Visit the beautiful Columbia River Gorge! Your adventure will take place along the Historic Columbia River National Scenic Byway, where some of the locations we may stop include: Portland Women’s Forum, Crown Point Vista House, Latourell Falls, Multnomah Falls, and Shepperd’s Dell.
You tour will start with the view from Portland Women's Forum. This location is absolutely breathtaking and it's one of the best spots to soak in a view of one of the most beautiful places on earth: the magnificent, awesome Columbia River Gorge.
Next, we will stop at Crown Visit Point House with a complete overlook of the Gorge region. Crown Point Vista House, best known of the scenic lookouts along the Historic Columbia River Highway, provides a panoramic view of the Columbia River. The Crown Point Vista House was built in 1916 and refurbished and completely remodeled in 2005.
Our next stop is Latourell Falls. This waterfall plunges 249' over a massive wall of columnar basalt, some of the best formations in the Pacific Northwest, before cascading hastily toward the Columbia River. This waterfall is usually most recognized for the large patch of bright yellow lichen adorning the cliff face to the right of the falls, and this characteristic has led many famous photographers to this captivating location.
Other waterfalls we may stop at while driving on the Historic Columbia River Highway include:
Sheppherd's Dell- In 1915, a local dairy farmer named George Shepperd gave all that he had (this tract of land) to the City of Portland as a memorial to his wife. The upper fall is around 42' tall. The lower tier is around 50' tall.
Bridal Veil Falls- Beautiful Bridal Veil Falls is an elegant and graceful lady that can be fully appreciated from the deck of a viewing platform rebuilt in 1996. The creek hustles down from the top of nearby Larch Mountain, tumbles over the cliff and eventually flows into the mighty Columbia River.
Next we will drive to Multnomah Falls. According to Native American lore, Multnomah Falls was created to win the heart of a young princess who wanted a hidden place to bathe. Multnomah Falls is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest with more than 2 million stopping by each year to take in the views! Fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain, the flow over the falls varies, but is usually highest during winter and spring. This is also one of the best places in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area to study geology exposed by floods.

This was a very enjoyable excursion to a stunning part of the world. After booking the tour you have to email or call the organiser to arrange pick-up. I was worried this would be difficult since I was out of state when I made the booking and could not get through on the phone number. But they answered the email immediately and arrangements were polite, smooth and easy. Our guide picked me up from my hotel and (after another couple of collections in downtown hotels) we drove to see a number of waterfalls. The view along the river gorge was wonderful and the falls themselves are a treat. Our guide provided a relaxed and informal commentary as we drove along, and made it easy for us to explore the waterfalls, giving us ample time to see what we needed – and even helping take photos. This was a superb way to spend a Sunday morning and well worth it.
Evan was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, a wonderful tour guide...and also fun!!! We lucked out with Evan.
My husband and I came to Portland from San Diego to enjoy my birthday and anniversary. The highlight of our trip was the tour along with the fantastic tour guide John. He made the tour fun with his fun personality and was very informative. We learned quite a bit about Portland that we didn't know about. We only thought the tour include 2 stops but we ended up with 4 which was amazing. If it wasn't for the tour we wouldn't know where to go. We really had alot of fun. Thank you John and the tour company.
The tour to the Columbia River Gorge exceeded our expectations and the waterfalls and views from the mountains are incredibly beautiful. Our favorite was Lateral Falls, in which we had the opportunity to be up close to the base of the waterfall. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable.
Our guide Scott was great. He was very informative on the falls and suggested great places around Portland.
Crystal was an amazing tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and personable! She shared a lot of information and history, and provided other ideas on things to do after the tour. She created an easy going atmosphere while we were checking out some beautiful waterfalls. We highly recommend this tour and guide!
Sara was very good tour guide, very knowledgeable about history and the environment. She had alternative paths to take that were easier to navigate with health conditions.
I am SO incredibly happy and grateful for this tour!! WOW! I scoured the internet trying to find us the best tour. Our hotel suggested 2 different companies but I decided on this one. I am so glad that I did. Our tour guide made the whole experience phenomenal! He was funny, kind, knowledgeable, fun, and just an awesome guy. The tour was just what we were looking for. Definitely book this company!!!!! Do not look anywhere else!!
Our guide, Evan was fantastic! He was very informative and also humorous. He made the day very fun! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone staying in Portland!
Thoroughly enjoyed time spent on board the bus as well as time on the sites. Phil was very knowledgeable about Portland and it’s history.
I joined this tour on 8th August. That was really awesome. I cannot forget three waterfalls. If I have a chance, I wanna go there again.
Crystal was a terrific driver and guide. She was very informative on our tour, and gave us plenty of time at each stop.
My cousin and I were a bit apprehensive about biking along the highway since neither one of us had ridden a bike in years. However, the bikes were easy to control. The entire route was down hill, so theres no strenuous uphill peddling involved. Daniel, our guide, was very informative and provided much history about the area. He was also very helpful in capturing some amazing pictures of us. The views along our journey was absolutely breathtaking. This was such a great way to explore the natural beauty in Oregon.
My wife and I signed up for this bus trip out to the Falls and couldn't have been happier. We got to see 4 different falls, each a small hike through the woods. Our driver, Tom, was awesome; providing an informative guide to the area, the history and more. Very friendly guy and helped make the trip even better. Highly recommend this trip!
This was by far the highlight of my trip to Portland! Aside from the stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls, our tour guide, Evan was friendly, knowledgeable and an EXCELLENT photographer! It was like taking a road trip with an old friend! I’d recommend this in a heartbeat!
Our scheduled Morning tour changed to an Afternoon tour due to lingering ice on the tour route. Our tour guide was excellent sorry I do not remember his name because I did not write it down. He was very knowledgeable and gave us many extra insights about rock formations, geography and trees. We were very pleased with the tour due to our guide's expertise! We will plan another trip to the Gorge the weather is better.
Amazing scenery, extremely knowledgeable and helpful tour guide Marcus and excellent service e.g., picked up and dropped off at hotel.
Excellent tour considering the devastating fire they had in the Columbis River Gorge! The tour guide was excellent.
Beautiful half day tour! I would suggest taking this tour during slower days. We were given a good amount of time at each stop but the weekend crowds made it hard to really appreciate all the beautiful stops. Just had enough time to briskly get to the photo view points and bathroom. When the tour is over, we're given the option of returning to one of largest food truck pods for lunch totally recommended if you haven't been
