The archaeological site of Chichen Itza is a must see while in the Mexican Caribbean. The site was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007. It is one of the representative Maya Culture areas and you'll be able to tour the place and see the main landmarks including the Temple of Kukulcan. Your local, certified guide will explain all the physical, mathematical and astronomical knowledge that the ancient Maya applied in the construction of this majestic Mayan city.
After the tour, you will leave at your leisure to take advantage to buy some crafts at the numerous stalls inside the archaeological site. Leaving the archaeological site of Chichen Itza, you will go to Hubiku the impressive cenote. This majestic and huge underground natural pool will serve to freshen up and get active in contact with nature. After this refreshing swim you will eat a delicious food buffet.
Your tour then continues to the archaeological site of Ek Balam, one of the last cities found and where more mystery hides. It has a main building with other few buildings that can still be climbed to the top so you can enjoy the wonderful views. After this, you'll be dropped-off back at your hotel.

Wonderful especially Javier, the driver, and our tour guide Joel. They were incredibly informative, helpful, patient and caring!!!!
Joel our tour guide was awesome. Very versed in the Mayan culture and history. Told it like it is. Everyone in our group really enjoyed his ability to explain the symbolism and meaning of the Mayan artifacts and the reason they did what they did. Our driver, also named Joel got us to and from very efficiently. Cenote and lunch were excellent. Hibuku cenote was beautiful and fun to cool off after touring Chichen-Itza. Ek Balam was great with Joel giving us super interesting facts abut this Mayan complex. The stone carvings and the temple were the best we had seen. Thanks Joel for a great tour.
