After checking in at the tour center you will watch a brief video about the manatees, go over the rules of swimming and how to interact in a manner that is fun for both you and the manatees. You are then fitted for a wetsuit to prepare you for your snorkeling adventure. Your guides will photograph the highlights of your entire manatee swim tour from start to finish, both above and below the water. Upon returning to the tour center, a high-resolution picture CD containing images from your manatee tour will be available for you to purchase if desired.

Our guides were so very patient, answered all of our questions. Provided us with good instruction on swimming with the manatees!
Awe had a wonderful and educating time swimming with Manatees in their natural habitat! All the Staff were brilliant and helpful and very knowledgable about the animals!
Best part of my trip. Professional treatment from start to finish. The equipment was top shelf too, We will be back and hope to get Matt and Wade. Can’t say enough about the service and personal attention. Nice job on the photos as well.
We found a mama and calf and was able to spend several minutes with them while she snacked. It was awesome!
Fantastic trip! We took the first trip of the day, it was still dark when we left, but we were the first boat out in the springs area. We had a wonderful time snorkeling with the Manatees! We saw about 8 of them, as well as many interesting fish, in the crystal clear springs. The guide took lots of photos, so we didn't worry about a camera. This was a very fun trip and a unique experience! You don't want to miss it!
It was an amazing experience my partner and I really enjoyed. We had the opportunity to see the manatees very close and spent enough time with these exotic and friendly animals. The guides were really good too. The water is very clear as the name Clear Water says... I would say the whole experience was fantastic and we are happy because of this.
This was a well done, fun tour! If you're in the area, add this to the list.
What a great experience! We saw a lot of Manatees and we were lucky enough to have them interact with us! We even got to see baby Manatees! The guide Crystal was amazing and told us about the manatees as well as took several photos of our group with the manatees. The captain John was very helpful as well and shared his knowledge of the animals and area too. We enjoyed hot cocoa on the boat and had a great trip. Well worth going and the barring the cold weather!
This is a well organized outfit. They have everything on hand that you will need including complimentary hot chocolate and coffee. They prepare you well for what you will be doing and the guides keep track of their people. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The manatees? Yes! They were there and we were taught how to get very close without disturbing them. Great tour!
This was a spectacular trip done very professionally. What a wonderful experience!
This tour was well organized, staff was very friendly, pleasant, informative. Good equipment, well maintained and clean. Staff worked hard to find us some manatees not too many of them around in the summer, and we had ample time to enjoy observing them. I plan to come back in the winter and use this same company to do this tour again.
This experience is amazing! It should be on everyone's bucket list. There were 8 of us from age 9-56 and was enjoyed be all. My son said this was the best part of the whole vacation even better than 'Harry Potter' at the theme park! Captain John and Hunter our guide was amazing!!!
We booked the 6:15 a.m. tour. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Everything was extremely organized from the moment we arrived. The staff where we geared up were super friendly, and our guides, Mike and Rhonda, were amazing! They got us out on/in the water quickly and long before the crowds came. I have to give a big thank you to Mike for being super patient with me - I had never wore snorkeling gear before and my claustrophobic self was kind of struggling ok, scratch that-there was no kind of-I WAS struggling! with getting used to the idea of wearing it in the water for the first few minutes. We were able to find a mom and baby manatee quite quickly and our small group was able to observe/interact with them for a long time. We then went to another area and saw 3 more manatees, plus we were able to view an underwater spring. We finished off the tour cruising to the other side of the river and were able to view some beautiful birds and their babies, as well as some turtles. It was obvious that both Mike and Rhonda have a great respect for these lovely creatures, and that this experience should be viewed as a privilege - it is not a theme-park type encounter I won't do those - you wait/observe and hope! that the manatees approach you - you don't pursue them. It is a definitely one for the bucket list! :
Outstanding!! All the staff were welcoming, fun and helpful. Rob was an awesome tour guide with the manatees!!!!
Outstanding, attentive staff. Good instructions with concerns for the customers' good time and the safety of the manatees. My daughter and I had a great morning on the water...thanks
Our trip was AMAZING! We had Emerson and Troy as our guides, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. They were very knowledgeable about the area, the manatee, and the equipment we were using. They were also very friendly and patient with those of us who were new to snorkeling. They made our swimming experience so much fun! All the staff back at headquarters were super nice and friendly as well. Our family would highly recommend this experience with River Ventures for anyone who is looking for a great way to learn about the manatee and have a wonderful time. Thank you so much River Ventures!
Really enjoyed the trip, relaxing and wonderful sights. The captain was informative and enjoyed the interaction he had with all of us. I would do this again. Thank you
