The only thing better than viewing the greatest collection of modern and contemporary art in the world? Doing so without the crowds. An engaging, professional art historian will guide you on your one-hour tour, so you can see the masterpieces in a quiet, peaceful setting.
With your dedicated guide leading the way, your tour will enjoy the Museum's world-famous collection that includes everything from Pablo Picasso's Les Demoiselles d'Avignon to Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night. And surrealist fans take note: Salvador Dalí's The Persistence of Memory also hangs here. Plus the MoMA building is a destination unto itself: a high-ceilinged, light-filled wonder designed by Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi.
After the tour, take a breather in the peaceful Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, filled with trees, sculptures, and a reflecting pool; enjoy any of the Museum's special exhibitions and films; and take home a special memento from the MoMA Design Store. The Museum is also home to Terrace 5, a cafe overlooking the Sculpture Garden and The Modern, a two Michelin Star fine dining establishment with a contemporary seasonal American menu.

Excellent tour! The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. Being able to have an all access experience without jostling and fighting to see the Art was priceless.
Our guide was amazing, she covered practically everything in just 60 minutes. The tour is a must if you want to enjoy the works of art and really appreciate the details in paintings such as Van Gogh's starry night.
Enjoying and learning some of the most significant art works in history before the museum opens to the public and before the museum is flooded with the crowd. This is the way to visit the museums. Worth every penny.
If you are a lover of modern art then look no further. The guide was well versed on the artists and I enjoyed the works she selected.
I cannot overstate how amazing it was to have a private tour BEFORE the museum opened to the public. Our tour guide, Gayle, was very knowledgeable and I learned things about the artists I never knew before. If you love art, please don't miss this!
This is THE away to see the great art at the MOMA!!! Great guide! Highly recommend!
A fantastic tour and well worth the cost to see some of the most popular paintings up close and with plenty of time for photo's without feeling rushed. Later in the morning there were queues 8 deep trying to see the same paintings. I would definitely do this again when visiting a major Art Gallery or Museum.
Great - Jackie was informative and fun - stops for food great....well paced. Was a chilly day so good to keep moving and we covered a lot of ground! Thanks again....
Terry was our guide on our Oct. 29 tour. He was excellent! The opportunity to be in a small group of international travelers and be so up-close with the works of art was fantastic. A great experience - do it!
Highly recommended for a start to a day at MoMA, followed by various free pop-up docent tours throughout the museum. The early start before the crowds is great!
Really enjoyed the private tour, the guide was very informative and an excellent orator. I recommend for this tour for both art novice or art connaisseur!
The tour was great! To be able to have this tour prior to the museum opening allows you to learn about the most famous paintings before the crowds enter. Our guide was very thorough.
This was one of the best experiences we had in New York. Such a simple, enjoyable way to get a handle on what MOMA is all about. Our guide Petra was incredibly knowledgable but her delivery was easy to understand and interesting. I would definitely sign up a second time, even to see the same incredible art.
It was a blessing to be able to see the art without any obstacles. The tour is VERY fast though. The guide is knowledgeable but they move you through quickly.
Truly an excellent value. Our guide Midori was great and stayed an extra 30min with the group to finish answering questions. The tour was only 5 people and we had the entire museum to ourselves before it opened to the public. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough and would absolutely do it again - thank you! Brian
What a special day! The MoMA is such an iconic museum and home to some of the world’s best works of art. Being escorted around the empty MoMA with a very knowledgeable guide was truly an exceptional experience. The guide focused on a number of different paintings giving history and perspective without trying to rush us throughout the entire museum. It was nice to be able to actually digest the paintings and view them without being surrounded by a crowd. To stand right in front of Starry Night and actually be able to see it (normally there is a big group of people all trying to get a photo) was really special. After we were allowed to roam around as long as we liked.
