The river walk cruise tour was very enjoyable. Really got to see a lot. The hop-on, hop-off worked pretty well and was informative, though we found it nicer to walk to some of the areas rather than wait for the bus. However, Viator needs to be better at explaining where you have to go to redeem the voucher. Our printout wasn't initially accepted at the cruise boarding area. We were directed to another place to redeem the voucher for actual boarding passes. We weren't the only ones confused, too. That's really the only negative. We would recommend the tour.
I really enjoy the San Antonio River walk Cruise and Hop-on-off Tour. It was a great value. The only thing that could have improved it would have been longer hours for the tour buses. The last buss leaves at 5:30 p.m.
We had a great time in San Antonio. The Hop on Hop off Tour was great. We did not need a car to get anywhere that we wanted to go. The bus stopped right in front of our hotel, so it was very convenient. The River Cruise was a blast, and the Tower was awesome. We also took advantage some of the discount adds in the brochure for food and entertainment.
The tour was great. The guide was knowledgeable and you could almost touch the low bridges with your fingers. It was fun watching activity from the shops and restaurants as you cruised down the river. The tour lasted 35 minutes and had many twists and turns as you saw both man made river and natural river
Using the 3-day Hop-On Hop-Off Tour we were able to have an overview of the important sights to see in San Antonio. Then we used the bus to take us to the Alamo, the Pearl Brewery, the Tower of the Americas, and Guenther House to name a few places. It was so convenient and informative. The bus drivers/guides were most informative and most were very entertaining. Our package also included tickets for the River Walk Cruise and admission to the 754 ft high Tower of the Americas Space Needle. The tour package was certainly the best thing we could have done as first time visitors to San Antonio!
Great combo. All 3 components esp. the river cruise was great.
I highly recommend the combo.
A great way to see San Antonio .The drivers were very friendly and this tour had everything from the tour of the city and points of interest. And the river walk boat ride and also the tower of the Americans. We also from the bus drivers comments we found some of the best restaurants and Bars and got off at just about every stop to explore
We had fun and would recommend this tour as a must do
Back in August we visited Texas 4 adults. Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. A few days each city. All the tours we booked were thru Viator Tours. We all were pleased with all the tours and the people who were part of the tours. The tour were all booked in advance on the internet. All the descriptions of the tours were spot on. Everything was as planned .We all would book thru Viator tours where ever we go to next.
Thank you to Viator, and the people who work there and the tour guides keep up the good service
Good Day self-guided tour. Recommended for people that want to see San Antonio on their own pace.
Hop On-Off bus is always a winner and great way to see the sights of San Antonio. Stayed at hotel near The Alamo and walked or took bus everywhere. River Walk is wonderful and the boat cruise was excellent. Enjoyed the Tower of America. but similar to other city towers. Alamo was excellent. Excellent restaurants on the river walk. Great long weekend getaway.
Night cruise was wonderful and a bit less hot. Be ready to wait in line, but it goes fast.
The Hop-On-Hop-Off bus was very convenient and the accompanying map made it easy to navigate the city. The tour recording was informative. However, I wish that the tour guides had interacted more with the passengers.
Hop on Hop off tours are all the same around the world but I found it convenient in that it stops at most hotels. The River Cruise option was excellent but the website infers two cruises, one in the loop and another on the river? Tower of the Americas was average and dated. Pre-purchased tickets were of no advantage as we still had to queue in the heat without shelter to get wrist bands which should have been available inside. Food availablilty in the tower is minimal.
Tip: walk across the street to the other boarding point near the plaza as there's a long waiting time at the prescribed pick-up area.
I brought my mother to San Antonio to escape the frigid weather in Ohio and enjoy a vacation--something she hasn't done in nearly 19 years! This tour was fantastic--we got to visit the Alamo, enjoyed the bus tour with a funny bus driver first below deck, then on the top when it got warm outside the Riverwalk boat cruise was absolutely lovely, and the Tower of the Americas presented a gorgeous view. We even had an evening snack at the Chart House and got to enjoy a beautiful night scene with a full moon as we revolved high above the city lights. The only thing I would change is to warn people ahead of time that some of the tour attractions are closed on Mondays museums, so we didn't get to do those. Other than that, we had a lovely time and I would do this tour again!
This package had everything that you wanted to see and more. The tour guides were great! I would definitely recommend this package!
