ROUND TRIP Boat & Bus LOCKS CRUISE
Enjoy a narrated cruise over Lake Union, Ballard Locks, Puget Sound & Elliott Bay. Lake Union is home to the famous floating home community seen in the classic Sleepless in Seattle. The lake is an active airport for seaplanes, water sports and the fishing industry. You'll pass many commercial docks (home to vessels from the show Deadliest Catch). On your way from the freshwater of Lake Union to the saltwater of the Puget Sound, you pass through the Ballard Locks which holds the saltwater out of the lakes. In Puget Sound, you enjoy astonishing vistas of Seattle's unique skyline, Mount Rainier hovering in the distance, and ferry boats plying the waters. The narrated cruise portion is one-way. However, this round trip package includes a motor coach transfer so the tour starts/ends at Pier 55.
- Boat & Bus Round-trip Package - Includes the one way cruise plus a motor coach transfer to/from Pier 55

Returns to original departure point
Hop aboard the Locks Cruise and learn all about the complex Locks system that provides a link for boats between the salt water of Puget Sound and the fresh water of the Ship Canal, which connects to Lake Union. Watch as the Locks' water levels are adjusted to allow their safe passage, and spot the fish ladder, built to allow salmon to pass between the fresh water and salt water. You'll be treated with live onboard commentary and views of the stunning Seattle skyline, Lake Union, Puget Sound, the surrounding mountains, Elliot Bay and a parade of sailboats, motorboats, tugboats, barges and yachts passing through the Locks. You'll even cruise past the iconic floating houseboat community that was featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle, so take advantage of great photo opportunities here!

We had a great time. The weather was perfect. Fantastic views of the canal, the Casade Moutains, Mount Rainer as well as a glimpse of Mount Baker. The guide was good but not too chatty.
We loved the cruise. Very good views and a very good tour guide. Loved seeing the floating homes and going through the locks. Would recommend to anyone. One note, the boarding ramp is very steep in the afternoon due to low tide.
Boat clean and well maintained. Guides pleasant and well informed. Nice way to fill in the gaps of what may be missing for one's knowledge of the city and for a first time visitor a great primer.
Great way to start our Seattle getaway. Very informative and lovely way to see Seattle. Highly recommend
The crew was great - very informative. Drinks good. Very relaxing. Everyone was very friendly. Cray jumping salmon. So cool!
Very interesting to see the locks from the Sound into Lake Washington. Also included a cruise along the coast with great picture opportunities of the skyline. Our guide was vet knowledgeable and all the crew were really pleasant. Highly recommend this excursion!
Very interesting to see how the locks worked. Staff on the boat was very friendly and very informative. Definitely recommend this tour.
My clients really enjoyed the locks cruise...will definitely book it again!
Wonderful cruise and experience of passing through the locks! AJ provided excellent narration which included local history and points of interest.
This was a great treat to see a different view of Seattle from the water view. Being handicapped, the staff were very attentive and made sure that I made it safely on and off the boat. I only wish the windows were cleaner for those of us that sat inside.
Everyone should go on this cruise. It was the best thing I did in Seattle. I did many other tours but even though all were way above average Locks Cruise was the very best.
This cruise provides a very interesting trip through the Seattle locks and so much more. The narrator offered superb commentary all along the way touching on geology, history, flora and fauna. We learned about movie settings, life on house boats, Seattle’s many parks as well as business, industry and especially boats. I also give him credit for creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. People seemed to really enjoy the experience. I certainly did.
Absolute amazing experience, my Mom and children just loved it! Highly recommended, the narrators are very personal and informative. It was a gorgeous day for the event and we couldn't have been more happy.
MUST DO in Seattle! Indoor seating on boat perfect for colder weather. Beautiful views of Seattle and experience of the Locks!
Great tour. I just came from Seattle and it was nice and wintry outside. That fresh air combined with the beautiful sites along with learning about the Seattle culture was an awesome experience. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Great way to spend part of an afternoon. We really enjoyed this tour! Our guide was very informative and it was a great way to see Seattle. We loved seeing the locks.
I think the tour was wonderful. Personnel good. Seattle is a beautiful city.
