The community called Nelson was named for Charles Nelson, a camp leader who was slain in his home, along with four other people, in 1897 by the renegade Indian, Avote

Talked about this trip for days. First time on an ATV.... Easy to learn and not pressured into a fast pace....scenery around the mining camp and desert was spectacular... guides very knowledgeable and accommodating. Gold mine tour was very interesting and welcome as the June temps were reduced to 60 degrees inside the mine.
This waa mine and my husbands 15 year wedding Anniversary and I surprised him with a trip to Vegas. The trip was amazing. Our guide Sherman was awesome except he was a little slow at downloading our pics. He was very knowledgeable and nice. Definitely was worth the money. Would most definitely recommend.
Everything was great from the pick up to the end! Our guides were laid back and fun. The ride was so much fun. The little town is an antique lovers dream and the gold mine tour is the best I have ever been on.
You need to book this trip! Sherman was our tour guide and really made the trip. We had 8 people in our group and 7 out of the 8 of us never had been on a quad. They had a ball! The gold mine was icing on the cake, from the mine tour to talking with the owner, you really need to take this tour.
Great adventure, the guide, Sherman was fantastic, definitely a highlight of our Vegas trip. The sights were great and the mines history was terrfic
Fun and informative time on the atv's and walking thru the mines. Total enjoyment of time from pick-up to drop off ! Sherman was awesome in his knowledge of everything .. Hope to see ya on the next visit soon . David and Miss. Mona
This was my first time on the atv and let me say it was a little intimidating. I had to stay back from a steep hill or two but overall was amazing driving through the desert and going in the mine was interesting. Lunch was simple and perfect. All in all was a great time and I would recommend.
Our guide Sherman picked us up at our hotel early and whisked us out to our starting point. All of the employees and owners of the store were great and made our experience fantastic. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone! Take a quad, it is way more fun than the UTV!
Our trip was excellent. Jarrod was a great guide and we enjoyed his knowledge and concern for our enjoyment of the trip. I highly recommend the trip and Jarrod.
Tour was awesome! Enjoyed every moment. Ed, my tour guide, was very kind as I am not the most skilled ATV rider. He was also quite knowledgeable about the area and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Having had a long flight the day before, I appreciated that it was only a short ride from the Strip. Morning pick up was quite punctual. Worth the money.
This was a great day in the desert! After being picked up from our hotel, we drove approximately 30 minutes to get to our ATV’s near Techatticcup mine. Once there we had some time to look around at all the old stuff & peruse the gift shop. I had no idea 3000 Miles to Graceland was filmed there! We then rode our ATV’s a little over 2 hours on rough terrain. Our guide Chad was great at giving us breaks when riding and giving us a lot of history lessons! After lunch, we took the gold mine tour where again our guide Chad gave us a plethora of information! Highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes history, the old west, and who likes to go fast!
Loved this trip! Ed was super friendly and very knowledgeable of the area.
I would definitely ensure you have this trip on your to do list. You even get a lunch, what more can you ask for?
We had the best time on this tour. Chad and Wade were great guides and full of comedy. There was 6 of us and everyone agreed this was the best time ever. From the beginning to the end we had fun and experienced life out in the desert. Everyone that likes fun and adventure, this is IT!!! Mary!!!!!
It was Great. Our tour guide Chad picked us up from our hotel and took us to where the base was. We got on the ATV's shortly after, they were easy to ride full auto. We road for approx 2 hours on rough terrain which was fun. The walking tour of the mine was good to see very informative. Recommended!
Scenery was fantastic. Ed was very knowledgeable and was very patient with some of us in the group that have never ATV'd before.
