the pass made it so easy at every attraction we visited. I purchased it through a third party but the mobile pass was all I needed.
2nd year buying this pass . Saves so much hassle . Saves money overall a great pass. Suitable for every family
The pass was great - we chose the number of attractions we wanted to experience in the time we were in New York, without overdoing it. However, the one disappointment was that having enjoyed the downtown hop on-hopp off bus tour, we just missed the uptown bus and never saw one again that day, despite waiting for almost an hour at one stop.
picked 3 attractions for myself and daughter, no problems at each attraction using my voucher, very straight forward. I would buy again.
A great way to see and experience the sights, sounds and smells of New York City. Highly recommended as it's good value for money. Unfortunately, due to illness, I was unable to use all of my vouchers...I did contact Viator about this and they did say they would get back to me.
The subways are a nightmare!!! The food was great. I used my pass for many attractions, like Statue of Liberty,Ellis Island, hop -on and off tour,Empire State Building, Wax museum, Woodbury Commons Shopping trip and ripley's believe or not. We ate at three different restaurants on our pass and saved 30.00 on our meals. DON'T go to the NewYork gift shop on 7th. ST., the owner WILL NOT HONORED the discounts as offered, NOT worth the walk!!!!!
The card was good but using it at certain attractions proved to be inconvenient.
For example, in order to to use the hop on and hop off tour bus, I had to visit the Sightseeing visitor center to redeem the ticket rather than being able to redeem it at the hop on and hop off bus itself. To make it worst, the queue at the Sightseeing visitor center was so long. Another example was I was not able to redeem the ticket for the Statue of Liberty cruise because the scanning machine there was not able to recognise the QR code on the printed voucher retrieved from my email.
Last Saturday we had the pleasure of taking a CitySightseeing cruise around the Statue of Liberty and under some of my favorite New York bridges. The tour guide was very informative and nicely recommended an amazing cuisine spot on 5th avenue I think it was Planet Hollywood. Ill never forget the sights of the city from the cruise ship. So thankful for the amazing pictures we took away from the event. 10/10 would recommend.
Last week I had the pleasure of going to the top of the Freedom Tower after my innovative visit to Ground Zero. For starters, the movie in the elevator ride up to the top floor was- in one word- breathtaking. The personalized tour with the given iPads were also a must. Also, the television floors of cars passing by made for great pictures. Overall, I cannot wait to relive the experience. Using the pass with my friends was fast, simple and easy. I bought the pass while waiting on the line and was able to use it right away. Hopefully next summer we will come back to see the top of the Empire State Building.
I bought the flexpass tickets to see the Statue of Liberty and take a tour of Ellis Island with my husband. My favorite part was the relaxing boat ride to the island. We enjoyed the views and had a legendary time walking around seeing all angles of the statue. Also, the complementary audible tour guide was nice and taught us everything we wanted to know.
My brother was in town from Israel. His one request was to see the sights of the city. Boy was I lucky to be recommended the sightseeing flex pass, it has everything! My friend recommended I use the pass and I go to the top of the Freedom tower. Nevertheless, we have never seen a more breath taking sight of New York City. A true once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We used this Aug-17 trip to NYC. There is NO Fast-Track available in Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Not sure why they advertise here.
Empire state building Greyline booth staff was not sure this pass they accept or not.
And Intrepid museum staff said they need to print this out, they were not able to scan it from QR code from mobile. So we had few delays. Other than this is good. We used 7 attractions and covered all. But didn't use bus tour because of bad reviews.
This is a longer post, fair warning...We had a poor experience using our Sightseeing Flex Pass in NYC. When we arrived in the city we went to our first destination...the 911 museum and learned we should have gone to the main office in downtown NYC to pick up some sort of ticket. So we paid our entrance there. On our way back into town, we found the address for an office in the bus depot. When we arrived, the person behind the desk didn't know what we were talking about or how to help us so he sent us to another location, several blocks away. When we got there, the young lady behind the counter rudely informed us that our pass should have worked and we wouldn't have anymore problems using it. The next day we went to the Met. The same problem happened again! By this time, we're 3 days into the trip and we've bought 5 experiences, used none. After the Met, we returned to the same place that we'd been the day before to see if they could down grade our pass to 3 experiences and return some of our money. They wouldn't do that, saying that because we'd gone through Viator, a 3rd party, their hands were tied. Needless to say, we used 3 experiences out of the 5 and decided to never go with this pass again. I did see lots of people using NYC City pass getting into these venues without any problem. I'd go with them!!
Great value! This FlexPass provides access to great number of attractions so I recommend figuring out what you'd like to do first. For me it was tremendous value, since Empire State Building charges $50+ for standard ticket and Statue of Liberty night cruise was $30+. I received a QR code which I used to get day-of tickets at each attraction's ticket booths. Pretty easy. Just give yourself some time before each tour. For example, the FastPass at Empire State means you can skip the ticket line at the entrance of the building. Instead you walk into a Grayline ticket booth off to the side to get the ticket (shorter line). After that, you have to still line up with everyone else to access the elevators (took me about 15 mins at 10pm on a Wednesday).
A group of us gathered in the morning in front of the visitor center and proceeded to get in line to get our bus tickets. Actually, getting our tickets was difficult and seemed a little disorganized. We were using a QR code and none of the staff seemed to have the proper equipment to scan our codes to get our tickets. Even though we were in line, there were several groups that were accommodated before us because of this QR code. Once we got our tickets, we finally got on a bus and got our day of touring started. I should have guessed that realistically we would not have been able to see all the things we wanted just knowing how New York transportation operates. So for any groups considering this pass, definitely have a plan beforehand. My tour day was a day of firsts for me. Our group went to the Guggenheim, The Empire State Building and One World Observatory. I had never been to any of these attractions and venues so, overall it was a good day for me. I enjoyed every place we went to. Everyone recognized our Sightseeing Pass at each venue so scanning our QR codes was efficient and quick. The $15-dollar credit at the selected restaurants was a good value. Our group of 5 only spent a total $14 and change at Planet Hollywood after our credit. I feel the overall value of this package was good. It is what I would have spent on individual tickets to each of these places, I believe and it was definitely a fun day out with friends.
This tour was overall fantastic. I was with a group of fellow New Yorkers and we decided to have the iconic NYC experience and see some of the major spots. A few of us in the group had never been to some of these locations. We decided on the sightseeing pass with bus tour. We started off heading uptown to the Guggenheim, where the architecture alone is worth the visit. Then we headed down to Times Square for lunch and used our voucher credit. Then it was off to the Empire State Building for incredible views! This is a must see! We then took the bus downtown to the World Trade Center for a drink at the observation bar, and then watched the sunset with more amazing views! Overall is was a super fun day, with many instagram-worthy photo ops. The bus was a great way to see the city and take photos without being underground or in a cab. I can't wait to take more friends and go again, there's so much more to see still.
I went to the One World Observatory. This is the tallest building in the western hemisphere. The view you get at the top is amazing. I went early in the morning, right as it opened, and didn't have much of a line or crowd to deal with. The entire observatory level is inside, and the glass surrounding it makes taking pictures a bit difficult. If you press up against the glass, it eliminates most of the glare you would get. Highly recommended
