What to Expect What to Expect

Your 30-minute horseback riding adventure begins with a routine safety briefing and you will then be matched up with a horse that fits your riding experience. Your guide will go over all of the riding instructions before leading you out on the trails to go down jungle paths, past mangroves, an animal farm, a Mayan house and the tequila farm before the path opens up right on the beach. You will spend the majority of the ride admiring a breathtaking view of turquoise blue clear waters of Cozumel, México (due to Marine Park regulations riding in the water is prohibited).
When your ride is complete, you may stay at the beach club and enjoy the facilities and pay as you go. You may purchase its famous All-Inclusive Beach Day Pass which includes all you can eat and open bar.

Great experience with family or friends. I would suggest wearing pants because the horses had something on them that ate my legs up! My friends had bites on their legs too. Nothing that a little Off, or topical benedryl cream cant fix. This was something different for us and we enjoyed it.

The teenagers in my group said the horseback riding was the best activity of their vacation. This was a first time for them to ride and they had did not have any issues at all. The trail is through the jungle with a short ride on the beach. While most of the ride is a walk, there is an opportunity for a short gallop on the beach. A group of photographers, associated with the resort took a number of very good pictures at the beach of both individuals, as well as, the group. The prices asked for the photos were very fair.

What fun we had riding through the trees to end up on the beach. Our guide was excellent! He let us run our horses on the beach and the photographer got a great shot of it. I have always wanted to ride horses on the beach!

This was something I've always wanted to do, but we really didn't get to go riding on the beach, but for a second and it was to hot to put those horses through that, and they have a pen for ducks and deer that is way to small, the deer was not impressive to us it was sad to see them in such a small space and knowing that they can't have any freedom. please let the animals go it is not exciting to see them like that. We can see and enjoy them in their natural habitat. I will not recommend this for anyone to do.

This tour was great! The staff was very friendly and paired us with the right horses for each of us. They even offered to take some pictures for us on our cell phones. We went through a little trail with some trees and then eventually got to the beach and the view was beautiful. The horses didn't go too fast unless you wanted them to go faster. Overall it was nice and relaxing, not too long, not too short. It was exactly what we wanted, just a nice little ride and a view of the beach. Also the price was very affordable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 30 minute relaxing horse ride!

Our family of 4 had never ridden horses before, so this was a perfect tour for a group of beginners. Our guides were great! They began by allowing us to use their bug spray because we forgot ours on the ship. Martin acquainted us with our horses and they gave us horses that were kind to newbies. Our four horses were well trained and easy to control. During the first part of our tour, we went through the jungle and were able to see deer, iguanas, and ducks. Martin was kind enough to take my phone to snap pictures for us. This definitely made my wife happy! The trail led us to the beach and we rode along the shore. Our guides lined us up for a group picture, which we really love! The 30 minutes were perfect for us and we loved every minute of it!

Despite the fact that I've never been on horse before, it was an amazing time. They pair you up with a horse to your skill level and even though it was only half an hour, it felt just right.

It was a short trip, but our guide was friendly. We were able to trot on the beach rather than just walk the entire time which was really awesome! The photo at the end turned out wonderful. It's been a dream come true for me to ride a horse along a beach, especially one as beautiful as Mr. Sanchos!

I made our reservation for horseback riding online. We showed up, checked in easily and met our friendly guides. The horses were tame and healthy. We rode through a tree covered trail for about 15 minutes then came to a beautiful beach. We were allowed to trot the horses a short distance, which everyone enjoyed. The guides took photos, which were available for purchase. After the ride we stayed at Mr. Ponchos and enjoyed the beach. This was a nice, relaxing excursion and fun for kids and adults.

I've never rode a horse before and this was AMAZING! The tour guide gave me a horse for beginners and my husband had a little more experienced horse. At first I was very nervous, but the guide was so helpful and he rode with us the whole way and made it very easy and enjoyable. We rode through a small forest area, saw tons of iguanas and then out onto the beach which was beautiful! The horses are very well trained and very calm. I actually ended up going a little faster because it was so easy! We tipped nicely at the end, as it was well deserved. This excursion is an absolute MUST! The horses were friendly and the experience was unforgettable!

The ride was fine but the price if you just want to go on the beach afterwards is outrageous. Make sure the saddle fits and the stirrups if you are tall or experienced this is critical.

Ride felt too short and you are not allowed near the water, but the guides allowed us to gallop on the beach for a little bit and took great pictures of us using our own camara and theirs. Of course, their pictures came out better than ours and by the time we came returned from the ride, someone with two framed pictures of us was waiting by the entrance. Mr. Sancho's is a very touristy type of resort, but very practical with a bit of everything for a few hours of fun and relaxation and even a free tequila tour with taste testing all in one convenient place.

Horrible. Too many bugs to go more than 10 minutes, cab back to town twice as expensive as to get there. People trying to sell stuff the second you get out of your cab. Might be ok for cruise ship day visitors, but if you're staying in Cozumel or Playa, save your money. Horse keepers were nice and polite, but other than that..........
