Excellent guide, four contrasting wineries and an interesting selection of wines - the day lived up to expectations I every way
This was amazing. We don't usually do guided tours, but boy, did we get this one right. Our guide Mike is an awesome guy who really knows his wines and the Chilean wine scene, so he provided a lot of great information on a very accessible manner. He was also very helpful when assisting us to create the script for the tour, which ended up being perfect. Everything went well and right on time.
Considering the distances that we covered on this one, the tour was really not expensive at all. On the contrary, great value. I'd not hesitate to do that again to other wineries. In fact, I hope I will.
It was a lot of fun. We went to a few different vineyards of various sizes which was nice to see. It was a good time.
A great day trip from Santiago with the very passionate and knowledgeable Mick as tour guide to enjoy some wonderful Chilean wines. A really enjoyable way of learning more and trying some Chilean wines.
I've done a lot of winery tours over the years but this was probably the best of the bunch. Mick, our guide, was very knowledgeable about wine and about the area we visited. Having a small group meant that we all had ample opportunities for questions, discussion and special requests. And the three wineries that Mick selected for the tour gave us a great overview of three very different types of wineries, from small family-operated to large multifaceted operations. Highly recommended.
Mick was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. We enjoyed the wineries he picked out, which included tours and tasting at Perez Cruz and Concha Y Tero and a tasting at Santa Rita all included in the fee. He also made a lunch reservation for us at Concha Y Tero. Lunch was not included in the fee but we had a wide variety of food to choose from as well as all the Conch Y Tero wines by the glass. We dined on the patio and very much enjoyed it. Perez Cruz, a boutique winery was our favorite and we purchased a bottle of their Limited Edition Carmenere. At all the wineries there was no push from them or Mick to purchase. We appreciated that Mick also brought along his wine tasting guide, waters and snacks.
Mick picked us up at 10am and had us back a little before 6pm, so it is a full day.
Excellent wine tour. Mick was a great guide who took the group to three very great wineries. The tastings were informative and entertaining. I would highly recommend the tour
This tour was fantastic and just as I’d hoped. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. There was a nice surprise at the end of the tour, it really added a personal touch. The group also wasn’t too big - no coach just a mini van. Highly recommend.
This was an exceptional tour. Mick Jackson our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to four wineries each offering something unusual and interesting from organic farming with chickens and llamas to a-beautiful lakeside picnic area where we snacked on cheeses with regional wines. Lunch was at a spectacular villa with extraordinary views. We even got to keep the lakeside wine. This was a very special day and well worth the cost. Highly recommend.
We went to 3 wineries. Each excellent. Guide was great, a so Miller and very knowledgeable. Great tour!!
My first time in Chile. Mick was a great guide. He put together an itinerary that included the big vineyards in Maipo along with some smaller ones. Tours were interesting and tastings were varied. Got a good feel for Maipo.
Thanks again Mick!
Tour guide very knowledgeable.
We loved the winery’s that were chosen to visit.
We had a great time with Mick! He was knowledgeable, fun, and easy to talk to. He customized our tour schedule to our interests, and made us feel like we really got a great deal. We were expecting a small group tour perhaps 6-8 people, but it ended up being just the two of us for most of the day we joined with one other tour group at one winery. Mick gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our trip, as well.
The opening tasting at Perez Cruz was outstanding because of the winery design, expertise of the guide and the barrel tasting. Santa Rita had great pluses of excellent regular lunch and the museum with artifacts from the history of the indigenous cultures of Chile. Mick was very knowledgable and personable.
Had a brilliant day visiting 3 wineries in our favourite Casablanca Valley. Tasted a lot and learnt a lot about a variety of wines.
Mick was an outstanding host, a pleasure to be with and very informative. Punctual pick up and drop off at our hotel.
It was the perfect end to an amazing holiday in South America.

Worth every cent. Had a great day with Mick and we learned a lot. Christian, our tour guide at Haras de Pirque was also very knowledgeable, patient and fun. We will do it again the next time we are in Santiago.
Mick put together a nice pairing of wineries to visit - especially Perez Cruz where the winery's guide was super informative while showing us their operation - along with a yummy lunch at the halfway point. Pickup and dropoff with my Santiago hostal location went smoothly too. A delightful day to the Maipo Valley area, be sure to enjoy the Carménère!
