple, then we would go to the boat. No worries, we were early. They arrived and we proceeded up the track to a public launch site. Here we met Dave the exciting captain and his great little boat with a huge aircraft propeller, just behind us. It was rainy but it stopped and we got in and set off at a canny pace. We saw some birds and Dave told us all about the everglades.
We were essentially in a huge expanse of sward grass with one or two bushy islands looming around us.
We stopped to inspect the grass and to see a couple of birds, then off again on our high speed ride.
All of a sudden, Dave spotted a small alligator in the reeds and we turned round to meet our first Florida alligator.
It stayed very still and we looked at it, from a sensible distance and it she, apparently looked at us.
We were about to set of to find more of her friends when there was a thunder clap and down came the rain, and the lightening started again. At that point the sensible decision to head back to the cars was taken, so off we went at high speed with the spray peppering us, very exciting not to mention soaking.
So, that was our one and only alligator for this trip, so we were disappointed, and that was the only opportunity to see alligators on our packed schedule, so, never mind.
Dave did know his stuff and I am sure the small boat and personal guide experience was better than the large boat, less personal approach.
It would have been good to have been told about the no facilities before we got there so we could have made provision, also that other than the mile post, there was nothing there, as we could well have driven off.
Afterwards we stopped off at a large sign establishment for a coffee and to 'refresh'.
They were not sending their boats out either so that was the end of that.
Later that day we received notice that we would be refunded half our money, which we were and that was much appreciated, thanks.
All in all, if the sun had shone and we had seen alligators I think this would have been superb, but due to the weather it was a disappointment, I don't think I can be fairer than that.
Great company. Give back to Wounded Warriors Project and many other veterans' organizations. Our guide was Capt. Dave who was both extremely informative and entertaining. Strongly suggest the 1.5 hour trip as there is a lot to see and learn.
Wonderful company. All of the boats are named after patriotic themes. They do a lot for Wounded Warriors. Our guide was Captain Dave who was both very informative and entertaining. He was very knowledgeable of the area, its history as well the local plant and animal life. We're glad we took the 1.5 hour tour as we really got to enjoy many aspects of the Everglades.
Our guide was Chad - he was very nice during the entire tour. He is very knowledgeable about the Everglades and the wild life there.
We booked 2 spots on the airboat (out of the 6), and ended up having the airboat just to ourselves.
The airboat experience was great and highly recommended.
The outing was wonderful. The meeting point and entire tour was easy, fun and a educational - atypical of all the other tour companies - which was great. Our guide was Chad. He was engaged, knowledgeable and made the 90 minute trek a delight. I would highly recommend this tour company.
Wow! What an experience! It was just our family of four and a guide on the coolest airboat ever, cruisin' and slidin' through the Everglades! We got to see all the beauty without another soul in sight. We also got to spend a long time hanging out with a gator named New Guy! Our guide was the best and the family that runs this company is first class all the way! They even told us about an off-the-beaten path place where we saw 12 more gators, including one that was walking across the road! Thanks for a truly memorable experience, Ozzy and crew!
