Returns to original departure point
Your day begins as when you arrive at the departure location in Marrero, a 35 minute drive outside of New Orleans. You will be introduced to your captain and briefed quickly on procedure inside of the Airboat. Once everyone in the group is prepared to take off you captain will rev the engine.
This particular airport is powered by a 454 Chevy Engine that's capable of accelerating to speeds as high as 35 miles per hour. The boat is propelled by a large fan behind the boat which can deliver wind speeds of over 200 miles per hour. This tour is fast and loud!
Your tour guide will bring you from location to location around the swamp and make frequent stops for you to have encounters with the wildlife. Chances are you'll probably have some reptilian visitors. The alligators have no problems making their way to the side of the boat and showing off for the visitors. After the tour of the swamp is complete you will be returned to the original departure location to make your way back to New Orleans.

What a great experience and tour guide. Super fun, easy day. We saw lots of gators and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. My daughter said this was the best thing we’ve done since being in NOLA!
It was a great trip with a great guide and we saw dozens on alligators. Go early or late as gators submerge during the hot hours if the day.
The problem was that we purchased the small group air boat tour because it was “ limited to only 6 passengers”. We were put on a boat with 9 passengers and a maximum of 13. The tour also says it lasts 2 hours but we were back at the dock 90 minutes after we left.
I would book the same tour if I had it to do all over again but I would appreciate more honesty in the tour details.
Small boat captain demonstrated excellent knowledge of the area, his boat, and local ecology. Was able to appropriately entertain a small bachelor party. Competitively priced, highly recommended.
Note: would recommend planning for a ride back, as it is an out of the way location. Easier if you book an earlier tour, as you can catch the uber that people arrived in.
Our 4 person travel party had an amazing time on this tour. Our guide Paco was very friendly and outgoing, and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave us great information about the gators and the habitat, interacted with the alligators, and answered all of the questions we had. Thanks for a great tour!
What a great experience. Enjoyed every minute of the tour. The only thing visitors need to be aware of is that you need to make your own way to the location. It is about 40 minutes out of town and if you don't have your own transport you could be walking a while or stranded.
We had a great trip! Our guide I wish I could remember his name was great. He grew up in this area and was quite knowledgeable when it came to the information about the plants, trees, wildlife, etc. There were moments when the ride was exhilarating, and moments of slow, calm riding where we could just enjoy the beauty of the land. In the end, he surprised us by allowing us to hold a baby alligator. I highly recommend this excursion!
Una muy linda experiencia, aún habiendo sido en invierno con muy baja temperatura.
Tour was fabulous. Tour guide was great and very informative. We had alligators eating marshmallows right next to our boat. Totally recommend this S a must see in New Orleans.
We loved the tour. We got up close and personal with the wildlife in the swamp including the alligators! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and consequently we learned a lot. The small boat allowed us access to venues and wildlife that the larger boats could not manage. We are seasoned travelers and were very satisfied with our excursion.
We had a blast! Saw tons of gators and our guide Larry was very knowledgeable. He threw marshmallows and chicken out for the gators and they came right up to the boat. Got to hold a baby too!
Great tour! Lots of excitement on the air boat going through the marshes but also very educational on how important the area is.
Great experience with a fun guide Kenny. This trip was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we booked it! Would definitely do this again - what fun!
Rocky was the man. Unbelievable experience. He got gator after gator up close and personal and when we were cruising the waterways, we were absolutely flying!
Très très bien une belle balade et on a même touché des crocodiles !!!! À faire sans exister
our tour guide grew up around the corner - literally - and was very knowledgeable. Plus, he knew how to teach us all the interesting stuff. We highly recommend this tour.
Did a small airboat for my family, daughter and family's first visit. Marty was our guide, very informative and very funny. I recommend this tour! Will do it again!!
