"Obee" was our Guide and filled our day with information and good old fashion Mexican Humour. We only had one difficulty with a cruise passenger that thought the rules should be re-written for him. The couple obvious did not read the rules that stated - "CRUISESHIP PASSENGERS SHOULD NOT book this tour..Our trip was cut short as the belligerent passenger wanted to be taken back to cruise terminal NOW, did not give it any other thought about the other people who also booked this tour, which was myself and husband included. Obee was going to make back to the terminal on time, however to close for the cruise ship couple's comfort. I do not think that the Tour Guide or other people in the group should have been affected due to ONE couple that could not read RULES. I will leave this to management to figure out for future Tour's
The tour guide Odom was very patient and informative .He also had a great since o humor.it was hot so he keep the AC flowing
Amazing Tour! Informative and knowledgeable tour guide Antionio! AWesome driver Mario...
Definitely worth the money!!
This was a pretty comprehensive tour that covered a lot of territory. Unfortunately, we weren't aware of the time change when our cruise pulled into Puerto Vallarta so we were late meeting our guide but a liaison took us to him and gave us some city history on the way. Carlos was so friendly and helpful, I highly recommend him and would definitely go with him again if we go back.
We fully enjoyed this tour. We were a party of 8 and picked up exactly on time by a 16 passenger van with 4 others, so lots of room. As first time travelers to Puerto Vallarta, this tour gave us a great introduction to the area. Our guide Mario was very knowledgeable about the area, and lots of fun. The Tequila distillery was a must see and the lunch location was a lovely restaurant in a small village well off the beaten path alongside a flowing creek. Picture taking while holding huge iguanas added to the day.
We had such a good time on this tour. Our guide Jorge really loves the area and you can tell!, We had Woody at the tequila factory for our expert and he was really fun, you can tell he loves his job as well. Lunch was fresh and tasty, even my picky eaters enjoyed it. Well worth it!
The tour was good, informative and relaxing.
We had authentic Mexican lunch at a family owned OK restaurant in a serene river side location.
The guide Angel was friendly and patient. Driver Antonio gave us very smooth ride. The tequila tasting was a fun activity.
Overall the day well spent to get know about PV.
Had a great tour guide Tomas. We were on the cruise ship and the ship time is hour later than PV so we missed our pickup by 30 mins had to pay cab ride to downtown $15 to meet up with the tour. This tour didn't incl the Mismaloya beach and spent to much time @ prearranged shops would like to see more
My husband, friends and I booked a full-day city highlights tour when our cruise came to port on Wednesday, Nov. 29th and had a great experience. Carlos was an excellent tour guide, had a great sense of humor, was extremely knowledgeable with the history and culture of the area and took great care of us. If I ever return to Puerto Vallarta, I would definitely take another tour with this company again. Thanks, Carlos for a great tour!
Great time. Picked us up at the hotel and met at their location. Boarded the bus and headed out. Carlos was a great guide and told us quite a bit about the area. Lunch was fantastic, a platter for 2 with 2 corona’s, and a water was ljust under 1000 peso. We were stuffed. The tequila tour was great,
Carlos our tour guide and Maricio our amazing driver made this tour fun. I would have rated 3.5 if possible because I was hoping there would be more walking. Most of the Day was spent on the bus. Lunch in a little town was great, and the tequila tasting was fun!
Very Interesting trip out from PV. Tequila factory and making tequila was very interesting and informative. Also tasting gave me more than just going in the shop and buy a bottle. Lunch was very good after tequila factory and after lunch other tequila tasting was very good stand-up show. Very good day and informative about Jalisco and Mexico.
Our tour guide was Carlos. He was great, bi-lingual and quite knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I would totally recommend this tour. It is roughly 6 hours long so allow yourself enough time to enjoy it. The tour of the Tequilla factory was informative and fun. We had an opportunity to shop at several roadside vendors. The lunch after the tour was amazing. All in all a fantastic day. Thank you, Bob and Cindy K
Don't just stay in your resort/hotel! Sign up for an Informative and a basic tour of the city Puerto Vallarta. We enjoyed the tour of the outlying areas and especially the Tequila factory tour. We had a good salesperson/hosts and we learned a lot about how tequila is made and how to properly drink it. The lunch afterwards was good too. It was a great tour because of our tour guide, the expert driver, air-conditioned van, and the hotel pickup and return. Highly recommended for those that want to experience PV's highlights and a short stay in Puerto Vallarta. The tour would be difficult for those with mobility issues. There are sales associated with the tour, but no obligation to buy. By the way, please tip your tour guide and driver, and others you encounter on the tour especially, if the service was excellent. Be nice to people:
This is a great tour to take so that you can see things that you might want to go back and see later on your own. I don't think they should spend so much time at the jewelry store and spend some more time at the churches, the boardwalk etc. But all in all it's a great tour. Would suggest doing it with in the first two days that you are visiting so you can go back and spend more time at the places if you would like.
I highly recommend it...Carlos was funny and personable....great combination. He even took the time to take pictures for us.
The city tour was a lot of fun! The tour lasted about 7 hours. Our tour guide showed us all over Puerto Vallarta. The tequila distillery was the highlight of the trip. Thankfully our tour guide spoke English and Spanish even though my bf and I were the only non-Spanish speaking people in our group.
This tour was great! We got to see the city and so much more!!! I highly recommend this tour for those who want to see ( and hear history) Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas and the mountains. The food at the restaurant next to the tequila distillery was fantastic and so was the tequila samples!
We really enjoyed our City Highlights Tour. We saw parts of the city we would not have seen staying at our resort. We saw parts of the city and got out of town and saw some beautiful sights outside of town. We stopped at a family restaurant to eat that was away from the tourist crowd with 'grandma cooking in the kitchen' with very fresh food. We enjoyed the tequila making tour and learned to taste the correct way--not with salt and lemon like we heard about at home. It was a fun day. The guide was knowledgeable and it was good to get away from all the touristy spots for a day.
