Our guide Keith was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He kept us on a schedule so that we would hit the tour highlights at exactly the right time. There was a progressive "WOW" buildup during the Volcanoes National Park visit so that each site and view of the caldera got better and better. The star gazing was fantastic despite the cold (yes cold in Hawaii). It's a lot of driving around in the van but you get a sense of much of the island.
Our guide Kala was amazing. He was very accomodating and had a wealth of knowledge about his tour. We enjoyed all his stories. The lunch and dinner were also very good and tasty. The van was top notch - Mercedes Sprinter. Loved it because we didn't have to drive back to Kona in the dark!
Our tour guide, Kala was very knowledgeable about the island, the history, culture and customs. He not only gave us information about the sites we were visiting but was also a wealth of knowledge about the rest of the island as we were driving around the island. He made sure we were able to get plenty of great pictures and was excited as everyone on the tour that we were able to see lava. This was truly the best thing we did on our vacation on the island I would highly recommend.
Amazing!!!! The volcano tour was brilliant! Dan was our tour guide for the day and he was fantastic!! So knowledgeable and interesting. The day was great!!! Dan was awesome and showed us some really amazing sites. He even stopped on the way home, for us to stargaze. A must must do experience!!!
This was a wonderful trip. Our guide Chris was super. He was very personable and really knew a lot about the history of the Big Island and, specifically, about volcanoes. It was an absolutely great trip.
Drew was amazing. He was well informed and shared his knowledge with grat enthusiasm. I would highly recommend this excursion.
Great tour with professional and very nice guide Chris who is one of the best guides I have met. The tour covers nearly all must-see attractions in Big Island and the arrangement is good. Will definitely recommend this tour to friends playing visit to Hawaii.
This was amazing, the scenery the wildlife, yes we actually saw 6 Nene birds! and Drue was a great tour guide. Thanks for a wonderful day and amazing experiences.
Dreu was an incredible guide!!! Despite bad weather the day we had our tour, he did an excellent job of getting everyone up in adventurous spirits and put in the extra effort all day to make sure the group saw as much as possible!
Great tour, our guide Darian was enthuisiastic, a great wealth of knowledge on the Hawaian culture, history of Hawaii and the volcanic evolution, only critisism would be the advertising of the tour which does not give a true indication of the true weather conditions that can be encountered, Hilo area is the wettest part of Hawaii with rain almost every day which left most of the group under prepared.
But still well worth doing.
Great tour! Kala was just excellent. Incredibly knowledgeable. From Rainbow Falls, to the black sand beach to Volcanoes National Park.
His breadth of information just kept impressing us. He knew The Big Island, its history culture, flora, and fauna. We will ask for him again. And recommend him to our friends. Thanks.
Ehitu was a very fun, informative and knowledgeable local tour guide. The trip itself was fantastic, the highlight being that we got to see the lava dancing. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone.
Got to see a lot! Really helped highlight a chunk of the Big Island attractions. Tour guide (Ehitu) was entertaining and had great stories to tell! Highly recommend!
We were originally going to try and see these attractions on our own by driving round the island over a few days, but we are both so glad that we opted to take this tour instead. Our tour guide, Kala, was fantastic, his wealth of knowledge about the native people and the history of the islands really helped colour in the sights that we were seeing. It was a long day, the trip running to about 12 hours, but we fit in a lot of grade A sightseeing in that time, all of which came with terrific commentary from Kala. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
Nathaniel was very entertaining and the sites were amazing. It is a very compressed schedule, but a great option to hit some highlights of the whole island in a single day. The bento boxes were awesome! The dinner was at the park diner and was overrated and over priced. I would have liked another bento box better.
Our family of 3 went on this tour and all really enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Ehitu, was very nice, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I was a little concerned with the length of the tour 12 hours or so, but it did not seem like it at all. We saw so many sights and Ehitu told us the details of each including how to pronounce the words so we could remember it. This tour is much better than seeing it on your own. We would not have understood what we were looking at without a guide to point out different things to us. The food was delicious at both meals! We highly recommend it!
This was easily the best tour we have ever been on anywhere in the world. It lasted 12 to 13 hours and included excellent commentary from our guide, a local Hawaiian who takes amazing photographs of the lava flows. Unfortunately I have lost his contact details but he is most knowledgable and kept us informed every part of the trip. He is a very valuable asset to the company.

Very interesting and informative! Well worth the time and money! Our guide Kala was a wealth of information. Everyone in our family of six enjoyed this tour and would recommend!!
Five star tour. Great job. Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable and personable.
