This tour was great! Omar was our guide and took us around the whole island. We had a chance to do a Tequila tasting, learn some history, swim and even snorkel. We were able to visit a nice private beach, which was very pleasant to not have to deal with the big crowds. It was extremely cool riding around in the buggy's, and the excursion takes up most of your day, so you definitely get a ton of value for the price. If you book this excursion please request Omar. He was Awesome!!
Amazing tour. Our guide Omar was very kind with us. The Buggy was very fun to drive. All 3 stops were different and interesting. The visit to Mayan village was instructive. The snorkling was great and really safe as long as Omar was with us all the time.
Our family group ages 6 to 62 had a wonderful day with our guides Omar and Haman. The combination of culture and fun made for a very memorable and exciting experience. We would recommend to anyone as long as you can shift a standard transmission.
The Thomas family from Canada.
We had a wonderful time. Even though the surf was too rough for snorkeling, I had a great time. Ronny and Omar were wonderful guides as well as the others, sorry I didn't get their names.
This has to be the best tour in Cozumel! Our guides Ronny and Jose were fun, knowledgable and saw to our every need. The island is beautiful, of course, but the best part was the visit to the Mayan village. We admired the cultural pride on display everywhere we went in the village. The price of the tour was worth it. My only recommendation to the owners would be to do some much needed maintenance on the carsthey were safe and pay these guys more--they made the tour a most memorable experience.
Great day in Conzumel! Buggies are a bit tricky to drive but great fun. We appreciated the visit to the Mayan village, with informative talk by our guide. Cool snorkeling with a dozen species of fish. Our guide Omar “cheated” and fed the fish so we literally swam in the fish school.
Amazing day with Ronny on the Cozumel Self-Drive Buggy Tour! We were a little worried to have booked something ourselves going off the beaten path of the canned tours the cruise company offered. But it could not have been easier to find the right place, just a short walk from port. Once we found the right place, we learned we were the only two guests on the morning tour. We thought that might be a bummer just our car following Ronny, but it turned out to be like having our own personal guide across the Cozumel countryside. What a perfect day it was, zooming along with the wind blowing through our hair, driving down the beautiful coastal roads of Cozumel. Yes, the buggy was super fun and easy to drive I am experienced with stick shift -- not sure what you do if you're not. The stops were awesome. And we had just the right amount of time at each place. Even the rain wasn't enough to take away from our day. It just sorta became part of the laughs and fun we had. Last stop was a great little bar/cantina located right by where we did the snorkeling. Snorkeling was pretty amazing. Maybe it was just our day, but we saw a couple of lobsters, a lion fish about 30 feet down, a moray eel, and even a big barracuda stalking a school of fish just beyond our reef. All in all, a nearly perfect day. Highly recommended. Terrific value for the money. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!
We had a great time on our tour. Hernon and Omar were great. Driving the buggies was a fun experience for the family. We had our two kids, 6 and 9 with us. I really enjoyed the nice mix of activities. A good reasonable drive to the other side of the island to spend a bit of time at a nice beach and then to the Mayan village for some cultural exposure to how Mayans lived and continue to live today. Then off to the final stop for snorkeling and lunch. I recommend for anybody looking for something a little different then the standard beach and snorkel.
Awesome, very informative and buggys were fun to drive. Highly recommended!
You will not regret taking this tour. The buggy was so much fun to drive. A manual stick-shift made it worth while as well as our guide Ronny. He was so informative and was very attentive to our needs and so accommodating. I highly recommend this tour!!!
So, we opted to take this tour because it would give us an opportunity to tour Cozumel in a super fun self drive buggy. Well....what we did not know was that it was standard/stick which neither my husband or I realized when we booked it. Our tour guides Ronny and Omar quickly resolved the situation by allowing Jose another guide to drive the buggy for us. That was the best thing that could have happened since Jose gave us a guided verbal tour of everything we were seeing. He spoke to us of life in Cozumel, his beautiful family and took care of us while we were snorkeling amateurs. He was absolutely wonderful in every way. We were so grateful to have met him. This was definitely an extra special experience because of Jose. I highly recommend this tour not only for the sightseeing, but for the snorkeling, El Cedral old Mexican village and Jose, Ronny and Omar.
This trip was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The guides were incredibly attentive to every detail. We traveled a great distanve in the buggys which was fabulous. You get great time driving the buggys and also get to see the beauty of Cozumel. The Educational portion was a great addition and the snorkeling was safe and fun! This is the best buggy tour out there and the guides make all of the difference!!! The cars were in great shape!!
Ronny and Herny not Henry are the best! They are so knowledgeable and fun!
From start to finish we totally loved our excursion. Our tour guides were more than attentive, and they took extra care to see that each and every one of us had the best time ever. Our first stop at the beach was amazing. The aqua blue water and white sand made it just a beautiful place to stop and play in the water. Our next stop at the Mayan Village was interesting, and we were able to sample some of the Mayan cooking..... delicious. Our final stop was snorkeling, which was a bit disappointing. Not that our guides didn't take good care of us, we just had minimal luck seeing a variety of fish. We ended our day with a wonderful buffet lunch at a beautiful hotel. I would highly recommend this excursion. It is appropriate for all ages and well worth the price!
This trip offers an excellent way to see the island of Cozumel! Beautiful places that we never would have been able to go to. It was a lot of fun to drive these buggys. The Mayan culture part of this tour was highly informative and extremely interesting, we really enjoyed the inland town of El Cedral. Omar and Ronny were great guides. We thought that the food at the buffet at the hotel at the end of the tour was tasty. Unfortunately, the wind was really blowing and the surf was rough, so the snorkeling part of this tour was cancelled, which was very disappointing nothing that they could do about the weather, but it would have been nice to have an alternative backup plan for another activity.
The Buggy tour was a ton of fun. We loved the history when we visited the Mayan village. The buggy's do need to be serviced a little as our suspension was very rough, but it was still a great day touring the island.
We began our day with meeting Ronnie at the hotel where the tour began. He was sweet and funny. We got into our dune buggies and took off for a trip around the island. Our first stop was at a gorgeous beach where the water was warm and clear. We also were able to enjoy an adult beverage at a beautiful location, the office. We then got back into our dune buggies with Omar see the pictures below in the front leading us, and Ronnie at the back of the group, and headed to our text stop. El Cedral is a Mayan village where we visited a local resident's home, enjoyed a homemade taco, saw a small mayan ruin and the first Mayan Catholic Church, did some tequila testing and buying, and shopped in the little village. The things we learned we amazing! We then headed back into town and did some snorkeling and had lunch all included in the tour. Ronnie and Omar took extremely good care of us the entire day and made this excursion very memorable. They were there to answer all our questions, provide for our every need, and make us laugh. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
Great tour! The cars were great, be aware that they are standard, so practice before going : the drive was awesome, cultural part was very nice, made food for us, had drinks, beach stop was a nice area, just to get some pictures, etc. The snorkeling was very nice, rough winds made the waves tough but swimmable. Great tour, great tour guides and the group was fun!
