Pass By: Tangol, Calle Defensa 831 - San Telmo, Buenos Aires 1005 Argentina

Full-Day Tour (8 hours)
Meet your guide in central Buenos Aires, and start your Delta adventure by listening to a little history about the development and expansion of Buenos Aires through the years. With your guide, board the boat at Puerto Madero and head to Tigre.
Half-Day Tour (4 hours)
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in either the morning or afternoon (depending on option selected) or, if your hotel is out of the pickup area, meet your guide in central Buenos Aires.

Pass By: Delta El Tigre, Tigre Argentina

Full-Day Tour (8 hours)
Cruise along the Costanera Navigation Canal, parallel to the Buenos Aires shoreline, passing the River Plate Stadium and the University of Buenos Aires.
Then, cruise through the canals of the delta, one of the largest in the world. Discover how the inhabitants of the delta turned it from a swampy area into a developed region with grass paths and canals of fresh water. Pass yacht clubs, waterfront houses on stilts, a market, and the house and museum of former Argentina president Sarmiento, who encouraged people to make their homes here.
In Tigre, hop on a bus, where you'll head to Puerto de Frutos. Here, follow your guide to the port that connects life on the islands with the mainland. It’s a lively and popular spot where you’ll have some time to take photos and walk around. You can also grab a bite to eat (own expense).
Next, visit Paseo Victoria where you'll have a chance to ato visit various museums including Museo del Mate, Naval Museum or Tigre and Art Museum (tickets not included).
Finally, head to the Tigre train station, where you will take a train back to the city of Buenos Aires. After approximately one hour, you will arrive to the Retiro train station, where your tour ends.
Half-Day Tour (4 hours)
On board a comfortable coach, ride along Costanera Avenue, parallel to the Rio de la Plata, and head out of the city center to San Isidro.
See its cathedral and the many mansions inhabited by old aristocratic families before continuing on to Tigre. Here, board a catamaran for a 40-minute cruise through the delta. See how people live on the islands and interact with floating services: the supermarket boat, water taxi and more. See the homes built on stilts and President Sarmiento’s home/museum.
At the end of the boat ride, return to port to re-board your coach for the drive back to Buenos Aires, where you tour ends downtown at either 1pm or 6pm (approx.).

Pick up at selected hotel on time, nice trip to Tigre. Maybe a 5 min stop in San Isidro just to take a picture would be great. The guide was repeating same things in Spanish Portuguese and English.. Amazing!!!

My wife and I had an extra day in BA before heading home, and decided to take the half-day tour on the Tigre Delta. Even though the reviews looked all positive, I was not setting high expectations. However I have to say, both my wife and I fully enjoyed this tour! The driving tour up to the Delta was fun and informative. The Delta cruise was amazing! To see how these people live out there on the Delta, the houses / villas, the abandoned ships rusting away, ... all of it, was worth a repeat. We highly recommend it.

This trip via Sturla was certainly worth the time and cost. Informative and relaxed. Not rushed and time for lunch and wine. The train ride gives you a different view of the local lifestyle.

A wonderful experience. The local company were late in picking us up, but we were quickly on our way in a fairly small passenger van. Once we reached the Tigre river, we transferred to a waiting boat, along with other groups, and sailed around the islands of the Tigre. All in all, a nice half day excursion.

Carlo was an amazing guide who explained the historical, artistic and cultural significance of what I was seeing. He went at an easy pace and was extremely personable. I appreciated his excellent English. The boat ride was extremely interesting as it went through neighborhoods. Tigre is also interesting. I enjoyed the art museum. Carlos was well organized and helpful in every way. This was a great day trip from Buenos Aires.

Highly recommended tour for anyone visiting Buenos Aires. A nice trip to getaway from the busy city life and check out the rural existence of Argentina. We did the half day tour due to time restrictions, but a day tour will be a nice pleasant experience. Our tour guide provided lots of information during the tour and was pretty good with English.
You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

We used this tour to fill in half a day before flying home. We thought it was very enjoyable - relaxing and interesting. The bus ride there was very good and the cruise was good with a cup of coffee and snack - all that was needed. The weather was good which all helped and I would recommend it

This trip is great time! Side note: this review is on the full day tour option It is a wonderful opportunity to see life outside of Buenos Aires and in the unique context of an area which uses rivers as roadways and byways. This unique experience begins at the boat terminal which you have to get to yourself we used the subway and walked about 6 blocks where you take a 90 mins-2 hour narrated boat ride up the coast of Buenos Aires into the mouth of the Rio de La Plata. It gives you a wonderfully relaxing opportunity to look how the islanders live, where boats are used as cars, similar to Venice. Once you arrive in Tigre, your tour guide takes you on a walking tour of the city and then lets you off on your own to eat lunch and shop at numerous handmade boutique stores. After meeting back up with your guide, you hop on the local tour bus and visit 7 locations around the city. You have the option of stopping at any one of the locations, but only one due to time constraints. We stopped at the French designed art museum which was an awesome location for pictures. It is a beautiful city and a really relaxing bus tour. At the end of the bus tour, you get off at the Tigre train station. The local commuter train runs every 12 minutes so we ended up taking a few pictures on the city's only two bridges which were really great spots. The train ride back into the city was really awesome you get to see some of more parts of Buenos Aires you wouldn't otherwise get to see in addition to the president's residence.

We highly recommend this day adventure!

We really enjoyed this unique trip. The boat ride was enjoyable and our tour guide was very informative. Loved seeing the houses on stilts and the school bus boat. We had some time on our own in Tigre to do some shopping and grab a bite to eat, and then we visited the art museum. We were a small group of 5 from a variety of backgrounds. The train ride back was also enjoyable as we were serenaded.
