Tour concludes in downtown Buenos Aires (approx. 15-minute taxi ride to cruise ship port)
After your cruise ship docks in Buenos Aires, relax on a shore excursion with an informative coach tour. As you listen to commentary from your knowledgeable guide, enjoy the drive through the most interesting neighborhoods.
Stop at Plaza de Mayo, the political center of the city, to admire Casa Rosada, where the Argentine president holds office. Photograph the pink exterior of the impressive building before you see more sights in the square, including the Cabildo (town hall) and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Next, head to Teatro Colón, a stunning opera house built between 1889 and 1908. The theater stands near Plaza de la República, a square on Avenida 9 de Julio where you can see the Obelisco de Buenos Aires (Obelisk of Buenos Aires), a 1936 monument to honor the foundation of the city.
Then drive through the waterfront district of Puerto Madero on your way to the neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. See its many attractions, including Dorrego Square, where you should keep your eyes open for spontaneous tango performances -- San Telmo is the center of tango in Buenos Aires. If your tour occurs on a Sunday, you'll visit San Telmo's weekly antiques market.
Continue to La Boca, Buenos Aires' most colorful neighborhood, where a European atmosphere has remained strong since the neighborhood was settled by Italian immigrants. The district is a major attraction for the brightly painted buildings on the Caminito, the neighborhood's main (pedestrianized) drag where you'll hop off the coach to go for a stroll and see local artists selling their work.
Back on your coach, head to one of the city's largest districts, Palermo, where you'll drive through Palermo Woods. The city's largest park, Palermo Woods is home to many attractions, including the Buenos Aires Zoo, Plaza Italia and Galileo Galilei Planetarium.
Finally, arrive in Recoleta, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city, with its renowned Recoleta Cemetery (where Eva Peron is interred), elegant shops and open-air cafes. After the tour, you'll make your own way back to the Buenos Aires cruise port.
This excursion concludes within a 15-minute taxi ride to the cruise port, so you determine the time you return to your ship in Buenos Aires. Please allow yourself ample time to enjoy the excursion and ensure your timely return to the port. This excursion is not covered by our worry-free policy.

Excellent tour despite torrential rain, very prompt pick up , tour guides spoke very good English .
Fantastic tour taking in the major sights in BA. Loved the pictures you made of us in the tango and soccer stadium. Only bought the tango one but wish I had both! The tour guide was great! Should have a bigger sign at the pick up that says Viatour! We could not confirm due to no internet but it all worked out. Got the email message the day before about the time change
We enjoyed this tour but was very disappointed that we did not actually visit La Recoleta Cemetary. On the itinerary it says you can finish there, or in a shopping centre, or restaurant area at the new docks....but when I queried this the guide says it wasn't in the itinerary and we could either finish at the shops or restaurant area. La Recoleta was one of the places we really wanted to visit, and that's what we expected on this tour. As we were sailing on our cruise later that afternoon, we didn't have time to go ourselves to see it!
Just returned from our 4 week trip to South America and I must say this was the worst tour of out trip.
The tour director was so impersonal. She didn't even say hello when we boarded the bus.Absolutely no personality. I was so glad my husband and I went to see Recoleta Cemetary the day before the tour because we drove by on this tour so fast I never even caught a glimpse of it. The two stops we made were not interesting. Many people were confused about our trip back to the trip, and even though I knew we were suppose to find our own way back, it was still a shock to many of the older people who are use to getting a lift back to the ship .
The ship was late 2 1/2 hrs in letting us off and we missed the tour. Had to hire a taxi to take us around
Absolute would never use them and would not advise anybody else to use them the reason being they never even turned up we waited for around 30 minutes after the scheduled pickup time and no show we were disgusted so we lost our money and had to get the hop on hop off which was very good
The pick up was 45 minutes late dispite three telephone calls. The trip was ok around the city.
The tour was very informative and covered most tourist highlights in the city.
Good overview of Buenos Aires but would have liked more "photo" stops.
While BA is a beautiful city, our Tangol tour was conducted in three languages. The guide indicated that was the way they always did it even though we had bought the "English" tour. We didn't understand most of what she said and also spent most of the time in the least desirable areas. Horrible!!
The tour operator picked us up at the cruise terminal, however they refused to take us back to ship at the end of tour.
They said tour ended downtown, we were responsible to find our own way back to the ship. That is not what we contracted for. Very disappointed in your service.
Tour was great and gave an excellent overview of the city. Guide was very knowledgeable. I was happy that my first experience booking with Viator was a pleasant one with no problems
Book this tour in the U.K. prior to departing on the Queen Victoria .We were met at the cruise terminal at 9 am the tour was very good the guide spoke perfect English
We requested a drop off in down town, and she gave me the correct addresses for the cruise terminal for our taxi return to the ship.
Our pick up from the port was late. We were not transported in a coach. We were transported in a cramped minivan. We were dropped off at 12.30pm. We were NOT dropped back to the cruise ship terminal but instead the Guide told us we would be dropped ‘near the cruise terminal’. When we left the tour and the Guide told us it was a 20 minute walk to the cruise terminal and also told us to follow the road and we wouldn’t miss it or we could catch a taxi. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. We soon discovered that the area we were walking in was a very undesirable area and we felt our personal safety was at risk. We felt that we were treated very badly by the Guide and tour operator and we would not recommend a tour by Tangol to anyone.
The tour itself also left a lot to be desired because the Guide spoke in Portuguese to some Brazilian passengers and then in English to the remainder of passengers. By the time the English translation had been made we had passed the point of interest. We only got out of the mini bus twice and for the remainder of the time we were not given any opportunity to take photos.
This has to be one of the worst Viator tours we have taken.
All was good, but one suggestion: to make more stops for photos - let them (stops) be even very short. We have seen lots of fine parks and other places worth of making pictures of them, but bus was going further and we were bound to head-swinging (look on left - look on right - look on left... and so on). Tried making pictures through the bus' window - but not always had time...
We were not very fortunate as it was raining off and on for our cruise tour in Buenos Aires. Our tour was not only for cruise participants and the other tour members had to wait for the ten members from the ship. This was not fair to the other groups. Our guide, Melissa, seemed to cater to the non cruise group. Worse, she did NOT have the tour stop at the Recoletta Cemetary where Evita Peron is buried. Despite the light rain, the tour group should have been given a choice to visit the cemetery or remain on the bus. Melissa didn't even give any information. We went back later by cab to view this significant location. Near the end of the tour, Melissa was giving choices about where people could end their tour but ignored one couple far beyond the location she said she could let them off. This was my first disappointing tour with Viator
The tour guide we have are not very good, may be 3 hours for the whole city is too short. Instead please extend this sightseeing tour in future to 4 hrs at least, and charge the price a bit higher. We didn't stop at Recoleta, just drive through, which is a prime tourist spot. Also the time at the Presidential Office as shown in this photo do not have enough time either. Would rather advise future tourists to take their Hop On and Off bus. The guide only speak to the tourist at front of coach, we want to ask questions but no chance at all, she only entertain their Spanish speaking guests.
We were met just outside the port terminal on time and led to the bus down the street. We then sat for an hour waiting for the tour to begin. It would have been better if the guide had informed us of the reason for the delay rather than just let us sit there. Several people got quite angry and when she tried to apologize, one man in particular was so rude she's started crying. One of the passengers calmed her down and we were finally able to start what turned out to be a lovely, informative tour. I suppose the only way to avoid the delay would be to have a strict departure time but seems unfair too. Our guide was very good and she handled herself well after we got started.
