Definitely a lot included for the price! I would recommend. Kevin and Cesar were very nice and helpful guides! Overall enjoyed my experience with Amigo Tours!
Tour covers Mexican points of interest in a timely way along with historical facts. Guide(s) posses a wealth of knowledge and are open for questions and discussions
This tour is fantastic! Time is a liiiiittle tight, but tour guides were wonderful unlike a different Amigo Tour which was torture and you see such great things and have such a great experience on both days! Truly recommend!! ESPECIALLY recommend because it's sooooo much more convenient for a tour bus to take you to the places outside of town. We had Carla and Ariadne Adi on the first day, both wonderful, and Sergio younger Sergio, not the terrible one we had on a different Amigo Tour and Jocelyn on the second day, also both wonderful.
This tour covered a lot of historical places. Our tour guides Jocelyn and Alex are very good. Highly recommended! Also, the drivers of Amigo Tours are very professional. We booked 3 days of tours during our 5-day visit in Mexico City.
The tour guides were a ton of fun, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. My kids and I had so much fun on this tour! And, the food on the Xochimilco boat was the BEST!!
The Lady of Guadalupe Church as well as the impressive pyramid make this day amazing. It is a full day of travel so be prepared, but well worth the time.
Recommend this trip if you have only a few days in Mexico city, day 1 is Tlatelolco, Guadalupe, and Teotihuacan the best is Teotihuacan our guide Clara and Sergio gave an informative tour with time to look around and with a sense of humor. Day 2 Frida Khalo, Xochimilco, and the University of Mexico, the best tour yet, Ariana and Emmanuel gave the best tour of all, funny informative, an professional. Xochimilco was the highlight of the day, food was great and the band was wonderful. Thank you had a wonderful time and well worth the money and time.
We had a terrific time on both of these trips. The information provided by our tour guides, Joycelyn to Xochimilco, etc. and Alejandro to Teotiuacan, etc. was informative, interesting and not over the top. We were given free time at all sites visited and any questions were answered. The timing of each place visited was perfect as were breaks for lunch. Highly recommended and a very good value.
We did two days. Day 1 was the pyramids and it was hot. They are amazing. We had Francisco as the English guide however we found out that Roberto, the Spanish guide provided more thorough info. The lunch buffet was very reasonably priced with lots of options. Tastings of traditional alcohols was fun as well. They take you to a store before the lunch but the prices from vendors inside the pyramids are much less. Day 2 was good and bad. Our pick up point was the national auditorium however there was a Breast cancer run that day and the roads were closed. We tried calling all the numbers on our voucher and couldn't get anyone. We finally asked a tour guide from another company for help and had to take a cab to the last meeting point. No one from Amigo Tours tried to contact us and we were two couples who had provided two cell phone numbers. When we arrived, our tour guide Daniel who was amazing told us this was a Spanish speaking tour, which we don't speak. It turned out okay though. We had a lot of fun but one warning. All four of us got sick later in the day after eating the food on the trajunera boats. Two of us really bad and we had different things. Tours were worth it, just be careful of the boat food!
I think this tour package is amazing and for the price, truly a super saver! Yeah, it starts out a little dicey, I'll explain later, but it all comes together at the end. First, the tour guide Gabriel is an unbelievable tour guide, images of him as an Inca warrior comes to mind-with his strength of knowledge and gusto to tell his history is soooo interesting. He knows his stuff, and happy to share it genuinely as a warrior would. This is a two day trip. On day one, you visit the ruins and the next day you visit the shrine and Xochimilco. So you need two consecutive days to enjoy this tour package. Secondly, the meeting place is a little worrisome as they request that you meet them in one place, then they have some one with an umbrella pick you up and take you some where else, where the buses are waiting for you. This tour is rigorous, and long. Your day starts at 8 AM and returned at 9-10 pm. But It was Fun!
Fantastic tour to see some of the amazing history of Mexico. Highly recommended!
El tour esta increible...un viaje completo. Lo malo la impuntualidad de la empresa que realiza el tour.
Kevin was an excellent tour guide! We did so much in a day. The company was very helpful in assisting us find the meeting spot, I just recommend they hold up or put up a sign to make it easier to locate them. I was so happy w our experience, I would definitley book another tour w them.
This tour was excellent! The only thing with visiting the shrine, the time is too short but other than that excellent!
Day 1, Guide Francesco Cabal Driver Antonio
Excellent trip. We headed to the Tloteloco Cultural center and then to Guadalupe Shrine. We had sufficient time to go up to the original Basilica but had to be quick though.
Lunch was at Tacaelel Restaurant and Boutique on the way to Teotihuacan. The buffet was varied and pricey at 190p. Skip the buffet and try the escamole quesadilla it is a small serving. Escamole is offered mainly at restaurants with a pre-historic menu and at fancy restaurants so take the opportunity to try this extremely tasty meal here. After lunch, we visited a craftshop and tried pulque, etc. Then onwards to the Teotihuacan pyramids where Francesco gave us an explanation of the rooms and then free time about 40 min to walk around and/or ascent the moon or sun pyramids. There are vendors at the pyramids I was able to negotiate a good deal for a Mexican handmade blanket which was much less than similar ones sold at the craftshop.
Day 2, Guide Francesco Cabal Driver Benjamin
We stopped at Coyoacan market which was wonderful but did not have enough time there. We then went to the Kahlo Museum and were given about an hour to tour the museum on our own. Note that the museum is only one direction and staff do not allow you to backtrack.
We also went to the National Autonomous University and saw Rivieras piece outside the Soccer stadium. We also saw the library mural on campus.
Then we headed Xochimilco was good to learn about the history of the area and see the lifestyle. The trajunera boat was not that fascinating to me. Most trajunera food vendors served elotes, roasted corn, and snack food but not meals. Our lunch vendor came by and we were told that they have a buffet offering but was not really a buffet as you could only select one main dish which came with rice and beans. At 150 p, it was highly over-priced considering that you could get something similar for half the price or less.
Overall, getting the super saver is worthwhile because of the savings. Our guide was excellent he gave a lot of information and spoke excellent English.
Amigo tours will pick you up in well located spots in Mexico City, and communication was quite easey regarding pick up and drop off.
On the first day we saw the gadaloupe shrine beautiful, tasted tequilla and learned about the production and, finally, we went to the pyramids amazing. The guide was very thoughtful and instructive.
On the second day we went to Coyoacan. The local market is very intersting. A nice place to try local food. We also went to Frida Khalo's house, which is really nice for art lovers. FInally, we ent to Xochimilco, wich, in my opinion, was the best attraction in Mexico City.
Our guides were Sandra and Lourdes. Both very kind.
