It was a hard choice to decide which tour to book. We chose the VIP tour with dinner by far it was the best choice we had made. It was very well organised, and the hosts were very attentive and took care of us and our group very well.
Jordan our host for evening was excellent, remembered everything we ordered and explained the tour very well. The captain took us round and he was great in explained how the steam boat works and the history of it. By far this was one of the best excursions we booked, it was well worth the money that we paid. It was a nice touch at the end we received our photos, etched champagne glasses all in a gift bag to take home. This is the best way to experience the Natchez totally recommend it, with VIP you are brought to the table first, served dinner first and guided with your host throughout the whole evening.
What a great experience. The welcome onto the boat was seamless and easy. The jaz band was excellent. The food was excellent with a wide choice. The service was impecable and the tour of the engine appealed to the kid in me that loves engines. Highly recommended ecperience
I always wanted to take a steamboat ride down the Mississippi. The food was on point. The crew was great. My server always found me walking about the decks to keep me informed. That felt special. The sound of the band playing put a smile on my face. I love live instruments. The whole experience was great. I didn't get to enjoy the delicious food because I ate at the Saints game. I feel a need to visit again and do it all over.
We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the Jazz band was perfect and very animated. We were given a tour by the captain who absolutely loves his job and has been there 44 years. We would recommend the cruise for any Age group
Jen and her team were amazing. From getting on the boat early, the personal service during the entire cruise, the private table, the music, the tour with the captain...worth every penny.
Wonderful service, fun crew, loved the boat tour. Plan on doing again next time we go to New Orleans.
It was beautifully amazing from the beginning to end, Jordan our tour guide was fantastic... a must for everyone.
The crew and everyone on board were just wonderful and I would definitely do it again. Had the tour.
The VIP tour is totally worth the money. The tour of the engine room with the captain was a lot of fun. White glove treatment all the way!
As it it is my birthday , we have an special treatment, they even gives us give away from the ship Great food , good music and excellent service from the staff
My husband and I purchased the VIP Steamboat Natchez Jazz Cruise Dinner in a June. The entire experience was perfect. From the hostess, to the captain, to the food, and the amazing jazz music, this VIP experience is worth every penny. We ate at the early 6:15PM dinner, which allowed us to enjoy the evening listening to jazz music on the cruise back to the dock. You also receive a bag of items, including photos and other memorabilia from the experience. If this is a once in a lifetime experience, pay the extra money and enjoy the VIP treatment and service.
Went for the VIP experience and it was worth it. Captain Steve gave us a tour of the engine room and the history of the boat. Girls from the tour agency were great. Friendly helpful and their service was great. Food was very tasty and a lot of it. On the VIP experience you get your food first and avoid the long lines. Bananas Foster yumm. The goody bag to take home was the final touch. The souvenior picture, a cd of the dixieland bank cookbooks spices. Just gret....
We did many things during our first visit to New Orleans, but I have to say, this was the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend upgrading to the VIP package because you will be treated like royalty. I have to give a HUGE and very heartfelt shout out to Taylor, who went above and beyond for us, even when some elderly people in our group got a bit cranky. He was amazing and I wished I thanked him more than I did. We were seated on the ship first and given champagne while the others boarded the ship, then we had a tour of the ship by the extremely friendly Captain. After that, we were seated in the dining room, and had jumbo shrimp cocktail and were allowed to go up to the buffet first, before the crowds came in. Lastly, we had dessert outside on the deck while watching the beautiful lights of New Orleans pass by. Everything was just wonderful, and we were even given lovely souvenirs upon leaving the ship. This was a truly memorable experience we will never forget.
We really enjoyed this. The music and the food were very good. We are glad that we paid the extra for the VIP tickets, as we were able to board the boat early and we had a reserved table. We were treated like VIPs! The Captain gave us a private tour. It was a very special evening.
The VIP tour is really worth it. Private accompagnateur, treated us like royalty. Three table reserve for us, buffet service first. Really superb experience
We did the VIP experience and it was great. We had personalized attention from the time we boarded until we disembarked. It was well worth the extra cost. The ship is a one of a kind and the cruise was great. We will do it again when we are in New Orleans.
Adding the VIP portion to the cruise was worth it. It allowed early boarding and seating for dinner a shrimp cocktail with 6 large shrimp head of the line for the buffet and a personal waitress who kept track of our whereabouts and ensured we had everything we needed or wanted from the open bar. Go hungry!
A personal tour of the boat was provided, with access to several areas normally restricted for guests, and most importantly, it allowed us to disembark first with a nice bag of gifts. The Natchez is one of two remaining steam paddle wheel boats in the country. The boat was constructed in the 70's, but the steam engine and all the all the drive machinery is 92 years old, and kept in perfect working condition. It's something to see in New Orleans.
RECOMMEND this tour. AWESOME. Felt special and the private tour of the engine room was amazing. Would love to do this one again if we get the chance.
