This tour was everything we expected. John was a very personable and informative guide. We had a great day walking thru Nashville!
Our guide Starlene was a masterful storyteller, weaving anecdotes around country music, the history of Nashville and the local food scene. We greatly enjoyed this tour! I'm sorry that I have almost run out of my stash of Goo-Goo clusters that I bought on the tour.
The guide was enthusiastic and knowledgable. Provided a ton of history and insight while enabling us to enjoy the different foods of Nashville. We went back and ate at the places on the tour. Take this tour!
We had a great walking food tour, we got to taste the local flavors and got some history of the city. Seth was a very informative guide
Great food and history (taste) of Nashville! John was an Awesome and knowledgeable tour guide! Fun and worth the money
Absolutely one of the best activities I've done since being in Nashville. We visited 5 different food establishments in East Nashville. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Tour was very well organized. As we entered a restaurant, tables were set up for us and a chef or owner told us a history of the area, and how each item was prepared. Samples were large at each place, so we were very full when the tour was over. We were greeted with pimento cheese biscuits before the tour began, visited Edley's BBQ where we learned how their special BBQ was made, progressed to Butcher and Bee for fabulous vegetarian dishes, then to Yeast Nashville where we sampled sweet and savory kolaches, then to the Turnip truck to see farm to table produce in this organic grocery, and ended at Margot Cafe for dessert. It was a lovely tour and one I would highly recommend.
Amazing.. great food. Starlean was great..knowledable and made the tour fun. Ask for Starlean! Flooring in Hard rock cafe a great part of history.
This was a nice tour, we walked and learned about downtown Nashville, the food was alright compared to the shuttle tour food trip. Starlean was so nice and was informative about the history as well.
Both the tour and the food were excellent! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, personable and very considerate, considering it rained the entire time! She made sure we were inside as much as possible and even went ahead of us at one point to order food at the next restaurant so that we wouldn't have to wait in the rain! Top notch - definitely adding this as a 1 thing to do when we have friends/family visit!
Delicious food and great information about Nashville, fantastic way to spend our morning! Sarah is a wonderful tour guide
Great walking tour. Our tour guide 'Breezy' was enthusiastic, fun and had a lot to tell. saw you at the CMA's Breezy! Just don't have breakfast before you start the tour because you will eat a lot! Nashville is just a great, vibrant city that breathes music and food. Love the city and love the tour. Highly recommend it!
I really enjoyed the tour. It was tasty, informative and fun! Our guide, Brad, was funny and gave great tid bits about Nashville. Loved learned and eating!
This tour was fantastic because the guide was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the downtown area, not only taking us to wonderful places to taste southern cuisine, but also giving us some history of the area. Recommend highly.
Underwhelmed. We have been to the Broadway strip in Nashville before. We were under the impression for this walking tour that we were going to go off the beaten path to places we may not find on our own. The tour started with a brief stop at the fort near the train station don't really know what that had to do with a food tour and then a stroll 2-3 blocks up one side of Broadway and back 2-3 blocks on the other side, ending at Acme Feed. Admittedly the BBQ place was probably not a place we would have gone into and the BBQ was good. The other stops included a slider, jalapeno popper a Goo Goo cluster and a chicken wing. I realize the fee includes the time for the guide too, not just 4-5 samplings of food, but the tour was hampered by the inability to hear what the guide was saying with all the street noise. We truly could only hear about 1/2 of what she was saying. Other walking tours we've been on included ear pieces for the patrons. I would suggest this for this tour too.
Pam was a great tour guide! We got to taste a nice mix of local flavor - my favorite was Jack's BBQ! It started to rain and Pam was kind enough to go and grab some rain poncho's so we wouldn't get too wet as we continued our tour. I would recommend for all who enjoy tasting the local fare.
I can not remember our hosts name, but she was a little scattered brained, but She gave a good history of the area, though she was hard to hear and could have benefited from a microphone. The BBQ place we sampled was good, but Im not sure why we sampled sliders, what do they have to do with Nashville? other then the gray line office was in the same building!! Not sure this tour was worth the cost.
