Pass By: Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland, Oregon
Pioneer Courthouse Square, located in the heart of Downtown Portland, is a public space hosting more than 300 programmed events each year. With more than 26,000 people visiting the Square each day, it is the single most visited site in the city. The Square’s features include the Waterfall Fountain, built of granite; sixteen columns with classical pillars topped with carved yellow roses on which crawl pink-and-green spotted bugs; and two brick amphitheaters which provide seats for events.
Stop At: Pittock Mansion, Portland, Oregon
Built in 1914, Pittock Mansion tells the story of Portland’s transformation from pioneer town to modern, industrialized city through the history and legacy of one its most influential families, the Pittocks. Saved from demolition by dedicated citizens in 1964, the Mansion and surrounding estate was purchased by the City of Portland and opened to the public as a historic house museum.

Stop At: International Rose Test Garden, Portland, Oregon
One of the city’s signature landmarks, located in beautiful Washington Park, Portland’s largest official rose garden is home to more than 10,000 roses including 650+ rose varieties. From May through October, you can stroll amongst the lovely blooms, breathe in the delightful smells, and enjoy the spectacular views of downtown and Mount Hood.

Pass By: Pearl District, Portland, Oregon
Loading docks and cobblestone streets hint at this former warehouse district’s past, while stylish bars and gleaming lofts point toward the future. The Pearl District was formerly occupied by warehouses, light industry, and railroad classification yards and now noted for its art galleries, restaurants, upscale businesses, and high-rise residences along with lofts that were converted from warehouses.
Pass By: Northwest (Nob Hill), Portland, Oregon
The neighborhood surrounding stylish Northwest 23rd Avenue offers an abundance of terrific shopping and choice eats. In the Northwest neighborhood (also known as Nob Hill or the Alphabet District), century-old Victorian and Craftsman-style storefronts housing unique boutiques stand alongside national retailers, interspersed with coffee shops and on-trend restaurants and bars. In short, it’s a shopper’s paradise.
Stop At: Lan Su Chinese Garden, Portland, Oregon
Lan Su Chinese Garden is one of Portland's greatest treasures. Built by Chinese artisans from our sister city Suzhou (home of China's famous ancient gardens), it's among the most authentic Chinese gardens outside of China. Much more than just a beautiful garden, Lan Su is a creative wonder—a powerfully inspiring experience based on a 2,000-year-old Chinese tradition that melds art, architecture, design and nature in perfect harmony.
Once inside the garden's walls, you'll feel as if you've traveled through time to another era in a faraway world. Lan Su is a window into Chinese culture, history and way of thinking. Ever changing, Lan Su always has something new to offer—by the minute, by the hour, and with the seasons. Enter the wonderland.

Half day tour of the city of Portland was chock full of information. The price included admission to the Pittock Mansion and the Japanese Gardens.
Quick and convenient way to see the city highlights. The tour stops at three major sights of the city and allows enough time to explore them.
Sarah was good tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about city. We went Pittman Mansion and Chinese Garden. Good short tour of city. If you are limited on time, this would be a excellent way to see/learn about Portland, OR.
Our Tour guide Eddie was Awesome! He is welcoming, knowledgeable, and a great driver!
Absolutely super. The tour guide Johnny picked us up at our hotel and showed us the city. He has an enveiable sense of humor and lots of Portland knowledge. The weather was cold with snow no problem for Johnny. He showed us the city as if it was a summer day. I recommend the tour.
I spent a wonderful afternoon with a very personable tour guide and nice small group 7. After having been in meetings all week this was a great way to see Portland and hear some great stories and commentary.
Great tour. I got a personal tour since nobody else signed up. Had a great time. Please support this tour. The staff is great!
Though the weather was not very pleasant, all day rain, Jeri managed to show us all the important places in city tour at Portland.
I strongly recommend this tour group for those who are in the city for a short time.
Very knowledgeable guide. Loved seeing the sights and learning about Portland.
Enjoyed seeing the various sights. We had a great tour guide I completely forgot her name . Lots of historic information about the city, as well as recommendations of other countries things to see and do.
The garden stops were beautiful. However, the tour guide was not very knowledgeable about Portland, not a native. Too many random circling of city blocks for non-tourist spots.
Carrie did an excellent job teaching us about Portland -- past and present. Carrie is knowledgeable, and obviously loves the city. We visited its most iconic spots -- the enormous Portlandia sculpture, and the Pittock Mansion -- a gorgeous home built by a newspaper editor who started out with nothing, and which boasted stunning views of the city and mountains. We had plenty of time to tour the mansion and its lovely grounds -- a magnificent spot to take pictures. We spent time at the International Portland Rose Garden, where the roses were just beginning to bloom. So fragrant and lovely. We drove through Washington Park, a lush green space. We went past the famed Voodo Doughnut store, and the impressive Powell's City of Books -- a must see for visitors to Portland! We had time to appreciate the beauty and history of the city, finishing up with a visit to the serene Lan Su Chinese Garden. This is a real oasis in a busy city, where we had the chance to relax and enjoy the tranquility offered by the ponds and flowers and waterfalls. There were plenty of rest stops and opportunities to stretch our legs and visit the attractions offered on this tour. We highly recommend this Best of Portland City Tour.
I booked the tour online the night before, it was simple to do. Our guide, Isaac called to let us know when he would pick us up at the hotel. The tour was fun, Isaac provided lots of relevant information along the way and was able to answer any questions asked. He was extremely personable and outgoing and provided a fun experience. I would definitely recommend trying to get him as your guide.
This tour was a perfect overview of the many sights Portland has to enjoy. Our guide, Carrie, was informative and fun. If you've never been to Portland then this is tour for you.
This tour was a great way to spend the afternoon seeing Portland. Toured the Chinese gardens, the mansion on top of the hill overlooking the city, and drove through the rose garden. The roses were not in bloom, so there wasn't much to see there. The tour guide was great!
Great tour. Portland is a wonderful city and this tour was three hours that flew by quickly. A real treat!
Our tour guide Clem Ogilby, was absolutely fantastic. Picked out the perfect places to view in this half day city tour. We got a birds eye view of Portland which is a very diversified city.
Great way to get oriented in the city while seeing a lot of the sights. So much easier than trying to do it all on your own and a lot more fun due to an entertaining guide.
