The tour service was great. One of the best activities we planned . We were warned by the tour operator that there had not been a lot of action the last few trips, but the whales must have decided that they wanted to show off that morning as it was none stop sitings from just simple blow holes, to showing their tails to a full breach! We loved it. Would definately recommend this tour.
We wanted to whale watch and we were not disappointed! We saw a mother whale and her calf, and since, according to the boat's whale expert, a calf surfaces to breath much more frequently than an adult whale, we saw them quite often during our two-hour tour. The ship's whale expert was very informative. We didn't opt for the lunch, so no comment there.
We were sad when we didn't see any whales, but were given a voucher to make another cruise. We were not disappointed on the 2nd trip out. So exciting. We saw a whale breech in front of our boat.
Tour was 2 hours long and we saw a few whales, including one that spy hopped. Since Hawaiian law requires boat to keep 100 yards away from the whales, bring your telephoto and binoculars. Also, bring heavy coats since it is windy out there.
This was a outstanding tour! From the great crew and hosts to the food chicken, fish, plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit to the beautiful scenery - yes we saw whales - everything was top notch. Highly recommend!
It was a great day. The crew were extremely nice and professional, not stuffy. We saw 6-7 whales and the Captain always ensured to point the bow at the whales. Didn't see any dolphins, but that's not what the cruise is about. Its whales and we did see quite a few. Wish Captain could have gotten closer. Great Day on the water.
Excellently organized ,all on time including hotel pick up ,had light lunch ,informative crew and yes we did see some whales! Wonderful
A great morning on the water, saw whales and dolphins. Staff on board were very friendly.
It was awesome. So much fun. I will do it again the next time I go to Hawaii.
I had a great time on my tour. We saw so much that day and our tour guide, Steve, kept us going so that we could see many things. He also worked around the rain so we didn't get too wet. It was a wonderful tour and I will recommend it to anyone.
Great day, we saw whales. As we started to head back to shore the whales started to play giving us a performance of breaching, chin slapping etc, we had a great captain who turned the boat back so that we were able to watch.
Saw some Dolphins that came really close to the boat and a humpback whale! Informative and fun :)
Everything went smoothly. Saw a number of whales and enjoyed the presentation.
Weather was good... Lunch was fantastic.... Crew were fantastic.... The wales decided to show us they were alive...I was able to get many personal pictures with my camera but still purchased 3 that the professional guy took. 4 years ago we took the submarine trip by the same company... They both were fantastic....It was worth every dollar of the tour...
The craft was in excellent condition and the crew very accommodating. The meal was very well prepared and presented. The day was perfect and the views beautiful. It was an extra special pert to actually get to see a couple of whales and many spouts!
Trip was awesome- loved being by the naturalist and learning so much. Photphrpher at entrance was great- she posed my sister and myself and we had a great time.
While in Oahu I went whale watching three times, the first was on this tour and it was by far the absolute best ... closer to the action, much more responsive boat to what was going on around us, the on-board naturalist was very knowledgeable. The ship was clean and very well kept, we had a beautiful sailing day so the water was fairly calm. We saw whales though unfortunately none breached, we did see plenty of action watching two mothers with their calves. Even though we kept the legal distance from the whales, we had the experience of them coming close to us to check us out three different times ... doesn't get any better! This cruise was on the Navatek and I thought it far superior to the Star of Honolulu cruise which I took later in the week (not through Viator). The whales tended to cavort in the waters off Diamondhead and I hope that any of you who book this cruise enjoy it as much as I did!!
