We really enjoyed this tour! The types of foods and styles of restaurants were varied and a good representation of Polanco. The pace was good, we did not feel rushed, nor did we linger too long at any locale. We actually went back to one of the restaurants, Guzina Oaxaca, for lunch during our stay. Lois did a great job! He was very knowledgable, informative and personable. Lois clearly enjoys his job and is passionate about food! We highly recommend this tour w/ Lois!
Excellent Guide Mr Luis Vazquez , Polanco is a beatiful town , Amazing food !!! a must do in Mexico
Great trip. Out guide Louis was really knowledgeable and nice. I'm vegetarian and I was worried I won't have a great variety to sample form, but the tour was very accommodating to anyone who is vegetarian. Highly recommended.
the tour is a nice view into polanco. A beautiful borrow that has some of the city's best restaurants and top chefs putting out authentic food and also a large variety of international foods. this tour only goes to authentic pre spanish and post spanish days. luis our tour guid is a very knowledgable guid about the food and area. he is very helpful and can answer almost all your questions. had a really good time and learned alot about the food the people and mexico city it self also a lot about the polanco area.
My 21 year old son and I took this amazing tour with an outstanding guide, Diane. She was professional, communicated well, and provided our small group with 6 restaurants to sample from, as well as pointing out important aspects of Polanco as we walked from place to place. The restaurants were outstanding and my son and I learned a lot about this lovely part of Mexico City. This is a must trip for foodies and those who wish to explore beautiful Polanco.
Unfortunately I managed to forget to tip Diane who deserved a nice gratuity. My son and I were the first to leave the group at the end, and it escaped me.....She is a wonderful tour guide :
Wonderful tour. Our guide Luis was so knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time with him. And the food was fantastic. A beautiful area of Mexico City to walk around. Definitely worth doing.
5/5 amazing! Best tour guide and just overall spread of tastings was amazing! A little bit of everything you can imagine and just the stories and the history to each food item was greatly appreciated. I dont think I have one favorite but all of the restaurants were my favorite and yes dont come with a full stomach because you will eat a lot of food! Best experience and it was all walking in a beautiful little part of mexico city.
I learned so much from Luis whose knowledge and enthusiasm were impressive
It was such a wonderful tour. Our guide Luis was great! I really enjoyed the history of all the different foods and sauces featured on this tour. If you would like to learn about traditional Mexican food and try the best versions of the dishes and drinks in style, this is the tour for you.
Luis' passion for food shines through on this tour! Walk around the beautiful Polanco neighborhood while learning more about the cuisine and history and Mexico. The food was simply DELICIOUS. Highly recommend and one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico City.
We had a wonderful tour with Luis. Great conversation and the best tamales ever.
We loved our food tour of Polanco, and because we were the only ones, we got the private-tour treatment. Luis was great and gave us not only history but insider recommendations so juicy I'm not sharing it! We ended up re-visting most of the spots during our stay.
I highly recommend you do this on your first day to get to know Mexican foods.
On the day of the tour, I feel terribly sorry as I was running late. So, what I suggest doing is, if your hotel is far from Polanco area, it is best to go a little early as the traffic can get quite crowded.
The guide was very knowledgeable and informative of the history of Mexico as well as the food and the selection of tastings was excellent. At the end of the tour, he also asked restaurant staff to call a taxi driver to pick me up, great hospitality!, would definitely recommend!!!
Luis was an excellent host on this tour. His knowledge of the culture and food was almost overwhelming. Yes, the price was a little high but we felt it was worth it. Overall, we were very impressed and surprised by Mexico City!
This was the best thing we did in Mexico City. Our guide was a culinary expert, and took us to places we had wanted to eat at but didn't have the chance. I cannot say enough good things about this. Do it. It's a great value even at 75, trust me and you will not regret it!!! We all LOVED it.
