Depart Las Vegas at 7am for your day tour to Death Valley. Your first stop will be the ghost town of Rhyolite, at the entrance to the National Park. This long abandoned gold mining community has been used as the set for many movies and documentaries.
You will then be driven down a beautiful winding highway and enter the center of Death Valley from the east; this is like entering a foreign and strange world of endless desert, vast valleys, harshly sculpted peaks and superbly adapted plants and animals formed over millions of years.
Death Valley, the driest, hottest climate imaginable is an immense, wild land that man has never tamed. Capture the view of the valley from Hell’s Gate, well above the valley floor and then visit Badwater at 282 feet below sea level.
You will also enjoy views and stops at Zabriskie’s Point, the Devil’s Golf Course, the Furnace Creek Museum, the Salt Lake, the Sand Dunes and Artists Pallet. The majestic mountains, colorful canyons, volcanic craters and salt pinnacles all make this trip a photographic-sightseers dream come true. For the truly adventurous, this tour is offered your-round!

Linda, our guide, did an excellent job moderating our mini-bus tour to Death Valley and surrounding points of interest. She provided plenty of historical, geographical, and plant/wildlife information to keep us thinking about something other than the unseasonably hot temperatures! We were more than pleased with our tour and the care we received.
Excellent trip with so much covered in one day. We got a taste of each aspect of Death Valley. Our driver/tour guide was knowledgeable of the area and interacted with each of us. Breakfast and lunch was included with plenty of stops, water and history of the area. The weather even cooperated.
This tour was awesome and relaxing. Tour guide was very informative and took good care to keep us hydrated. This tour takes you to one hot place but boy is it beautiful! It is a true small group tour, on our trip there was 4 of us from all over but we quickly made each other feel like we were with friends. Our tour guide kept us informed and knew so much about the area the history, the sites, wildlife etc. I never imagined there was so much to see in this area but it was amazing.
Great tour -- the sights in Death Valley NP make you feel like you are in a different world. The tour guide gave good explanation and allowed us to spend a good amount of time at each stop. We were there in late October and it was still in the 90s.
It was one of the best tour i enjoyed. My Guide was so gentle and helpful and knowledgeable....he made the tour a perfect one....we were only three people in that trip, so it was more likely a private tour to us....we enjoyed the tour and I m highly recommending this tour operator...:
5 stars! Tour guide, Clayton Bailey, was excellent. Trip estimated at 11 hours round trip was actually 11 hour round trip. Looking forward to having Clayton as NEXT tour guide. Learned TONS about Death Valley that I did not know before, way beyond the HUGE expanse that it is as a National Park. Clayton and I are both history nuts and he really knows his history of NV and Death Valley.
Nice mixture of other 3 tour participants and I do like these smaller group-tours .
Back for more trips via Viator in 2018!
This tour is simply awesome! Our tour guide Julian is very knowledgeable about all the geographical information of Death Valley which made the tour very interesting. He was punctual and gave us sufficient time to explore the sights. The lunch provided was good and the extra snacks given was very thoughtful.
I would highly recommend this tour if you haven't been to Death Valley as a 101 introduction to it.
We greatly enjoyed the Death Valley Tour. Dennis was timely with our pick-up and had the day well planned. He had a lot of interesting information and knowledge about the area and the sites. The provided lunch was pleasantly bigger than expected. The van was quite comfortable. We would definitely recommend the tour and Dennis.
Death Valley is surprisingly a not so commonly frequented site, but it offers a spectacular experience of the landscape which, at 282 feet below MSL is the lowest hottest and most dry place in North America. A day trip in comfortable minivan from Las Vegas is a must for those who love to see wonders of the nature.
An excellent tour. Our guide Mike was informative and friendly. The tour was well-paced. We managed to cover quite a few spots, Death Valley was simply amazing.
Death Valley is amazing place to visit. The tour guide Adam was fantastic, very professional, knowledgeable and taking care of all of us. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody who likes to see beautiful views and scenery.
A fantastic day. Bob was great . Very knowledgable and great sense of humour. We had a slight delay because of a problem with bus but is was resolved and the bonus was that we saw an amazing sunset. Would definitely recommend the trip .
I read many reviews after paying for this tour and I was really worried about choosing this. Just to let you know that this Death Valley Tour was hot and it is not a very pleasant place to be. Believe me when I say that any tour can be a great experience or a big disaster because of the driver/guide that is assigned. Larry was our driver/guide and he made this tour seem like we were visiting the greatest place on earth. He was so passionate and loved sharing all his knowledge about this god forsaken place He showed us how to appreciate what we saw. Best tour because we got the best guide.
The trip was just as described online. Our guide was amazing. He was well informed, interesting and entertaining. The scenery is one of a kind. Very comfortable and full n day!
Thanks Clayton for an amazing day!! We appreciated your promptness, knowledge and experience. You couldn't have been more thoughtful and kind!!
This tour was phenomenal. The guide was marvelous and the scenery was indescribable. It was one of the highlights of my vacation.
Although it was extremely hot, 111 degrees, this trip was worth the effort, time, and sweat. There are many different aspects to Death Valley that our guide, Mark, explained to us as we stopped at the various points of interest. I was amazed at all of the different landscapes in one park.
Didn't think I would enjoy touring a desert but was pleasantly wrong due to our very knowledgeable driver and tour guide Larry who kept us entertained and informed about the history of this great park.
Great tour guide, saw so much, great info, good lunch, water all day, really enjoyed the tour.
Absolutely BRILLIANT from start to finish, we would highly recommend! Our guide, Marty, was fantastic and really made the trip. Request him, he is awesome! The tour was informative and fun, we got to see great sights and were really well looked after. Water was constantly supplied, lots of restroom and food stops and a comfy air conditioned bus. Thank you so much, superb!
