Welcome to the most interresting sightseeing tour of San Diego !
We will start our adventure in La Jolla with its beautiful coastal views. The surroundings in La Jolla are really spectacular, with your feet on one of the most picturesque beaches in California you can see the Mediterranean backdrops right beside it, what gives the place an awesome feeling and gives you the opportunity to take some perfect pictures of the omnipresent marine life. You are guaranteed to approach Sea Lions, Pelicans and Seals at the “children pool”.
After a ride on the top of the Mount Soledad where you will enjoy a 360 panoramic view of the county, we will visit Coronado Island, the little summer paradise located just a bridge away from Downtown San Diego. Beside its 25 miles of beautiful beaches and dunes Coronado is famous for its elegant gardens and old-world Mac Mansions and the historic Hotel Del Coronado.
After enjoying the nicest beaches in the San Diego area we will head to downtown San Diego to visit the famous Balboa Park with its 1,200 acres of urban park setting that houses over 85 cultural and recreational organizations including 15 museums. We will then stop by Little Italy which is a lovely neighborhood filled with restaurants, bars and pubs, perfect place for a night outting. Not to mention the famous Gaslamp Quarter. We will end our tour of downtown with a quick stop at Petco Park, Home of San Diego Padres.
Completing our Downtown visit, we will ride through the Embarcadero, where we will view the pier and multiple magnificient ships, including the famous Midway Aircraft Carrier.
We will end our tour at Old Town San Diego the “birthplace” of California. It was here in 1769 that Father Junipero Serra came to establish the first of 21 missions that were to be the cornerstones of California. Today Old Town San Diego still preserves the rich heritage from the period of 1821-1871. It also is home to award-winning restaurants, more than 150 shops, 17 museums and much more.

Booking was very easy. It took me three calls to get in touch to confirm but once I got a hold of the guide Rosanne, it was very smooth and helpful. The instruction on where to meet was very clear. The spots we were taken to were all so wonderful. Roxanne was SUPER!! I recommend this tour to anyone who visit San Diego :-)
Roxanne was the best tour guide! She took us to see so many amazing sights! La Jolla being my favorite! She was very Informative and lovely! We really enjoyed this tour a lot. We met some very nice people on the tour also!
We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable tour mini bus to beautiful La Jolla, Mt. Soledad, through the city, and gorgeous Coronado. Average 30 minutes each stop with restrooms available at most as well as additional snacks. We chose to end tab old Town where our guide Roxanne gave us a great recommendation for Mexican food. She as friendly and very accommodating to all visitors.
Roxane was the best tour guide I’ve ever had! I am a seasoned traveler and have taken many tours through cruise lines as well as tours in many cities. Roxane gave us a great tour of San Diego! I’ve e never had such personal attention from a tour guide. She encouraged us to text with any questions. I did later that evening and she got immediately got back to us! I can’t express enough how wonderful it was!
This tour was great and our driver guide was very informative. We enjoyed it.
We wanted an overview of San Diego so booked this tour, it was everything they said it would be. We were picked up in a 10-seater bus, comfortably air conditioned, with a lovely French driver/guide named Roxanne, she was courteous and friendly and very knowledgeable. We were greeted with a little bag containing water, a decent-sized packet of cashews/almonds, and a detailed itinerary. We went to Old Town to pick up passengers and then started our tour. We covered La Jolla and had 20 minutes to see the seals and take pictures, we then stopped at Mt. Soledad for 20 minutes to see the memorial. then visited Old Town and stopped there for 20 minutes, we went to Balboa Park for 20 minutes, Coronado Island for 30 minutes and then got off at the Gaslamp Quarter, because we wanted to explore it on our own. If you can, upgrade to include USS Midway and Seaport Village, it's worth it.
Small group, 5, friendly, relaxed, informative, just enough time, thourghly enjoyed it and recommend it!
For our first time in San Diego, my self and 3 adult children decided to take this tour to be able to see all the famous attractions that San Diego has to offer. Since we were only in town a few days, I wanted to get to see as much as possible in a day. We were pleasantly surprised to find out we were the only ones scheduled that day so our driver, Roxanne, let us pretty much dictate the day. We spent a few extras minutes here and a few less there and Roxanne was happy to allow us to take our time. What a great tour, we had such a wonderful day! We we able to see The Hotel Coranado, Embarcadero, Old Town, Gaslamp District, Little Italy. etc. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see San Diego in a day with a very informative, accommodating and friendly driver. Thanks Roxanne for a fantastic day!!!
