32 km away from the city of Buenos Aires, a wonderful gateway into nature is found - Tigre and the Paraná River delta area. We offer a full-day bike trip that includes a delta kayaking excursion. The cycling tour of Tigre, the delta area and the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires offers a wide range of possibilities to combine both sport and culture in a beautiful setting. The region is easily accessed by train - part of the way, - and then by bike through the northern suburbs, arguably the nicest area of all of Buenos Aires (2 to 3 hours ride). The final destination, Tigre and its nearby islands, is definitely worth the journey to take one of the most fascinating

La Esquina del Antigourmet
Returns to original departure point
Meeting in “La Esquina del Anti-Gourmet” (Ravignani 2120), we begin our bike tour with a thorough orientation, introducing you to the city, tour specifics, your bicycle, and each other. Pointing our front tire North, we pedal through the beautiful “lung of Buenos Aires,” a 65 hectare public park spaces known as Los Bosques de Palermo. Arriving at our train stop, we board only for a few stops to avoid heavy traffic that’s entering the city.
We get off at the La Lucila station and it’s just a quick pedal to reach the River Plate Coastline. There you’ll capture the jagged city skyline from a distance. Stretched and ready to ride, we enjoy the many beautiful parks that line the river’s edge. This is where we’ll do most of our riding with fewer stops.
We eventually go up a hill so we can ride through the architecturally astounding neighborhoods of San Isidro….
Tigre Puerto de Frutos
Kayak Experience with Lunch
Our tour ends back at our meeting point in Palermo (Plaza Italia) where we recapture the day and suggest some BA must do’s. Lasting approximately 8 hours, we try follow many bike trails and stop around 15 times to drink and learn about Yerba Mate, take photos, eat delicious asado and enjoy a fun, creative and informative tour led by expert bilingual guides.
*Note- This tour is not for everyone. It is for those who are confident cycling in urban settings. Although we ride more than half of the tour on bike trails it also includes parts in which we cycle alongside car traffic. The total distance is 30km (19mi). For less experienced riders we recommend checking out our Heart of the City and Parks & Plaza tours.
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Medium difficulty: This is the most “sporty” of the biking tours, but have no fear - these one day tours are still peaceful and relaxing. You need, however, to be confident rider, and able to use a kayak.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers
