Returns to original departure point
Meet your guide at the The American Hotel, conveniently located one block away from Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. Start with a detailed orientation to the Segway and have time to practice and get comfortable with the controls. When you’re ready, step onto the Segway and follow your guide through Midtown Atlanta.
Cruise past the tall towers of the Midtown business district followed by the stately homes of Ansley Park, with architectural styles that include Tudor, Craftsman and Italian Renaissance. Nearby, wheel through part of Piedmont Park, a large green space with miles of paved walking and biking paths, ample event space, picnic areas and playgrounds.
Pause with your small group in front of the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum to hear more about the Atlanta journalist who lived here, where she wrote her famous novel Gone With the Wind. Just across the street, your guide points out the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, which features a free museum with exhibits about the history of money and a glimpse of automated forklifts that move piles of dollars around the bank vaults. Not far away you see the campus of a top research university: Georgia Institute of Technology.
Roll a little further to admire the ornate Moorish design of the Fox Theater, a favorite venue for live entertainment. Nearby, you find the Midtown restaurant district and learn from your guide about some of the best spots to eat and drink in the hopping neighborhood. Wind your way back to your starting point, passing Centennial Olympic Park, home of the 1996 Summer Olympics, Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola.
With the ease of the Segway, you get a fun spin around Midtown while enjoying frequent stops to take in the sights and hear about Atlanta’s history from your knowledgeable guide before returning to the original start point.

Segway was easy to learn and easy to use. Tour of mid-town was well done, not rushed. Tour guide was John. We found him to be both personable and knowledgeable. Excellent way to spend the afternoon in Atlanta.
This was a long tour for the price. John and CK were our guides and half way through they split us 9 into 2 groups and we stayed with John. My friend had never ridden a Segway before and was a little worried. She has 2 titanium knees and needed to stop once just to sit for a minute. John was very accomodating that way. They also did more training than most Segway shops this was my 6th or 7th time. Safety was stressed and they pointed out things along the way in that regard. The sites were nice and John's knowledge was thorough, his attitude good and demeanor very upbeat. CK was also upbeat and a great guy.
Laura was a great tour guide. In 2 hours we rode 8 miles in Atlanta-saw and learned lots! A must do Atlanta experience!
Can't fault this tour in any way. Guides were fantastic in showing everyone how to use the Segway. Then travelled around the town with very informative information about all the sites we saw. Actually took all three tours during the 10 days I was there. Recomnend it to all that travel to Atlanta.
Fantastic experience - riding through the down, across streets, weaving through pedestrians. We felt like we got into the nooks and crannies of Atlanta. How do you take a bunch of senior citizen types like us and get them all very comfortable on a segway pretty darn fast and then have them whisking all over town? Try this - and you'll find out! We're hooked - wonderful fun!
It was a good tour to take before going to the main attractions in Atlanta, just to know where things are and where to go. CK was our tour guide and he was alot of fun and energetic! I actually went to the Fox theater and saw a show after he showed and explained it to us. I am in love with the pencil building in Atlanta now that I know the story behind it. Thanks CK
Laura ensured that we had a very enjoyable tour around Atlanta. We started with about 30mins of practise, which was very important to those of us who were very nervous and had never been on a Segway - don't be nervous, Laura gave me the confidence to start the tour, even if I was not confident. We started slowly with a tour of the Olympic park both to get into the sites as well as gain confidence. We have hen set off on a long tour of midtown seeing all the sites and getting a great commentary as we went round. Three hours later we we finished with a great recommendation for a place to have a cold beer. Not often do I go home with a large smile on my face, but it's still there
A great experience. Friendly, knowledgeable guide. Excellent instruction provided for new segway riders- plenty of time to practice and a lot of attention to be sure the ride was fun and safe. A cool way to see many neighborhoods up close!
Lots of Fun great experience. Only wish I would have done this when I first got to Atlanta. Lots of places that they showed me to go and do.
Highly recommended. Steve was awesome. First he took his time to ensure everyone was comfortable on the segway before heading off. Was very considerate to let the group know when we were stopping, turning and what to watch out for. Did an amazing tour of the city with some great insight in to some of the city's history. If you have never done a segway tour before, you will love it!
My son and I had a blast!! .... even though it started raining about half way through the tour. We were all given the option of continuing on or returning to the office. We all chose to press on. We were provided rain ponchos which really helped keep our head to our knees pretty dry. We even stopped at a Starbucks to let the rain let up a bit and grab a cup of coffee. Laura was our tour guide and she made the whole experience a lot of fun. She was so friendly, told us a lot about the city and took pictures of our adventures. My son and I had never been on a Segway prior to this tour. The instructions and hands on training were great. Laura was very attentive the entire tour. I can't wait to go on another tour of the city!
Great Segway tour covering a lot of interesting places and easy to navigate roads.
Laura was a great and patient guide.
It was so much fun and we saw a lot of Atlanta that we wouldn't have seen if we hadn't gone on this tour and riding the Segways was a blast
So much fun! Great way to tour Atlanta Midtown. Guides are friendly, knowledgeable and fund!! We had a great time!
The Segway tour through Atlanta was a blast! We went by Centennial Park, the Coca-Cola word, through Virginia Tech Campus, through midtown, and through some neighborhoods with gorgeous older houses. Would highly recommend this tour to see Atlanta and have a little fun while there!
My boyfriend and I came to Atlanta for just one evening. We were not sure what we wanted to visit while we were in town. We decided on the Segway-Midtown tour. It was AWESOME!! We got to see everything we wanted and then some. The tour guides were friendly and they were a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this tour. Next time I visit I would take this tour again!
This tour was well worth it! Dylan is a great tour guide with patience to work with those who have no experience of riding a Segway. I plan to take a Segway tour at every city I visit and hope my experience will be just as great as this one! Thanks ATL Segway Tour!
