Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Tlatelolco, Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast

Currently, the ruins of the Plaza de las Tres Culturas correspond to the ceremonial precinct of Tlatelolco, which bears similarities to Tenochtitlan, both in logic and in the objective: to form a city where the market and trade were the main activity.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe, Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast

The Basilica of Santa María de Guadalupe, officially called Insigne and National Basilica of Santa María de Guadalupe, is a sanctuary of the Catholic Church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary in its dedication of Guadalupe, located at the foot of the Cerro del Tepeyac in the Gustavo City Hall A. Madero of Mexico City. It belongs to the First Archdiocese of Mexico through the Guadalupana Vicariate that since November 4, 2018 is under the care of Salvador Martínez Ávila who holds the title of General and Episcopal Vicar of Guadalupe and rector of the Sanctuary.1

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Teotihuacan Pyramids, San Juan Teotihuacan, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast

The Pre-Hispanic City of Teotihuacan was one of the largest urban centers in the ancient world, which reached a population of more than 100,000 at the time of its greatest splendor. Located in a valley rich in natural resources, Teotihuacan was the seat of power of one of the most influential Mesoamerican societies in the political, economic, commercial, religious and cultural, whose features permanently marked the peoples of the Mexican highlands, transcending time and coming to us with the same strength and greatness with which its builders planned it.

Jose Luis was phenomenal! Very polite and informative. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend. Our driver Cristian, drove us to our destination very safely and we were very comfortable with the cold water that was given to us.

My sister, my 7 year old son and I took this private tour last week. The guide and driver came right on time at our hotel with a very clean big air-conditioned van. The driver had a cooler with a lot of cold water (very welcoming when it's very hot out) and other drinks. Our guide Carlos was very courteous, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He kept a close watch on my 7 year old and even held his hand while climbing up the pyramid and down. We never felt rushed nor pushed into activities we didn't want to partake in. It almost felt like we dictated the pace. Lunch was very good with spectacular views of the pyramid. On the way to the Guadalupe Shrine, given that I love churches, we even made a quick stop along the way at a deserted old church and Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the place being a history student. I would highly recommend Carlos any time and for their other day tours.

Our guide Ramon was hugely informative and answered all our questions. The tour took us to 3 wonderful places and lunch was delicious. Chris the driver was also lovely and a safe driver. The tour may seem more expensive than other however I would not hesitate to reccomend this tour to anyone, it was well worth it. The final stop at the guadalupe shrine was a fantastic end to the day. Thank you to Ramon and Chris for a fabulous day out.

Really enjoyed this tour. The guide was knowledgable and very thoughtful about how she organized the information. For example, she threw in a short stop at the Plaza of the Three Cultures on the way out of the city, which tied together the Guadalupe shrine (because the Plaza is where Juan Diego ran to tell the Spanish about his visit) and the Teotihuacan culture which is also represented there. The driver was also competent and the trip was comfortable and felt very safe. I would highly recommend if you would like to see a lot in a day, without the difficulties of trying to organize by yourself.

The tour is fantastic. Carlos, The tour guide, worked really hard to explain everything. We did everyting according to the tour descriptions. Not like other tours which reuire you to get up early, we were picked up at 9:00AM with plenty of time having breakfast. When we arrived at the Teotihuacan site, there were just not many people. We really had a good time there on the site. By the way, the lunch is also really good near the Pyrimides. I would highly recommend this tour and the tour guide. The driver, Luise, is great too --- the Van was always ready when we needed it.

I have bern to many places with many tours and this tour rates #1 for me. Carlos Calderon our guide was the best, knowlegeable, answered all our questions regarding the sites, also went out of his way (with his driver Arturo) to get us some delicious fruit!!! It did not bother them either that we asked for extra time at the Shrine of Guadalupe we never felt rushed. The lunch was delicious!!! This was our first day in the city and could not have a better start for the trip!!!

This was probably the best tour we have ever taken! If you're hesitating ... don't! Carlos, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgable and friendly. His english was perfect and explained all to us in detailed fashion.

