This tour was so much fun. The tour guide was so hilarious and fun. Had a blast going on the bayou and seeing crocodiles. Even got to hold a miniature one! Was nervous because at pickup there were definitely many people onboard the bus, but they split you into smaller groups upon arrival. Tour was a great choice and the breeze felt amazing as it was 85 degrees in NOLA.
Great time was had by all in this very interesting tour into the bayous a great insight into bayou life and very enjoyable
I think it's a must do if your in the New Orleans area
What a brilliant experience! Well worth the ticket price and wished I could have gone straight back out again at the end. The guide/driver/swamp man, whatever you want to call him was absolutely brilliant, loads of knowledge, loads of information and loads of stories and loads of laughs.
Great to go skipping over the water in the airboat at speeds but also nice to go slowly where we needed to, to be able to see the wildlife and bayou. On the day we saw a dolphin, snapping turtles, numerous birds including a Bald Eagle and of course the Alligators! When I saw the number of airboats going out with us I thought it would be too busy to enjoy, how wrong I was, saw 1 other boat in the canals and then nothing until we were returning to dock. Well organised and a highly recommended trip, believe me you will want an airboat after this trip!
If you have never been on an airboat, please do yourself a favor and book a trip in the Bayou. We saw lots of gators (even got to hold a small one), raccoons and other wildlife during this Tour. An absolute must-try!
Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommended. The alligators are seen in abundance --one came close to the boat and was fed a marshmallow!! Highly recommended tour
Our guide, Gene, with Tours by Isabelle was excellent. His knowledge of the history of NOLA was great, and he gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations. It was worth the extra money to go on a smaller boat, and arrange for pick up at our hotel. Saw several gators and birds in the swamps, and the airboat ride is a thrill.
This was an awesome tour and our guide was great. Would recommend this to anyone! Loved it.
Loved this adventure. The van transport guide was friendly and helpful. The Airboat captain shared his knowledge of the bayou and the animals that lived there. He made the experience very enjoyable.
From the minute we set off with Ginnie as our tour guide travelling to the Airboat Ride meeting point, the talk she gave was fascinating. I wish school teachers had been as good as Ginnie and as interesting. Our guide on the Airboat was T. Earl T is Cajun for Junior. He was fantastic, really informative and amusing. There were only 6 of us on the trip which was brilliant - I could have stayed in the swamp listening to T Earl all day. Can't recommend this trip highly enough.
Brilliant and well worth the extra expense of going on the smaller boat. Our guide was entertaining, knowledgeable and authentic. We got to see alligators up close and also a large snake, racoons and large ! spiders, which suspend their webs across the smaller channels. We also had the ecology of the bayou explained to us
The boats are quite noisy but ear muffs are provided if you want to wear them. One small point, at speed the boat can slam quite hard so if you have back or neck problems you might want to make some enquiries before booking
However, overall a fantastic experience - the buzz of high speed turns on a boat so low to the water was worth the fare on it's own !
The tour was amazing! The Driver John was funny and insightful both heading to the airboat tour and back. Steve the tour guide was even better. Showing us all the neat stuff the swamp has to offer. The airboat fit my group of 6 and we were able to see things that the larger airboats couldn’t.
We took the small group and we are very glad! Our tour guide was awesome. Who know alligators love marshmallows? We saw a ton of alligators, and some baby raccoons. Highly recommend spending the money and doing the small boat.
Justin was a great guide. Good knowledge about his area with just the right amount of humor. Would highly recommend this tour.
The small airboat was great, our guide took us to great spots! Heads up that the small airboat tour doesn't get to hold baby alligators, but the large boat (not fan boat) does get to. The albino alligator in the main building is pretty awesome too.
A wonderful experience! I'm sorry I don't remember our driver guides name, but she was great. Spoke about the history of New Orleans and also about Hurricane Katrina on the drive out. The airboat was incredible! Our boat guide Justin was excellent! We saw lots of gators! Highly recommend!
A must do while in NOLA!! Our guide T Earl was amazing, saw tons of alligators. I was pleasantly surprised that they are conservationists and the alligators are conservationists. Really can't say enough about this awesome experience!
Excellent tour - we were picked up from Downtown hotel on schedule and taken out to swamp. Loads of alligators to see - although not much other wildlife. Very small numbers 6-7 max I think, so you really got close up to see the sites.
Take water and hat - we went in August and it was extremely hot!
