My younger daughter is 7 years old and didn't have experience before. The crew took care of her very nicely all the way by leading her horse carefully. All horses are very well trained! Nelson talked about local culture and nature, which were informational! We also swimed in the small cenote, which certainly was not the best but my daughters loved it!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed the guided tour through the jungle, and hearing about the mayan legends around the cenotes and local flora. Horses were gentle and tame for our kids who were first time riders. The cenote swim was quite spectacular, and the guides were charming. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful setting and opportunity to have fun on horseback while enjoying and learning a little about natural features in the area. Horses are obviously well loved and cared for. Swim in cenote was most refreshing! Horses were matched to ability so it is fun for all levels. Guides were friendly and entertaining. Highly recommended.

Alma and her crew were great! The horses were easy to manage even for inexperienced riders and the the guides were funny and informative.

I did not swim but some of my family did and really enjoyed it.

They missed getting 5 by having outrageous prices for pictures. We would have bought some but they were way too pricey. We did another excursion where the cost was very reasonable.

The guides took great care of us and worked with our schedule to make sure we would make our next adventure. They did not rush us but rather personalized the experience for the two of us. We had a wonderful guide named Alma who was informative and expertly helpful. The animals are rescues and loved!

We had an amazing time riding horses and cenote exploring with Bonanza Ranch. I absolutely loved my horse! The guide was very informative and kept us entertained. All I would change would be the ability to maybe trot with the horse rather than just walk although this may not be an option for all due to skill levels. I would definitely go back!

This tour was amazing. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The animals are all well looked after and the swim in the ceonote is so refreshing. I'm an experienced rider but my partner had never rode before and he loved it as the horses are so well behaved. Highly recommended:-)

My husband and daughters had a wonderful time! Rancho Bonanza was great!
The horses, guides, and Cenote swim were amazing!
Remember to bring insect repellent, the ranch supplied helmets that are fashionable as well :
One highlight was the driver who picked them up from Puerto Morelos in a limo.....totally unexpected and just a bonus!
Thank you Viator for arranging that :

MY DAUGHTER AND I ENJOYED THIS EXCURSION. THEY HAVE PLENTY OF BUG SPRAY. THE RIDE IS A LITTLE BUMPY BUT NOT TO LONG AND JUST ENOUGH TO GET THE EXPERIENCE OF RIDING THROUGH THE JUNGLE IN WHICH WE SAW DIFFERENT ANMIALS SUCH AS A HAPPY MONKEY..LOL. THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH REFRESHMENTS AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT. AFTER THE JUNGLE RIDE FEEL FREE TO JUMP IN THE OPEN 12 FT CENOTE...BE SURE TO BRING DRY CLOTHES YOU ARE ABLE TO CHANGE THERE

My wife and I had a great time on this tour. The horses were well trained and easy to ride even for a novice like myself. The tour guides were nice, fun, and informative. The tour ended with a swim in a cenote which was definitely a great experience. I would definitely recommend doing the morning tour as we were able to beat the heat for the ride, and then swim around noon when it started heating up.

Very fun! We booked this tour online a couple of months before our vacation. You must absolutely call to confirm the booking, especially if you are expecting to be picked up and brought to the ranch from your hotel. We stayed at Marina El Cid in Puerto Morelos. The first three people we were transferred to on our confirmation call had no idea who we were, where or why we were calling. Once we got it straightened out, all was great. We were picked up 5 minutes early and brought to the ranch. We were greeted by Victor, who speaks excellent English and has excellent people skills. We met the ranch dogs, signed the papers, were fitted for helmets, and given clear instructions on how to mount/dismount and steer the horses. My boys 19 and 24 years have never been on horseback before and loved it. My wife and I both have done some riding. This is not really a horseback ride. It's a gentle stroll on horseback with horses who for the most part would follow the pack if you dropped the reins and fell asleep sitting up. That said, the staff are great. They carried on conversations about the flora and fauna, and we dismounted and heard a story from Victor, were offered waters, and mounted up and ambled back along the same trail. Wear insect repellent. They offered some there, or bring your own, but use it, especially on your necks. The cenote is fifty yards from the corral. They have towels and an area to change. There are also free lockers for your belongings. The dogs jumped in after us while we were swimming which for us was a treat. Snacks were some chocolate bars and chips with drinks. Our whole family enjoyed the outing very much. They have a photographer taking pictures and have a single charge for the entire disc should you choose to buy it. There was no pressure. The staff were all terrific. Consider bringing some spare for a tip. They work hard and deserve it.

Excellent 1/2day. All animals are rescued. Staff are happy, well informed and ready to share some Mayan legends. Discovered how chewing gum was made. Swam in a cenote towels provided. Snacks included also.whilst you enjoy a ride through the jungle a photographer pops up periodically taking excellent photos ready to purchase at a very reasonable price at the end but with no obligation to buy.
Highly recommend this activity!
