The nightlife in Mexico City is second to none and provides an enormous variety of entertainment – but this is one show not to be missed!
For approximately sixty years the Ballet Folklorico of Mexico, founded by artistic director Amalia Hernandez, has performed more than 15,000 shows to 22 million people worldwide. The folk dance company preserves Mexico’s traditional arts by filming dances, recording music and photographing costumes from regions throughout Mexico, and presents these forms on stage.
Marvel at the dancers in their magnificent costumes – including multi-colored shawls, embroidered shirts, sombreros, fans and ribbons – as they entertain audiences of all ages. You’ll enjoy this vibrant spectacle full of movement and exciting rhythms that delight the senses.
As you listen to the music and watch each choreographed dance, learn about the folk traditions from various populations in Mexico – from the Mayan Empire of the Yucatan Peninsula to the cowboy cultures of Spanish-colonized Jalisco.

This was great but I realized actually that you can just buy tickets at the kiosk near Chapultepec Castle for like 40, or I imagine inside the venue itself, and take the subway right to Palacio das Bellas Artes. Or walk there. I ended up being the only one on the tour but the guy picked me up at a random hotel I picked, and ended up dropping me off at my house because I didn't want to walk home 30 min in the dark by myself. He was really nice. Way overpriced though considering how inexpensive the actual tickets are. The show was absolutely awesome though, 10/10. Go see it one way or another.
Excellent show. Non stop bright Mexican dancing and music. Wonderful costumes. Well worth the money and time. The building itself is a gorgeous and worth the visit on its own.
The folkloric ballet was absolutely stunning, and getting the chance to go inside the Palacio de Bellas Artes was a breathtaking experience myself and companions will never forget. The transportation to and from our hotel was smooth and very professional.
This was fantastic and worth every Penny. A must see when going to Mexico City!
We were picked up at our hotel promptly and taken to the theater. Our seats were excellent. Our guide was waiting across the street afterward. Couldn't have been any better.
5 stars in overall acceptance, fairness, courtesy among all involved, events. It would be most unfair to state any negatives, shall plan yet another mini vacation in mexico city.

The performance was exhilarating. The transportation was on time and very pleasant.
This was so beautiful to watch. The seats were excellent and the Palacio de las Bellas Artes is beautiful. It was a great reason to dress up and have a nice dinner
Ballet was great. The price of the tickets were grossly overcharged. You would be better off buying tickets direct and taking a cab. There are plenty of seats available since this show has been running for decades
My driver was prompt, courteous, and helpful. Ballet Folklorico excellent!
The Ballet was wonderful, thankyou to Victor for finding us at the airport as well as taking us to the ballet and looking after us. We were sad the ballet had been had been moved to the Museum but it was still a fantastic night.
