We booked this trip primarily as my mom is getting much older (she's 83) and has always wanted to see/go to Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf. We booked this and it was just the right amount of activity for her.
We started the tour by going to Sugarloaf - which was the right thing to do as at that time, Christ the Redeemer looked cloudy. At Sugarloaf, we had enough time to look around, take pictures and immerse ourselves in the vistas.
Soon after we wen to Corovado - Christ the Redeemer. This was the highlight of mom's trip here to Brazil. One thing to note, the elevators were NOT working, so the walk up to the monument took some time for mom - so beware that if you have trouble climbing stairs, to take your time and drink water. My mom eventually made it up and we spent a good 15 minutes at the top of the monument to take pictures, etc.
Manuela, our guide was great...she was engaging, high energy and multi-lingual. We had a mix of English, Spanish and Portuguese speakers on our tour and she was very comfortable in all those languages!
Both Manuela and the driver, were kind and took a little bit of extra care to make sure that my mom was comfortable and safe getting in and out of the mini-tour bus. I will definitely recommend this tour, tour company and Manuela.
Our guide, Patricia, was very helpful and very friendly. She made everyone feel very comfortable and gave us enough time to take pictures and also enjoy each site. The tour was not rushed and definitely worth it.
Fantastic 360 degree view of Rio a must on everyone's bucket list
Carnival time so lines were long but wait was worth it
Our cruise ship arrived late, so we had to take a taxi to catch up with our tour. The operator did all that was possible to accommodate us, but couldn't hold up the other customers indefinitely. It was a very nice tour. The English of our guide could use a little improvement.
Manuela was our tour guide and she was great explaining and getting us to the area on time. Also, she had recommendations and gave us good info. The views and sites were amazing. The company gave us a full tour upgrade and it included lunch, which was really good. Good time and day well spent. Loved this tour.
Good value for our spend and it covered the two main attractions quickly. Tour group was small and efficient. For first timers, this would be the way to go. If you know your way around, probably best you do it on your own.
Amazing tour. Very friendly tour guide who stood in line on our behalf and saved us from waiting in long lines. Great views from both sites and a very efficient tour - saved us plenty of time and we were able to do both the sites in sufficient time in only one day!
An excellent tour of the most iconic sights in Rio. Good, informative guide. Pick up on time. Comfortable mine bus.
Sufficient time at both places. Would recommend this half day tour for anyone with a limited stay in Rio.
This was a superb trip. Despite being outside the main hotel district we were at Argentina Hotel in Flamengo, we were picked up at our hotel, which was much appreciated. Manuela, our guide, was excellent and multilingual, giving commentaries in English, Spanish and Italian. The weather was perfect on the day we went, and we had great views of Rio from both Christ the Redeemer and the Sugar Loaf. My personal highlight was seeing marmosets on the Morro de Urca on the way down from the Sugar loaf - Manuela knew exactly where to find them and saved the best till last. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide Manuela Onofre was excellent! Joyful and energetic. She picked us up at the cruise port during Carnival - not easy considering all the road blockages - and got us to both of these wonderful Rio sights. The weather was perfect so our views from Christ the Redeemer were spectacular. She was knowledgeable and allowed us ample time to wander but still managed to keep an eye on all of us so it never felt like we were being herded around. You only really need 45 minutes at these sights unless you want to stop and have a coffee at the coffee shops so the tour length is perfect. Only minor down side was the van air conditioning broke and it was quite stuffy in the van. But it was Rio and it's hot everywhere - it did not spoil our experience.
This tour takes care of seeing two of the world's greatest sites in one day. The tour guide's English wasn't the best but he spoke enough to keep us in order and on time. He was friendly and knew quite a bit about each site.
Our morning pick up was on time and very friendly welcome. Our guide Manuela was absolutely awesome the entire time. She spoke English, Portuguese and Italian seamlessly. She was knowledgeable about the sites and also the best with maneuvering lines and sites. Manuela provided us with a great experience touring both Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf giving great advice on the best vantage point for pictures, great views and enjoying the attractions. Rio was beautiful and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get the important sites in without spending the entire day in long lines and boring tours.
Our guide, Ilda, was awesome! She told us about what we were seeing and what neighborhood/area we were in as we traveled to the sights and gave tips for getting the best views and pictures. We asked for a good restaurant near our hotel as we were getting dropped off, so not only did she get us some great food, she helped get us a discount there as well.
Manuela was the best guide we could've asked for! She was so nice and so helpful. She taught us so much about Rio. We will recommend her to all of our friends coming to Rio. She was great and made our tour unforgettable! Thank you so much Manuella
Love the view and the background information of the Christ the Redeemer and the mountain. Informative and efficient tour.
It was wonderful! Our guide was very knowledgeable and his English was clear. He made some great recommendations that allowed us to get great pictures before the weather changed drastically. Highly recommended!
