Our tour guide (Shane?) was excellent. He really knew all about Kentucky and the thoroughbred breeding industry. He was also good for a laugh and added his little personal stories to the morning's tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest/connection to horses.
We live here in Lexington, but took our friends in from Philadelphia on this tour. We all really enjoyed it. Tour guide was incredible! His knowledge of horses and Lexington Horse Farms was amazing
We loved this tour. Visited small farms and really got up close to the horses. Our guide was so much fun. when we got back to the hotel another company was also coming in. The passengers there got off and said good by to their guide. our group almost all got off and gave our guie a big hug and we were all laughing. That about says it all
Shawn was our tour guide for this exclusive private horse farm tour in Lexington. He knew so much about the race horse industry, we were blown away. We loved that it was a small size tour and our guide had the inside scoop on all the breedrers.
The tour states it is between 2.5-3 hours in duration. We were back at the Embassy Suites in 2.5 hours after stopping at a BBQ restaurant for ice cream. This stop was not mentioned in the ad and any food/drink ordered was paid for by the guest (not included in the cost of the tour as others tours I’ve taken). This was an additional cost that I was not expecting. The tour itself was awesome! We were able to go inside 3 horse barns - but due to rain., we we were unable to pet the horses at the 4th