Luis, our driver, and Carlos arrived on time to pick us up at our hotel. We immediately proceeded to visit our first site, the Tlatelolco ruins, the place where Aztec culture came to an end and modern Mexico began. On the way to the site, Carlos gave us a great primer on Mexican/pre-Columbian history. From there we headed to an artesian workshop where we learned of the many practical uses of the maguey plant. We also tried drinks derived from the maguey: nectar juice, pulque and tequila!

Soon after we visited the Teotihuacan pyramids about an hour away...fantastic! After climbing both the pyramid of the sun and the moon in the company of Carlos, we headed out to lunch nearby where we had typical Mexican dishes from the region including chicken mixiote, very delicious. Finally, we headed to the Virgin of Guadalupe Basilica. Again, Carlos explained the significance of the shrine and the meaning of the Virgin to Mexican culture.

I also want to add that Luis drove perfectly...we felt completely safe at all times. Overall, great experience, great tour!

We had a great tour of Teotihuacan and Guadalupe Shrine on April 7 this year. Carlos Calderon, our guide was just plain outstanding. Hi English was very good and he was extremely knowledgeable not only about the sites we saw but also about many other things. We learned so much from him about Mexican history, literature, art, politics. He was perfect for our needs, always ready to provide extra information, show us more. To the extent that he stretched our tour from 6 to 8 hours without asking for extra payment or even hinting at the tip. He was extremely polite, flexible to suit our needs such as the need to spend some extra time at the Guadalupe Shrine and accommodating. Ana, the driver was very pleasant and expert at navigating through the busy streets and roads of Mexico City and surrounding areas. We had a great time wit the two of them!

Carlos is one of the most knowledgeable, intellectually curious, and highly articulate tour guides I've ever encountered. I booked a private tour for myself, my husband, and my parents, and it was well worth it. Carlos customized our experience, spending more time in areas we were really interested in, and answering all our questions about everything under the sun. Would highly recommend - request for Carlos!

David and Arturo were great! They were warm, personable, and flexible. David was very knowledgeable and suggested some less well known parts of the Teotihuacan site that were gems -- wonderful additions that really set the trip apart from the typical tour. My daughter and I love photography, and we wanted to spend the bulk of the day in the ruins, and David and Arturo easily accommodated us and adjusted plans on the fly. Highly recommended!

We spent an incredible day with Veronica our tour guide and Louis our driver. Both of them were incredible professionals and provided us with an in depth and memorable experience. As a student of architecture, I expected to enjoy the Guadalupe Shrine, but I wasn't prepared for how impressive this complex of buildings is... Veronica brought them alive with a detailed history of both the historic and modern churches. We then ventured out further to the Teotihuacan pyramids... a great way to spend an afternoon. The scale of this complex of pyramids and surrounding buildings is astonishing. Be prepared for a steep climb up to the top of the Sun Pyramid... it's well worth it! Expect to have a great time with Veronica and Louis!

We had a wonderful time with Veronica out tour guide and Louis our Driver. Both were professionals and took great care of us from the minute they picked us up until they dropped us off at our hotel. As a student of architecture, I expected to be impressed by the Shrine of Guadalupe complex, but I wasn't prepared for the scale and scope of all the wonderful buildings. Veronica brought them alive with history and context of both the modern and historic buildings. When we saw more areas we wanted to explore, she gladly showed us around and offered a detailed history of the surrounding buildings. We then ventured out for an afternoon at Teotihuacan. The scale of this collection of pyramids and homes is astounding. Be prepared for a long hike up the Pyramid of the Sun... well worth it for the views. Veronica told us all about the history of the local people, their rituals and their relationship with modern Mexico. This is a great tour and well worth the investment in having a private tour guide.

Our tour guide David did a great job with showing us the highlights of both Teotihuacan and Guadalupe Shrine. The site is exceptional to see and David did a really great job explaining and educating us on the history of the Teotihuacan people. The Guadalupe Shrine is also exceptional. We were able to see how the story of Guadalupe came to be and how she became a symbol for the Catholic religion.
The tour guides were highly knowledgeable and professional.
