great place a lot of history. Very good guide in James was very nice and fun. The weather was very nice got to see the whole place
Very relaxing excursion to experience the wonderful Magnolia Plantation. Our guide was quite informative and friendly. Considerable interesting history of the old south. Well worth the effort. Highly recommended!
Great tour of the grounds and the Magnola Plantation house. Our bus guide, Alan, was first-rate; funny but also filled with information!
My husband and I toured with Shawn. He was very knowledgeable. He allowed for time to independently explore the garden or get a bit to eat.
Our bus driver, Bill i think his name was, was wonderful. He was born and raised in Charleston so he knew everything about it. Lots of good history information before we even got to the plantation. It was well worth the money. I highly recommend it.
We had Val as our driver/tour guide and she did a very good job. She shared a lot of history and information with us. We could see that she enjoys her job as she added a lot of humor to entertain us.
Tour was great. Enjoyed the tram ride and the gardens were stunning. Valerie made the bus ride fun!
Her storytelling was memorable!
This was a wonderful tour. There was the right mixture of walking, riding, touring the mansion and free time to explore. Highly recommend it!
Great guide! Loved the tram tour of the swamp and the walk around the gardens was wonderful. I never would have appreciated the gardens without the guide. The tour of the house was interesting but i would have preferred a longer tram ride. The transportation to and from the plantation made everything very smooth and relaxing!!
Such a great day out! Plantation is only half an hour from the pickup at the Charleston Visitor Centre. Tour started with a walk around the grounds with some fascinating facts, then a nature tour on board a little train with wheels, then finished with a tour of the house sadly cannot take any photos inside. When the flowers are in bloom it is very pretty, and lots of wildlife was spotted a few gators, a multitude of birds including an owl and you have about 25 minutes at the end of the house tour to grab lunch/check out the gift shop/have a look at the petting zoo!
This tour was fabulous. The guide was extremely informative and the different parts of the tour was great. We did a tour by foot, trolley and house tour. The tour also allowed 30 minutes to walk around on your own. The additional transportation was key to and from and easy to get to. Highly recommended
Well organised and booked. It included a garden and house tour, along with a trolley via the slave quarters. It was informative, very pretty and a beautiful estate.
My wife and I really enjoyed the tour of the Beautiful Magnolia Plantation tour. The only thing we would have changed is that we would have liked a little more time onsite to look around. We felt a little rushed through the tour but overall it was good.
Great bus driver. Enjoyed the plantation. Had great walk thru the greenery and plants. Bought the Magnolia Passionfruit Peach tea which is now my favorite tea.
Lovely site. Definitely worth the visit, even now in the fall there are blooming plants. Excellent guide.
Great tour I would highly recommend this very interesting and our guide was great!!!
Tiffany was a wonderful tour guide even though the weather and bus transportation did not cooperate. The issue we had was the way the tour company handled the bus problem. We arrived in about 40 minutes without any problems but when preparing to leave, the bus had a burning smell and was making noises. We departed the bus and Tiffany called the tour company as we waited for a call back from the mechanic. The tour company sent a small car to pick up Tiffany and drive her back to their base and then return to pick us up in another bus. So that would have added about 1 1/2- 2 hours of waiting/returning to our trip. Not sure how many of the approximately 20 passengers waited, but several of us called Uber for a 20 ride back to Charleston. Why they didn't send another bus to pick us up instead of a small car to only take our tour guide was the major issue and inconvenience.
