Excellent tour guide. A very good way to see the city and get your bearings. Nothing rushed about the tour. Very knowledgable about life in Chile and Santiago culture. Most enjoyable time.
We had a great time with Christine and her husband on the tour! They went out of their way to show us All the highlights of Santiago!! Even went to a fabric store for my wife! We truly enjoyed the outing and received a good overview of the city.
Our guide Juan was a very nice, professional gentleman who gave a very nice half day orientation of the city upon our arrival. He was knowledgeable and understandable with accented English which allowed us to focus on areas we wanted to revisit on our extended stay. Nice job overall!
Since we were en-route from the UK in the 24 hours before our trip, we confirmed our pick up time and location by email when we booked the trip one month earlier. We had no problems. Isaac our driver/guide collected us on time outside the hotel. Isaac spoke good English, was very friendly and personable and wanted us to havé a good experience. We saw all of the highlights of Santiago, including a walking tour around the Plaza Major and had amazing views over the city from both hilłs, getting a good feel for both the history and modernity of this busy city. Because we had opted for the afternoon tour with the two hills we over ran our time because of the busy rush hour traffic. We returned to the hotel at 7pm. Isaac had insisted on showing us everything, despite his hour long commute home afterwards, and made this a great experience and introduction to the bustling city of Santiago.
Excellent guide who did both the Half day tour and the transfer to San Antonio. Very good English, funny, and very informative.
Diego picked us up promptly at the hotel for our tour. We drove around to get an overview and then walked around Constitution Square and the area. We saw the changing of the guard. It was very interesting and the band was lively. We tried to go up to the Columbus statue in metropolitan park but there was a bicycle race so we could only go halfway. I dropped and broke my camera and Diego took us to a store where I was able to buy a new one. He helped with the translation. Good tour.
We took this tour on our very first morning. Patricio our guide was very informative and had a number of interesting stories to share about Santiago. He took us all over the city visiting many of the key areas. The tour was finished by lunchtime and helped us get our bearings in a new city. Patricio had excellent English and was a welcoming and friendly guide. Thoroughly enjoyed our tour.
This is a great way to be introduced to the city in a few hours. We took this on our first afternoon in the city and our guide was excellent. We highly recommend this tour.
Henry was our guide. He was very good. He knew a lot about the history of the city. We were very lucky,as there was almost no traffic. We were able to walk in the downtown easily as it was not yet crowded. He showed us all of the sites in the area it was a great tour.
Really good except I don't like being taken to friends jewelry stores same as rug stores in other countries. Knowledgeable about his country's history.
Carlos picked us up at 3 pm, expecting to have 4 hours to show us the sights. We had had a change of schedule and needed to be back by 6 pm. We asked him to give us the highlights - whatever he had time to show us and thought we should see. Not sure I can remember everything, but it's definitely worth going up Santa Lucia Hill for a view of the city. There's a huge park Millennial? with whimsical curved bronzes over bridges, I think, a pond with black-necked geese, flamingos, and a lot more. In spite of the Friday afternoon traffic, we managed to get to all the sections of the city including London/Paris, see the new skyscrapers and what's left of the old downtown, a lot more parks Santiago believes in large green spaces. We had a wonderful experience, and thoroughly enjoyed having Carlos Carrasco as our guide. My traveling companion had been there before, and she said this was the best city tour she'd been on.
It was nice to have option of airport pick up and hotel drop off. However, it was mostly a tour of just driving around with little chance for photography or a visit to the Cathedral. Our attitude towards this may have been improved by a better guide/driver who was not so rude and brusque.
We enjoyed this tour. We wish it was a little longer so that we had more time to stop and look at things. That being said, it was worth the three hours and gave us ideas of where we wanted to go on our own on later days of our trip.
