My friend and I enjoyed this tour tremendously. The tacos were all tasty. Our guide was both funny and informative. The tour size was just right. And there was just enough walking time between tacos, that we didn't feel stuffed by the end. My highlight was the last stop for a churro for dessert!
Bernardo was our guide for the evening taco tour. We went to 8 different stands, we learned some of the history behind each stand, and we got to see where locals eat. We learned about the culture of Puerto Vallarta and saw some amazing sights like the Cathedral. After the taco tour we ended up going back to a few of the stands during our visit because their food was amazing.
This tour is a must for anyone wanting to experience off the beaten path taco eateries and stands. The food was delicious and truly a fabulous evening. Our guide for the evening ensured each person in our group was attended to and paced the walking part of the tour so everyone could keep up with the group. The definite highlight of the evening was the Churro stand and the end of the tour.
This was an awesome tour! Such amazing local spots, a variety of different types of tacos, and plenty of food to fill you up! Also a great way to see different parts of Puerto Vallarta! Highly recommend
Our group of 6 had a fabulous time on the taco adventure. Our leader Juri was extremely knowledgeable and delightful to be with throughout the evening. We enjoyed each restaurant and taco stand we visited and loved the walk through different neighborhoods. We appreciated that the tour accommodated 1 of us with a gluten allergy and another who is a vegetarian while the rest of us were able to have the varied meats, fish and sauces that were particular to the locale. Our bellies were happily full after 7 stops, plus a very cool stop at a lounge and finishing the night with deliciously sweet Churros. We will recommend this tour to others.
Great time best excursion of our trip. Guide was a great guy and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend but do not eat before you go!
Shawn was awesome knew the town and knew the taco stands and the history behind them! There was not a bad taco in the bunch and the churros where amazing !! Fun night walking all over the city!!! Would totally recommend this tour and would go on one of your first nights so you will know where to go back to!!! Great fun!
This was a really cool tour and I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to see more authentic parts of the city and enjoy a diverse set of tacos. It was just the four of us so we had a private tour. Our guide Miguel was great and very knowledgeable and took us to different taco stands in the area and knew the history of the owners and the types of food. It was also nice to walk around between stops. This included a short bus ride in between which was also a welcomed opportunity to ride a city bus in downtown. A great way to spend an evening. Make sure you come to this tour hungry, because there is a lot of eating it is a full dinner by the time you are done sampling all the tacos.
This tour was an excellent start to our trip! Our guide Manuel was very friendly and accommodating. He took great care of us at each of the 8 stops we made. We LOVED the tacos al pastor and fresh churros. At the end of the tour, we were stuffed and went back to our condo very satisfied.
Totally worth it! We did this our first night in Puerto Vallarta and it was the perfect way to get the lay of the land. Honestly, there were almost too many stops as we were stuffed and exhausted by the end. We made it a point to stop back to many of the stands during our stay and learned a lot about the locals and culture.
The tour was great! Amanda was very informative and fun as our guide. There was so much food! You definitely get your money's worth!
What a great way to spend the evening and discover some of the wonderful Mexican food carts and small, local, historic restaurants that you would otherwise pass by. If you like to get into the authentic foodie scene in PV, this is a great way to start.
Our tour guide Amanda made the evening very enjoyable and educational.
This had to be the best tour period. Amanda once again delivered a top notch experience. She took us to taco heaven basically. It was very hot but once you got to the taco stop all of your worries go away. Lol. You get to visit several taco stops and I would recommend this tour first to get a lay of the land.
Taco tour is awesome. Amanda showed us the way to Taco Heaven. It was a little hot but that didn't stop us from our journey. Go for the beef taco. It will change your life.
We absolutely loved our taco tour in Puerto Vallarta! It was one of the highlights of our trip. You go to 8 different places for tacos, many of them being stands. All of the tacos were delicious and you get a great variety as well. The smoked marlin and al pastor tacos were amazing! Our tour guide, Manuel, was fantastic. He is a private chef, aside from being a tour guide, so he was very knowledgeable about food and was able to give great suggestions. He answered all of my husbands many many questions and even took the time to draw us a map of additional restaurants to try during the remainder of our trip. We tried 3 of his suggestions and they were all great! The best part is, we actually saw Manuel a few days later while visiting one of his suggestions and he helped us to order and pay. It was pretty cool. I would not hesitate to do another food tour here, especially with Manuel.
The trip was very well organized, and the leader was very professional but very friendly. Thought the different tacos were perfect choices and the people who did the cooking and so forth were very eager to please. Also enjoyed walking through the different neighborhoods. Definitely will recommend.
Worth it even if the food is free at the hotel! We loved this tour! Manuel did a wonderful job explaining the history behind each venue, cooking techniques, and spice level of each sauce! : We loved that this tour gave us the opportunity to check out restaurants and taco stands that we never would have otherwise on our first trip to Puerto Vallarta. We also loved walking the streets of Old Town and the 10 de diciembre nighborhoods with a knowledgeable guide and learning about the area!
This is a must do tour if you are in PV. You should do it the day of or the day after you arrive to get an idea about the local food scene. You will taste the best local food. Our guide Amanda grew up in PV and had in depth knowledge about PV. Our nineteen year old daughter, my wife and I enjoyed the tour as well as the food very much. We highly recommend it.
My expectations for this tour was tasting various types of tacos and different taco stands. What we got was that plus so much more. It was basically a food tour, a city tour and historic tour all rolled into one. Ricardo was great and took his time with the tour to show us various things around the city, explain the different tacos and food items at every stop and answer all out questions. Tour stated 3.5 hours and ours lasted 4.5 hours. One of the best food tours I've ever taken!!
