Steve was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. On top of that, he seemed to know all the other locals. I would highly recommend this tour
Charleston is a beautiful city and our walking tour did justice to the location. Our guide knew all the right places to visit and pointed out many wonderful things.
Evans was a fantastic tour guide. His relaxed attitude and wealth of knowledge of the city paired well as we strolled through the historic District. I especially loved the restaurant he recommended for lunch (Poogans porch) and making sure to point out great photo ops. Thanks!!
This was a great tour to take to introduce you to Charleston. We really enjoyed our guide, the sites and the all the information our guide provided. Highly recommend!
Amy was our tour guide and she did such a great job! She told us the very interesting history and stories about the people and events that have shaped Charleston and make it the wonderful city it is today. We loved seeing the beautiful homes and gardens. We also enjoyed her amusing stories about Charleston. Ive been living in South Carolina many years and have been to Charleston many times. I know so much more now and I would definitely take another tour with Amy.
Amy was our tour guide. WOW, she was spectacular. This tour was beyond my expectations. Just the right amount of history, local life and humor to keep you interested.
A comprehensive walking tour of the historic district. As a native of Charleston, Evans Byrd was extremely knowledgeable about cultural and historical aspects of the city, including many lesser known facts, like the story of Robert Smalls. This was an excellent tour.
Our tour was excellent! The tour guide, Evans, fed us interesting and detailed Charleston history and architecture information. The pace was easy, and there was time to take photos and ask a lot of questions. Evans also knew flowers and trees, especially camellias which were in stunning, showy bloom. Would definitely recommend.
Very nice experience. Evans was our tour guide. He was very informed about the city of Charleston and its history. Highly recommend this tour and ask for Evans as your tour guide if you plan to go. He is a native of Charleston and seemed to take pride in introducing the city and its history to the tour group.
Our tour guide was Evans Byrd and he was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgable and he walked and talked at a great pace. I feel like we had the opportunity to learn so much about Charleston and we got to see many sides of it. He did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend this tour! It is well worth the money.
Evans was a wonderful guide. The combination of knowledge about and enthusiasm for his subject combined to bring the city to life. He clearly catered the tour to the audience and extended it well beyond the expected two hours to the disappointment of no one. The tour was well-paced and informative.
Amy led our small group on a very informative walk thru the wonderful city of Charleston. I've been on several walking tours of Charleston in previous visits, but she added to each historical site along our path.
Evan was a great guide very knowledgable about area was able to answer all our questions would not hesitate to recommend him
Amy was very knowledgeable and 2 hours went by so fast. Nice way to see beautiful old homes and some stunning gardens. Recommend for anyone interested in getting an overview of historical section.
Could work to make his excellent stories a little shorter. Evans was an excellent guide.
We have lived outside Charleston for 8 years but had never taken a historical tour. This one was very informative and our guide had a real enthusiasm for her topic! We learned a lot about Charleston and its history. I would recommend this tour to visitors and anyone who wants to know more about a great Southern City!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. I could not stump her with questions. Enjoyed the walking tour!
Great tour of downtown Charleston with Amy. Her enthusiasm was contagious. A great way to learn about the buildings and homes from early Charleston and get a real sense of what it was like to live in Charleston in those early years. Beautiful gardens, doors, porches and balconies.
