This tour was excellent! We did the private tour with Christian and Pablo ? - sorry, I've forgotten the guide's name but he was excellent. He had lived several years in the US and spoke excellent English. We were in Coquimbo via a cruise and the two of them filled every minute of the time we had in port - they took us to the museum, several churches, Japanese garden, Plaza de Armas, English cemetery, La Recova market, the military base, and many other sites. They are obviously very proud of their country and village and shared a lot of interesting history as we toured the area. The view from the top of the Cruz del Tercer Milenio was breathtaking several people from the ship were disappointed that their tour did not take them into the Cross - they only saw it from a distance. Lunch was wonderful as well. Highly recommend this tour!
fabulous excursions. our guide and driver, Ferdinand and Christian were wonderful. We saw much more than we expected, all very interesting. Lots of laughing and great conversation. Very good lunch in a yacht club was included. Wonderful day
We were disappointed that the museum was closed. Otherwise, a great tour. The guide and driver were excellent: professional, flexible, friendly, knowledgeable. They went out of their way to arrange unique experiences for us. Lunch was excellent, and we greatly enjoyed our day!
We had so much fun on this tour. Our tour guide, Giovanna was a lot of fun and we teased her a lot. Our driver, Marcello did not speak English, but was so much fun communicating in other ways. Both were very concerned with how we were enjoying the trip. The tour was very interesting and informative. We really enjoyed our lunch, especially when Giovanna and Marcello joined us.
We met Fernanda at the Port in Coquimbo and we had an excellent tour of the city and museums in the La Serena area. Fernanda took us to the Presido which is on a hill that had a very look vista of the entire area. We were able to tour the Officers Club and it provided an good over view of the Military presence in this part of Chile. The Cross on the hill was a highlight as well as the old fort that had an impromptu Pirate show in progress. It was lots of fun. Finally she took us to a nice restaurant in Coquimbo that we right on the water and the food was very good. A tour and guide to ask for.
