As the first modernist project in Brazil it is historically important to the architectural development of Modernism in Brazil and has been placed on Brazil's UNESCO tenative list.

The Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí is a purpose-built parade area built for the Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The venue is also known as Passarela Professor Darcy Ribeiro or simply the Sambódromo in Portuguese or Sambadrome in English. It is located in the downtown area of Cidade Nova in Rio de Janeiro, and is the place where samba schools parade competitively each year during the Rio Carnival.

The Passarela da Rocinha is a pedestrian walkway located in the neighborhood of Rocinha, in the South Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Cross the Lagoa-Barra Freeway, linking the favela to the Rocinha Olympic Village. It was designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer.

The Teatro Popular Oscar Niemeyer (until 2013, Teatro Popular de Niterói), is a theater located in the Center of Niterói, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was inaugurated on April 5, 2007. It was named after its founder in October 2013.

The Popular Theater is one of the works that integrate the Niemeyer Way, a cultural and tourist complex of the city designed by Oscar Niemeyer on the border between the South Zone and the City Center

The Niterói Contemporary Art Museum (Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói — MAC) is situated in the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is one of the city’s main landmarks. It was completed in 1996.

Designed by Oscar Niemeyer with the assistance of structural engineer Bruno Contarini, who had worked with Niemeyer on earlier projects, the MAC-Niterói is 16 meters high; its cupola has a diameter of 50 meters with three floors.
