Your tour begins in downtown Charleston at the corner of Cumberland and Concord, where you'll join with local storytellers for the 1.5-hour walking tour through Charleston's grisly past. Along with expansive harbor views, you'll visit several haunted sites that are scattered across downtown, and enter the Unitarian Church Graveyard site that's filled with tombstones and ghouls.
As your entertaining local guide recounts the tales of Charleston citizens who ended up here in this graveyard, be sure to keep an eye out for anything paranormal or spiritual, as many different sightings have occurred right here amidst the graves, and you never know what spirits might be lurking out in the moonlight!

This was something different that we thought we would try, and we were not disappointed. I do recommend taking the later tour, everything was appropriately spooky. Our guide, Rob, was knowledgeable, and did a great job. This was great bang for your buck!
Our guide Neil gave a very cool tour..and without giving it away..the ending and his rendition of Annabelle Lee was breathtakingly beautiful and heart breaking. Highly recommend.
Ghosts of Charleston Tour Guide, Rhett, was not only interesting but well spoken and knowledgeable. He made the tour fun and educational and seemed to cater to all ages. Well done!
I have been on ghost tours in Bermuda, London, Williamsburg, Virginia and this one was very disappointing. It was less of a ghost Tour and more of a educational tour. The tour guide was great ... but either they don’t have enough ghosts (which I can’t believe) but the book they are following for the tour was greatly disappointing. This tour is not for anyone who is really looking for a ghost tour where you get 2 hours of information of ghosts and where ghosts appear.
Mr. Neall did an excellent job as our tour guide! Plus, the book store we met at had a lot of great selection. Highly recommend!
Gregg was amazing. Very knowledgeable and fun. Not cheesy. Exactly what one would want even a tad scary! Awesome guide.
I have been on ghost tours all over the country and this was one of the worst!
It was all long stories about people that lived and died here. I was hoping for incidents and sightings
and actual anecdotes, maybe even some photos others had taken. None of that was included.
It was a fun walk through town with a great guide. The history of the area is amazing and to hear the ghostly side of it was entertaining!
Our Tour was well organised, The commentary was excellent Our Guide Alexandra was very knowledgeable about her subject and obviously had a love of history and the beautiful city of Charlestown.
My tip would be to wear good walking shoes as the cobblestones made walking difficult at times. Also take water even though the tour was after dark it was still hot and steamy. excellent value for money.
My fiancé and I did the 9:30pm tour, which was the perfect time since it was dark, cool, and quiet for the most part. We were with Greg and he was GREAT! Very funny and really knew what he was talking about. If you like to hear about the history while also being a bit spooked out, this is the one!
The tour was not as advertised. Tour only lasted 1 hour. We complained the following day. The booking company did not really care. I would not recommend this tour.
This was a fantastic experience. It was information and very spooky. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Excellent tour! very good tour guide. the only thing is that at the end he was rushing off and leaving everyone behind because he had another tour to do and people were trying to find out how to get back to main location. it might be a good idea to end the tour in the same location so people don't get confused.
We enjoyed our tour greatly. We booked the 7 pm tour. The tour guide was informative but did not take into regards the older members of the tour group. He would speed walk ahead and then wait for half the party to catch up. The tour ended in the grave yard and as the tour ended we tipped the tour guide and he abruptly ran off rambling off directions on how to get back to the bookstore as he raced back for the next tour. Needless to say it was dark and we got lost trying to find our way back, which was painful for the elderly person in our group. Assistance back to the start of the tour would have been ideal, or the number for a cab service.
Yes a ghost tour is a must for Charleston and this one is really good. Our guide Dan loves history and brought his tales to life in his descriptive narrative. Most informative and captivating. This included a walk through a graveyard as well, which is quite something. Glad we chose this tour, made for a memorable experience in charming Charleston.
One of the highlights of our Charleston trip! Our tour guide was amazing and a fabulous storyteller. We were lucky to be with a small friendly group and definitely glad we had decided to take the tour after Dark as it added to the ambiance. We hope to visit Charleston again and will definitely repeat the tour. Advice, buy the book are you will probably be sorry you didn't! I ended up ordering two copies after returning home and then having to pay shipping.
