I have visited before and had Shannon..I was thrilled to go with my sister yesterday for the 10am...we didn’t have Shannon, but our guide did a fantastic job!!
Rich gave the tour and was fantastic. His knowledge of the site made it worthwhile. He was excited about the history of the city and the cemetery.
The morning was extremely hot and he took time to bring cold water back for my wife. His compassion alone would make me recommend them beyond five stars.
Thanks Rich for making our bonaventure tour a great memory.
Shannon was very knowledgeable and presented interesting facts. We went on the morning tour before the heat of the day.
Not being sure as to what the Bonaventure Cemetery Journey would we like, we were so pleasantly surprised to find out it was the highlight of our trip to Savannah. Through our knowledgeable, humorous, entertaining and animated tour guide, Rich, we were immersed in historic tales of the permanent residents of the Bonaventure Cemetery. I highly recommend Bonaventure Cemetery Journey with Shannon Scott.
Thank heavens there is a no-cancellation policy - yes, really! We started to rethink booking this tour, but no regrets now since this is one of our best memories of Savannah. Tour guide Dawn also of 6th World Sense was interesting, informative, and delightfully entertaining. She sang a medley of songs by songwriter Savannah native Johnny Mercer. Who knew that we were so familiar with his works! This tour is well worth your time and money.
Very fun tour! Our guide was AWESOME and gave us so much detail and history and facts. It was a hot day, but so worth it. I would definitely recommend bringing some water and wearing comfortable shoes. Make sure that your phone is charged so that you can take some pictures!
Very interesting tour. Shannon Scott shared a lot of information with our small group. He was very knowledgeable.
Shannon Scott should win an award for his amazing story telling abilities. He made the dead come alive for us as we toured this beautiful old cemetery with all of it's amazing monuments, plantings and dead people! This tour is more than just your average cemetery tour. There is such beauty all around you as you walk through and the carved monuments are truly works of art. Shannon was fabulous and he made this a very special tour for the four of us. It was a rather cold start to the day so our walking tour became a driving tour as Shannon was keeping in mind our comfort. Thank you, Shannon. We hope that we will return to Savannah again some day and we will definitely be doing this tour again, especially if it's with you! Mary, Mike, Ann and Clay
Truly amazing! I felt like I was with my coolest professor from college. We were really amazed at all the great information and how it was presented in such an interesting way. Our favorite part of the trip!!!o
Shannon was an extraordinary guide. Exciting, dramatic, historic. We were so happy we took his tour and highly recommend it! It was one of our favorite experiences of the trip.
Shannon Scott is extremely knowledgeable and very interesting to listen to. We learned a lot and would highly recommend his tour.
Lovely tour of a lovely cemetery. Lisa Marie was a charming host as we enjoyed one of Savannah's gardens.
This tour was so well worth the money spent. Our guide, Lisa Marie, was so knowledgeable and enthused about the history of this intriguing place. The stories she shared were absolutely fascinating! We would do this again.
Shannon Scott is a highly entertaining guide, but his presentation is also thoroughly researched and very informative. It is not to be missed.
This was one of the best tours I have ever done and Lisa Presley was OUTSTANDING!!! She loved what she was doing she she knew what she was talking about. The people that saw the cemetery without a tour missed out on so much history and fabulous stories about the cemetery. Would recommend this tour again and again. Savannah is a beautiful city and this cemetery is equally as beautiful
Of the many Viator bookings I have made in America and Europe -- this was the best. Shannon made this tour educational, enjoyable and personal. I cannot think I have ever met a better host and guide. It was if you were the long lost cousin, and he was giving you the family updates since you were out of town. I could have spent hours with him. We took the day-time tour next time in Savannah we will take the night tour just to see Shannon again. I cannot imagine visiting Savannah without taking this tour.
This was my favorite walking tour in Savannah. Shannon was right on time, very professional, but mostly he was a great story teller and very knowledgeable. He has obviously spent time looking into the people and history of Bonaventure, and his love for his subjects is obvious! Shannon has also studied secret societies which played a big part both in the layout of Savannah and of the cemetery. The map of the cemetery was quite eye opening! Shannon was very friendly and fun, answered all our questions, and left us wanting more! The cemetery itself was beautiful and very interesting, but hearing the stories behind what we were seeing made it so much better. It was just a short drive from where we were staying by Forsythe Park, and Shannon's instructions for meeting were easy to follow. I highly recommend this tour!
My husband and I really enjoyed our tour of Bonaventure Cemetery with Shannon Scott. We would highly recommend this tour to all that are interested in the history of this beautiful cemetery, Shannon Scott was a great tour guide, he kept us interested and made us laugh too. Shannon truly made the history of Bonaventure Cemetery come alive, a master story teller for sure.
