We were a little apprehensive at first, but we were so glad we choose to do the tour rather than doing it ourselves. It really took the stress out of the day and our guide (Sandra) and driver were both fantastic. Sandra really had excellent knowledge and was very entertaining. We were only a small group of 5 people and tour had the right amount of guided parts and then free time to explore both Sugarloaf and Christ the redeemer. I am not great with heights and was a little nervous, but i knew i couldn't come to Rio and not see both of these iconic attractions. Sandra made me feel completely comfortable and reassured me the cable car wouldn't be too traumatic and she was correct, it was very stable and there were plenty of places to stand away from the windows if needed.
I would definitely do another tour with Sandra as she made it a perfect day.
I’ve been on many many tours in many many countries . I have to say Katia is one of the best. She made you feel welcome from the first moment . She was knowledgeable and funny. Very patient and was there for anything you needed. Went above and beyond
Well organised trip with Carmen. Unfortunately Sugar Loaf mountain wAs closed for maintenance which they advised us of beforehand. While that was disappointing it was out of anyones control, So they substituted with some other sights that we wouldnt otherwise have seen. Carmen was a great guide, took photos of all the family and was easy to understand.
Would highly recommended this tour. Excellent tour guide, unfortunately his name escape me. He went out of his way to drop ourselves and another couple off at the cruise port. On the way back, he even took a detour due to roads being closed because of the Samba carnival, to the Maracana stadium and let everyone off the bus to take photographs. Then from here he took the group to a beautiful 15th century monastery next to cruise port. These two stops were included in the initial tour. Many thanks for a fantastic tour. Sorry we forgot your name
Christ the redeemer and Sugar loaf are a must.
A well organised tour that gave us plenty of time to enjoy the wonderful sights. A very friendly and informative guide made the tour extra special.
We were very lucky to have such a clear day...and our guide was eager to lead us to the best views!
We thoroughly enjoyed this 1/2 day tour. As each guest was picked up, Anna introduced everyone by name and which country we were from. The van was comfortable and driver very competent and punctual. Anna was able to get us near the front of lines for both sites, saving us time and standing in the heat. The pace of the tours was enough and not rushed. Thank you for a memorable tour to these historic sites!
This is a must see and do in Rio. At Christ the Redeemer it is almost surreal to be standing in front of it looking up at the size of this beautiful statue perched high atop the mountain. Sugar Loaf tram ride offers wonderful views of the area on both the ride and upon reaching the top. I recommend taking the early morning tour. It gets very crowded as the day goes on. We had clear blue skies at the Redeemer, but as we went up on Sugar Loaf later in the morning the clouds had moved it and totally obscured the Redeemer. So glad we did the early morning tour.
Two iconic sights with extremely good guide Kiko, only downside was Sugar loaf cable car not open right to the top.
The highlight was the view of Sugar Loaf mountain and all the little islands around it from Christ the Redeemer. That was amazing too and the guide was very knowledgeable and attentive to the less able members of our group.
Very enjoyable trip, 7 in the group, a little delayed at start but well worth the wait. Leonardo, our guide, was very knowledgable with excellent linguistic skills and very attentive with those in our group with poor mobility. We were very lucky with the weather, with clear skies whilst viewing Christ the Redeemer. Lots of photo opportunities. Very windy on Sugar Loaf Mountain with intermittent cloud but still well worth the visit with time to enjoy the spectacular views. An excellent choice if you only have a short stay in Rio.
Our tour was awesome. Being early, meant being at the Cristo Rendetor before all the huge crowds. Meaning better photos!!!! Our tour guide Vicente was awesome. He was very informative! We totally recommend this tour! Thank you Viator and Vicente and of course our driver Lino!!!
Nice tour, we loved being the first group up on the Christ Redeemer and the tour guide was really helpful.
Ana was a FANTASTIC tour guide. Not only did she provide insightful tips about Rio, but gave a wonderful overview of Rio history as we drove to and explored both locations.
And better yet - we were the FIRST ones to explore Christ the Redeemer of the day.
Don't let the early time discourage you - it is totally worth it.
I would highly recommend this tour! Myself and my friends were greeted yesterday morning (on time) by the lovely Ana and driver Biggy, they were both extremely friendly! Ana was a great tour guide, filling us in the history and allowing us to stay a little longer until the fog cleared. Great tour!
Excellent small group tour. Everything and more by the wonderful Kiko guide that was suggested in the tour add was provided. On time, safe driver mr.wilson, and mostly the magnificent guide Kiko. His knowledge of the history and colonial politics of Brazil and Rio de Janeiro we're fascinating. We an experienced Australian freestyle travelling older couple fitted in perfectly with a group of younger Canadians. Christ the redeemer, sugarloaf mountain and glimpses of the favelas and tales of the politics of them great. Don't hestitate to book this morning trip, and if you can get Kiko all the better.
The guide was very friendly and took care of everyone really well. The time of was perfect, there was no time wasted picking people up or waiting in lines all straight through. If you choice to go for the optional lunch later be ready for R70-100 expensive but worth it.