A great way to get an overview of San Diego and see the highlights of the city in half a day! I recommend this tour if either you don't have a lot of time to see the city, or if you want to get an idea of the city and have more time to revisit the places you liked afterwards. If you want to spend quite a bit of time at each site, a hop on/hop off tour would better suit your needs.
The tour started off in Little Italy, then took us through stops in La Jolla, Mt. Soledad, Old Town, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, and finally ended in the Gas Lamp district. At each stop, you are allotted about 20-30 minutes to explore the area before heading to the next location.
I have nothing but great things to say about Roxane, our tour guide for the day, and also the owner of the tour company San Diego Rides and Tours. She's not a native of the city, but it doesn't make her any less knowledgeable about it. My mom has been to San Diego four times, and she still saw and learned something new on this tour. Roxane is friendly and was easy to communicate with to organize our pick-up and drop off points. It is evident that she is passionate about this business and the city, and it shows in her interactions with customers! Even after our tour was over, I was able to get in touch with her to get recommendations about other sites in the city. Thank you for the great experience, Roxane!
A fabulous tour with Roxanne. She was an absolute delight. Knowledgeable and friendly, we ended up with a tour just for the two of us and totally loved it. We saw sea lions and the neighborhood of La Jolla, the Old Town, Coronado hotel and beach and Gaslamp area. I would thoroughly recommend this tour and Roxanne. Thanks Roxanne, you macde our day perfect.
This was fun we just wished we could have taken this tour first but it was not offered on the day we wanted. This being said the tour was a great way to se the hi-lights of San Diego we were able to see the sea lions the Mt Soledad war memorial great view of La Jolla, old town and Coronado island along with a few other stops. We were able to get out and walk around for a short period of time. Our tour guide was great but unfortunately I cannot remember her name but she was originally from France as was quite knowledgeable about San Diego. This is a great trip to take when you first get to San Diego if it is available.
Fantastic tour , our guide was excellent and very informative. We visited many sights and had a great time learning about San Diego.
We loved our San Diego Tour! Our guide, Roxanne was so nice. She answered all our questions with great detail and very enthusiastically. She also made great recommendations regarding places to eat and see after the tour.
The tour was EXCELLENT! Little Italy, La Jolla, Mount Soledad, Balboa Park, Old Town, Coronado, Gaslamp Quarter. We had time to stop and look around everywhere. But Roxane of San Diego Ride and Tours was great. She was so informative and interesting. We learned so much about San Diego and enjoyed the tour immensely.
Roxanne, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about San Diego. She was very pleasant and a joy to be with Highly recommend this tour
Wow did we have a good time!! Never been to southern California and our guide was very informative and made us feel a part of the community. Highly recommend!! 5 Stars!!
Very knowledgeable tour guide, Roxanne. We were able to see different parts of SD. Of course we couldn't get to everything but for the amount of time we were on the tour we were able to see a lot.
There were only 2 of us booked for the tour so I was afraid it might be canceled. On top of that, Roxane had hurt her ankle the day before, but she gave us a wonderful tour. It was like having a private Uber driver for 4 hours! She would drop us off at scenic spots and let us walk around for 15-30 minutes and then pick us up. Parking around San Diego is awful, so it was nice not to have to worry about that. Roxane knew a lot of the history about the parts we saw and was able to answer all of our questions. She asked us what our favorite place was: we could not choose one because they were all so special. She did a great job of giving us an overview of the city.
We loved our San Diego Tour! Our guide, Roxanne was so nice. She answered all our questions with great detail and very enthusiastically. She also made great recommendations regarding places to eat and see after the tour. We were very fortunate to have a private tour with Roxanne as our family of 4 were the only people on the tour. I was concerned that the tour may be cancelled if the numbers were low, so we were very pleased to have Roxanne and her comfortable van all to ourselves.
I would highly recommend the San Diego Scenic Tour. Our guide was the best. Since it was just the two of us had a driver that would take us to all the best places, drop us off and come back to pick us up. Would tell us where to go and what to see. Very knowledgeable about the area. Was so nice and shared so much information about the area as we were driving around.
